The property can use some maintenance. When we arrived at the hotel, there were signs that the elevator was broken. We stayed three nights and it was not fixed. There was also water leaking from the ceiling in the lobby towards the end of our stay. The faucet in our bathroom was not secured and would move to the side when we turned it on. Our room had less than a half roll of toilet paper and no rolls in backup. There was no housekeeping service to the room while we were there.We had to ask for more toilet paper at the front desk where they gave us one roll when we ran out. There was no hand soap and the shower wash was empty. Housekeeping came to our door when we requested some with a clear unmarked bag of shower gel to refill the container and 2 bottles of conditioner. There must have been a communication issue.The space was roomy other than the bathroom. It probably was a nice hotel in its younger days. They may be understaffed although the staff we came in contact with was friendly.

Hotel is old and dated, nothing is in good condition. Rooms old, light bulbs burnt, no soap in shower dispensers. 2 elevators in property, one did not work at all, the second was out of order 3 times in 2 days!! The only elevator that work occasionally you share with hotel staff for cleaning

Weeds fill the front arrival area. The pool is out of service as well as one of 2 elevators. The property is worn and generally dark. The pics online must be 10 years old. Check-in went quickly but the clerk omitted details. Staff that spoke to me were friendly. The hotel needs to be freshened-up

The elevator was broke the 6 days that we were there! The morning breakfast was poor, the items that were there were few and seemed stale or old., There was a mistake on my part that only booked me for 6 days instead of 7. When I tried to extend for another day I was told it would be $150 . I was not finished with my work in Austin and liked the location but felt like it was time for me to go, I left after the 7 day and checked into another hotel.

I did not like that we had to ask fro fresh towels every day. Also, i forgot my body soap, so i had to use theirs, which was empty. We had to adk for that. Pool was green and closed during our whole stay. And complimentary breakfast was eh. Pancakes were not edible. Only 1 variety of juice.

We stayed at the Sonesta Select Austin North from July 2 to July 5, and I can honestly say it was one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had. We flew in from Michigan to spend precious time with my daughter’s husband before his year-long military deployment, hoping for a comfortable and meaningful trip. Instead, we were completely misled by the photos and descriptions online; it felt like we were catfished. I had previously stayed at the Royal Sonesta in San Juan and had a wonderful experience, so I trusted the Sonesta brand. Based on the photos on Expedia, I booked two higher-floor rooms, expecting a similar level of quality. Upon arrival, we were informed that the elevators were out of service — and had been for some time. No prior notice was given. Because of this, we were moved to rooms on the first and second floors. Climbing the stairs to the second floor with luggage and a baby was bad enough, but the overwhelming stench in the stairwells made it nearly unbearable. The rooms were in poor condition. They were dirty, with visible stains on the furniture and bedding. We found pubic hair in both the bathroom and the bed. My daughter's first-floor room smelled heavily of marijuana and had visible black mold throughout the bathroom. Even worse, housekeeping never came during our three-night stay. No fresh towels, no toilet paper, and no basic cleaning — when we asked the staff, they simply said “no.” But the most disturbing part? My daughter found a roach crawling

After checking in we went to the room, #211, and immediately discovered dirt and debris on top of both beds. Went back downstairs and informed the desk clerk who was very apologetic and immediately offered another room informing me there was no staff to go in and clean it. We went to the that room, which was across the hall #212, and were hit with a mildew odor. It wasn't too bad so I turned on the A/C and after several minutes it dissipated. We began settling in and then discovered that the bedding underneath the cover sheet was stained with brown patches and what looked like drops of blood on the other bed. Additionally, the shower/tub area had mildew growing along the grout lines. Once again we requested another room, this time a room on the 4th floor was offered. We went to it and the odor in that room was so offensive that we couldn't bear it. At this time we we decided enough was enough and we checked out. On top of everything else the hotel had no wifi and was no longer serving breakfast. Also, there seemed to be possible criminal activity going on in the lobby. I respectfully ask that Expedia obtain a refund from Sonesta Select Austin North and return it to my credit card account.

I wish I could post pictures. There was so much makeup on the comforter that is looked as if someone used it to remove their makeup. Then I lifted the comforter to inspect the bed and found hair on the sheets. After a long day of travel I decided to sleep in my clothes to get through the night. The elevator door sounded as if it is going to break at any moment. All the carpeting throughout the corridors and rooms are frayed. The showers were dirty and had mold. I don't recommend this hotel whatsoever and is very overpriced. I'd suggest staying in a motel over this facility. I was unable to any kind of refund or even a sorry for the dirty room.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! The only good things was the front desk clerk was very polite but other than that never again!! Hallways smell like ramen noodles, bathroom smell moldy, pillows looked so dirty, I checked for bed bugs and didn’t see any so that’s a plus. My family felt itchy through out the night. Breakfast was so gross my family picked at it then went to buy breakfast instead. There was an actual hooker with a man who was bare foot in the breakfast area so that already told me the type of place I had stayed at (I know this cause I heard him talking to her about it) I mean you get what you pay for, we were just passing through so now I know for the next time, pay that extra for a better hotel.

Everywhere in the hotel there were smells of marijuana, the beds were unkept and both had stains and one bed had a dead bug. The sink was clogged. Overall hotel smelled dirty. Receptionists however provided customer service.

The pictures are very deceiving of this property. I truly thought it was a good place to stay based on the pictures just because we are out of town peoole. The beds are super hard. We killed multiple roaches in 2 different rooms. We got moved an found strands of hair in the bedsheets. The elevator was so bad that it sounded like it was struggling to open and then it would jump when it would take you up the floors. Probably one of the worst hotels I’ve been to in a long time.

Great location ~ went for an event at Moody Center and minutes with Lyft. Room was clean and comfortable. Restroom could’ve been more up to par( shower had very poor pressure and shampoo dispenser broken and on the floor).

For the price, it’s tolerable. Clean enough to stay, nice enough staff, the parking was VERY convenient, location was far away from traffic, and the price was really nice. Down sides were: Hallways reeked of cigarettes, only one elevator worked, some lights and outlets did not work in the room.

My husband nd i stay in a lot of hotels. This one was reasonably priced so we were kinda cautious as to what to expect. To our surprise the room was not only beautifully decorated with a nice spacious lay out which included a couch, table vanity area, sepwration wall from the bed and the livingroom area. The bed and pillows were comfy and clean with god sheets. And unlike many other hotels, this one was very clean! Thank you for a comfortable place to stay after my surgery at St. Davids North Austin. Quick and easy drive.

My hotel room was as expected and enjoyed the bed and slept well. That was all great. My check in was not. I waited in the lobby for 15 minutes waiting for someone to arrive at the desk. It was around 8pm- ish. I had to call sonesta customer service to see if they could reach the hotel i was standing in. There was no one working and 3 other people came down looking for a desk person as well. When she finally arrived , I told her I had been waiting for someone to check in. She didn’t apologize, infact she ignored me and asked for my id. Upon that , she didn’t give me any guidance on where my room was or info at all. She just handed me my keys. Worst customer service. This person is essentially representing the hotel and did a POOR job.

During our three-night stay, the elevator was out of service, and our room was on the fourth floor, which meant we frequently had to use the stairs. Additionally, there was no housekeeping for our room, so we had to go to the front reception upon our arrival and every day afterward to request clean towels. Unfortunately, the phone at the front desk was never answered. One employee, Dashanti, was particularly rude. She yelled at me when I inquired about when the elevator would be fixed, and when I asked for towels, she threw them at me. Overall, we experienced very poor customer service from Dashanti, who was unhelpful throughout our stay. This made our time there quite unpleasant, and I would never want to stay at this hotel chain again or recommend it to anyone. This was our first very bad experience, and it will be our last.

We were sorry we didn’t the reviews. Every negative review was exactly our experience. Toilet paper roll opened. Half used soap and shampoo. Multiple lights didn’t work. Stains on bedding carpet furniture and ceiling. Rooms smelled like smoke. No cups or coffee in room. And now the good. Breakfast!!! I don’t know who these cooks were but wow. Authentic home cooked eggs sausage hash browns and biscuits. Staff seemed friendly given the challenges and guest complaints.

The staff is extremely helpful and nice. Only one elevator is working and that makes it very difficult especially on a busy weekend like UT graduation. The hallways are hot but the rooms are cold and comfortable. Front office staff and custodians are amazing. This is our second time staying at this location because of the staff. However, getting the second elevator working would be beneficial not just for customere but for staff as well.

I called a head of time to get an early check in, the first time they said it was to early for them to determine if that was a possibility and asked me to call closer to the date of check in. I called a couple days before and i was told that the earliest I could check in for free was 2pm anything before that it would be an extra charge so we agreed for 2pm check in instead of 4pm. We arrived to check in it was 2:30pm and we were told we could not check in until 3:30pm. I made them aware that I spoke to Robert for them to be ready for us to check in at 2pm and the reception did not seem to care if we spoke to someone or not. We had an event to attend to at 330pm so I had to start getting ready in the public restroom of the building and it was very hot in there. When we finally got into the room the TV did not work.

Only 1 gal up front when trying2check in AND check out..both were busy peak times, long lines not enough staff. Our vehicle was broken into and various items stolen, door handle was jammed & broken now must pay to repair. Asked4towels, clerk said maids will clean room & put clean towels…yeah, that didn’t happen, returned at midnight, exhausted & no towels2 take a bath, not good. Elevator way2 small and needs to be cleaned & deodorized please. Breakfast was good both days & staff was polite…

The ice machine on either floor did not work, only the one on the fourth floor. The mini fridge froze over and could not be used. House keeping never took out our trash or gave us new towels. I was never told that they would need a $50 deposit for each night. Only one elevator was working amd some how this is a 4 star rated hotel. But mostly the king size bed is not a king size bed.

Immediate area around the hotel was quiet and secluded, but a block further and homeless camped out everywhere so I wouldn’t say walkable. Grounds were clean but not impressive, a little weeding goes a long way, trash can outside the lobby was overflowing. Check in was easy but there was no going out of the way to be personable or give us directions to the room. Room was adequate and clean. A/C cover broken, half of the channels on the tv were pixelated and distorted like as if the connection was from the 90s, snags in the rug, side lights of the bed didn’t turn on. Bed was lumpy but again adequate. Breakfast was included from 6-9a, we went down at 8:30, everything was empty like the place was ransacked but never refilled. Only things left were some hard boiled eggs, go-gurts, and a punch bowl of sausages in grease. Went to say something to the front desk, but he was helping another guest while eating out of a bowl of cereal with cell phone out and earpods in. Grabbed our stuff, checked out and went to get breakfast elsewhere. I probably won’t return to this location when in Austin but would recommend for an adequate quiet stay with zero expectations for amenities or frills.

The property was okay, I expected more. Our room had very dim lights and some lights were not even working. When we told about this, the staff said at least they are working right. There were also flies in the room. We insisted on changing the room but the staff said the same thing. The complimentary breakfast was also okay. When asked the staff what is the menu, tell us about it the staff said it is what it is.

We picked this hotel for the full buffet breakfast. Got down to have breakfast and we had the option of a hard boiled egg, toast, coffee. Spoke with the front desk thinking we were late and missed someof the breakfast options. It was 8:30am and breakfast went until 10am. Was told management changed the breakfast, showed a list of things that they do have now but still none of that was out to have today. Manager was not due to arrive until 10am and we need to get on the road and now stop for breakfast as well. Very disappointed and dissatisfied.

Advertised continental breakfast and wi fi but WiFi was down for our entire stay and they are no longer serving breakfast as advertised. No soap in the shower to utilize, sheets and towels had hair and was not clean, fridge and microwave was missing. I will not be booking with another Sonesta.

This was the most affordable stay we found and weren't expecting much however, we were impressed by the room amenities and how tidy the room was. The free on-site parking and free complimentary breakfast were a complete perk. The breakfast really stood out as it tasted homemade and their biscuits were delicious like country diner style biscuits. The coffee was also great! They didn't have overwhelming breakfast options but the ones they did were tasty and the lady taking care of the breakfast was attentive and kept it stock even though she was the only one we saw working the breakfast area. We didn't get to tell her personally because she was so busy taking care of the area.

Hotel was clean, easy access to freeway and had several restaurants close by. The room and beds were very comfortable and check-in was quick. Our biggest complaint was the breakfast. We went down about 40 minutes before it ended and there was barely anything left. We had to settle for biscuits (which were excellent) and a few greasy sausage patties for hot food. There were several other guests waiting around with us seeing if more food would be put out but nothing came. But of a bummer but overall it was a nice place to stay.
