Across many reviews, travellers praise Ferman Hotel Old City -Special Category for its central Sultanahmet location, consistently friendly staff, and a rooftop terrace where a generous breakfast is served with sweeping views of the mosques, sea and city.
Rooms are generally comfortable, with many spacious options and some smaller, cozy ones, and overall cleanliness and daily housekeeping receive consistent praise. Guests also value practical help such as airport transfers, local tips, and occasional upgrades; minor drawbacks include occasional mattress or AC issues and challenging parking for drivers. Overall, expect a warmly run base ideal for exploring the Old City.

Facilities
The rooftop terrace/restaurant is a highlight, offering panoramic views of the mosques, sea and city, and it's where breakfast is served. A couple of reviews mention complimentary afternoon tea, while isolated remarks note no pool access and challenging parking.

Loved the location and its proximity to main attractions and restaurants, while still being quiet. The staff were very accommodating and friendly, and the breakfast was fantastic. The view from the rooftop was pretty spectacular too. Would recommend a stay here.

Great hotel. Location was perfect - it was so easy to access all the main tourist attractions on foot. Breakfast was good and on a great roof top terrace with awesome views of the city, mosques and Mamara Sea. Staff were genuinely friendly and very helpful. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Very pleasant experience to the hotel. Staff very attentive, hotel very clean including the room, delicious breakfast with various choices on the menu and the location was fantastic: rooftop terrace with view on the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia and on the other side with the Bosphorus. The hotel is a walking distance to main historical attractions like The Topkapi Palace, The Basilica Citern, the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia in Plaza Sultanahmet. It is located in the historical area with quick access to public transportation, restos, and souvenir shopping. Uber works also very well. A little bazaar nearby and the Grand Bazaar is a 15 minutes walk. Thanks again Ferman Old City Hotel. If to return we’ll certainly stay here again.

Hotel upgraded our stay for 4 nights to a suite that had a balcony and view of the sea. Each and every staff members were helpful and attentive to all our needs. Breakfast in the mornings had a great selection of Turkish and non Turkish food. The best part of our stay was the view from the rooftop deck. We got great tips on where to eat by the staff. Thank you all for a memorable trip!

We booked the two bedroom option which in fact were two internally joined rooms. They were spacious and clean. Room service was good and daily. The aoartments were across the the small road opposite the hotel. A typical Turkish breakfast with plenty of choice. All the staff were very helpful and polite. As for location it us only 60 yards to the start of restaurants and shops. Even better on 3-400 yards from the blue and Sophia Mosques.

The hotel is conveniently located and most of the attractions in then old city are walking distance. Public transport and restaurants are close by.

This was my first time in Istanbul, and I couldn't have had such a great experience without the wonderful assistance from the hotel staff. Ferman arranged my transportation to and from the airport. They were very friendly, and courteous, provided tips for places to dine, and tips for travelers. The staff was very knowledgeable. We had four people in our room, and the room was very spacious, had three different bed options to accommodate all of us, was high quality, clean, and had a large, spacious, and modern bathroom. Overall this was a fantastic experience, and I would highly recommend Ferman to anyone traveling to Istanbul.

Title: An Unforgettable Stay at Ferman Hotel Istanbul - A Perfect Blend of Comfort and Convenience Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5 stars) I recently had the pleasure of staying at Ferman Hotel Istanbul, and I must say that it exceeded all my expectations. From the ideal location to the spacious rooms and impeccable service, every aspect of my experience was nothing short of exceptional. First and foremost, the hotel's location is truly unbeatable. Situated within walking distance of the Blue Mosque and the Grand Bazaar, Ferman Hotel offers easy access to some of Istanbul's most iconic landmarks. The convenience of exploring these incredible attractions on foot added an extra layer of delight to my stay. Speaking of the rooms, they were incredibly spacious and boasted a balcony, which provided breathtaking views of the city. The highlight for my kids was undoubtedly the rain shower, which they absolutely loved. The room's comfort and amenities ensured that we felt right at home during our entire stay. Another aspect that impressed me was the reliable internet connection. Whether it was for work or leisure, having fast and uninterrupted internet access was a definite plus. The hotel's commitment to providing a seamless online experience is highly commendable. The breakfast at Ferman Hotel was simply outstanding. With a wide variety of delicious options and the availability of tea and coffee round the clock, it was the perfect way to start each day. Review at google...

The location of this charming hotel is simply unbeatable. Situated in the heart of the historic Old City, it offers easy access to some of Istanbul's most iconic attractions. The Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace and the Grand Bazaar were all within a short walking distance. The hotel's reception and staff deserve a special mention for their service. They were always polite and ready to assist with smile and a wealth of local knowledge. I would definitely recommend.

Extremely happy with our stay at the Ferman Hotel in Istanbul. You cannot ask for a better location specifically if you have limited time. Close to all the historical sites. Above all the staff was super helpful. A shout out for Omer, very friendly and helpful gentleman. Our room got upgraded when we arrived at the hotel. I apologize that I don’t remember every one’s name but all staff at the reception and breakfast station was extremely polite, professional and friendly. Thank you for making our stay very pleasant.

It is located in the historical area with quick access to public transportation, restos, and souvenir shopping. Uber works also very well. The hotel is in the best location. So many local restaurants to choose from, and a walk away from the sea shore. Really safe area with tourists around. The hotel itself was wonderful, the staff were welcoming and absolutely helpful. Their English skills are better then mine as a native speaker. The staff know the area well and give honest advice. Have told my whole family to visit the Ferman Hotel.

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. It is very close to the tram just be five minutes walk. The staff are outstanding, especially I would like to mention Nusret he's at the front desk he's a very helpful person. At night, there was not that much noise from outside what helps as Istanbul is a very busy place.
