At Hotel Montreal Metropolitan, BW Signature Collection, travellers often find large, generally clean rooms and friendly staff, but the highway-side location brings road noise, and free parking across the street under an overpass feels awkward and sometimes unsafe.

We stayed at Montreal Metropolitan two nights in mid-May 2026. The hotel is nice, the rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff was nice and helpful. There is a restaurant on site. The only complaint about the room was that the window towards an interior atrium, at the same level, so somebody walking by could look inside. We had to keep the curtains closed all the time. The location is not good... It is in a neighborhood that has a bad reputation. It is right next to Autoroute 40, which is elevated in this section. It's not close to downtown, we used Uber and it was a 20-30 minutes drive every time. The alternative is the subway or city bus, there are stations pretty close. They have free parking, which is under A-40 right in front of the hotel.

Excellent hotel. Clean and modern. Good pool and wonderful breakfast. Unfortunately there was a lot of construction in the area so it was impossible to walk anywhere. Otherwise an excellent stay.

When I checked in, the guy at the front desk, finished the transaction put the key down on the counter and didn’t say a word. After about 10 seconds, I asked him if we were all set, and he said yes. The TV didn’t work. At all. The Wi-Fi was terrible, barely usable. I got a room with the kitchenette, but there was absolutely nothing in there. Maybe that’s normal. I would’ve liked to have had at least some utensils. There is a fitness center on the third floor, which I found by accident on my way out. There’s not a sign of any kind to indicate where it was. Lastly, the neighborhood is a bit sketchy at night time. On the bright side, the price was great lol!

I had no problem with any of the staff on site. A lady was very kind and gave my friends and I water since the vending machine was out. Our room was clean. The walls are a thin so we heard our neighbors often and it sounded like they were in our room. I suggest bringing earplugs for sleep since you're next to the highway. I was a little sketched out because of where the hotels parking was. it was under the overpass and I saw reviews saying that other peoples cars were either stolen or windows were smashed, thankfully my car was safe but I was immensely worried so I constantly checked on my vehicle and even thought of choosing a parking garage for the weekend.
