The room was smaller than anticipated and the refrigerator was a nightmare. The freezer was a solid mass of ice.

Honestly, the only reason this is getting three stars instead of two is because of the excellent manager Kim and comfortable room. We had booked our stay starting the evening before our red-eye flight was scheduled to arrive, I specifically called the hotel a week in advance to let them know we would be checking in early the next morning, the clerk read back the note he had taken. When we arrived Kim informed us that the note had actually never been entered and, as such, our reservation had expired. She was able to get us into another (slightly better) room though, which made up for that mix up. Next was the issue we had with cleaning. We were told that the room would receive a "refresh" every three days. We were there 6 nights and they did not clean our room once. We ended up having to take out our own trash and flag down one of the cleaners to get more towels and a single extra trash bag. The pool, while cold, was enjoyable though at one point there was a notable sewer-gas smell permeating the pool room, seemingly from one of the deck drains. This issue only occurred once so may have been dealt with by maintenance? The complimentary breakfast was good; the front desk was very nice and provided things like extra coffee pods or breaking bills for change to use the guest laundry. The room itself was spacious and the bed comfortable. I also really appreciated the smart TVs so I wasn't stuck watching basic cable like at a lot of hotels.
