Advertised restaurant - NONE, manager's reception - NONE, soundproof rooms - DEFINITELY NOT (could hear everyone in the building as well as outside.). Booked and paid for service to & from airport - pickup at airport was fine; however, when it was time to leave, they FORGOT to order (after it was prepaid), and we were 40 minutes late. Satellite TV only worked for about an hour on 2 days, the rest of the time it either said bad signal or no service; was told they woud fix it, did fix it, and neither statement was true -. WIFI did work. Staff was friendly, but basically lied to us about many things.

The pros: This property has a rooftop offering a beautiful view of the Suleymaniye mosque and is very close to the grand bazaar and within walking distance to Beyazit and the tram station. The staff are friendly and helpful. The location is quiet and only 2 minutes walk to the suleymaniye mosque It has good WiFi connection and air conditioning. The cons: Not an easy location to drive to or for pick up from a taxi because the road leading to this property is so narrow just like many roads in Istanbul. The buffet breakfast is the same every day. However, this a budget hotel so we knew what to expect. Overall we were pleased with this property.

Room was smaller than expected but space was clean, staff were friendly and breakfast excellent. Good location and great views from the top floor.

Ein kleines schickes Hotel. Es sollten mal ein paar Dinge gemacht werden. Offene Steckdosen, Lüfter im Bad, jedoch ist es wirklich liebenswert. Das Frühstück kann man für dem Preis weglassen. Ist wirklich nicht die Welle, ein paar Meter laufen bewirkt da Wunder. Die Lage ist wirklich TOP.!!!!!! Direkt an der Moschee. Alles zu Fuß erreichbar. Der große Markt usw. Die Inhaber sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wer Istanbul sehen will und gut übernachten möchte.... ist hier genau richtig.

Thank you for a really lovely stay. The management at this friendly hotel are hard working and could not be more welcoming and helpful. Its location in the old town is perfect and the views from the lovely modern terrace room on the top floor, including over the adjacent Suleymaniye Mosque, are beautiful. Don't be put off by official star ratings: the hotel is modest in size and has limited facilities, but it is charming and offers excellent value for money. HIghly recommended.

Attention, quand vous réservez via l’hôtel le transport jusqu’à l’aéroport. Nous nous sommes retrouvés sans van à 4h du matin. La réservation n’a pas été faite malgré le paiement en liquide et en euros la veille (il n’acceptait pas la carte). Veilleur de nuit extrêmement désagréable il faut insister pour le réveiller et lui demander de l’aide (dort de tout son long dans le canapé). Il n’a pas très envie et souffle beaucoup. Il nous soutenait que nous n’avions pas réservé et rien payé. Ou est notre argent ? … peut-être ailleurs que dans la caisse de l’hôtel. Notre erreur ? ne pas avoir demandé de reçu. Nous nous retrouvons donc dans un taxi commandé à la va vite par je ne sais qui. Nous avons donc payé une prestation de service onereuse (van privée, tout confort) pour rien. Pas d’excuses et en prime on a gentiment été mis à la porte par le veilleur de nuit car je cite «  c’est pas ma faute et pas mon problème ». Dans les commentaires je peux voir «  personnel très présent : alors oui ils regardent beaucoup la télévision, le téléphone et font acte de présence dans le hall lorsqu’ils dorment.

Such an atmospheric neighborhood around the old university and Suleymaniye mosque! The very reasonably priced hotel is two attached turn-of-the-century Ottoman houses with a peaceful rooftop breakfast room/cafe with amazing views! You are right across a narrow street from the Medrese (Islamic college) attached to the Suleymaniye Mosque, and from the breakfast room, the domes and minarets look close enough to touch! Photo op! Room was small but clean and comfortable. No luxury there. I was happy there was a lift to the upper stories, so no luggage inconvenience. Desk service was unusually kind and helpful. Altogether a memorable stay. Would definitely go back but ask for a room with a bit more space. NOTE: the street the hotel is on -- Kanun Medresesi Sk. -- is narrow and hard to find, but on first arrival, taxi could just drop you at the entrance to the Suleymaniye Mosque and you can just walk around the corner. Or get off at Veznecıler - İstanbul Ünıversıtesı Metro stop and you can walk up 16 Mart Sehitleri (which becomes Suleymaniye Cd.) to the hotel street. Not a bad walk if you have light luggage!

Nette kleine Unterkunft, nur wenige hundert Meter von der Süleymaniye Moschee entfernt. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Das Zimmer war sauber, tolles Frühstück. Der Frühstücksraum ist im obersten Geschoss mit Blick auf die nahe Moschee. Die wichtigsten Attraktionen sind zu Fuß in 15-20 Minuten zu erreichen. Das Hotel hat einen Shuttlebus von/zum Flughafen für insgesamt 100€ (für alle Personen) angeboten, das hat wunderbar geklappt. => Würde ich jederzeit wieder buchen!

Appena arrivati l’addetto alla reception ci ha consegnato le chiavi senza dirci dove si trovava la stanza, abbiamo girato tutti i piani per trovarla. Stanza sporchissima e piccola. Sotto la porta d’entrata c’erano 10cm di spazio, asciugamani sporchi, l’acqua del lavandino non scorreva…la stanza non era quella che avevamo prenotato. Abbiamo chiesto chiarimenti ma il signore ci ignorava e quando abbiamo chiesto di un responsabile diceva che non era possibile. Dopo 3 giorni ci hanno dato un altra stanza perché è arrivato il manager. Stanza decente e abbastanza pulita ma accanto alla reception e si sentivano tutte le voci. Il receptionist la sera tardi alzava la musica e litigava con gli altri ospiti quindi non si riusciva a dormire. Quando è arrivato il manager il personale ha ripulito tutta la struttura per il suo arrivo. Noi avevamo la colazione inclusa ma era veramente scarsa e di poca qualità, il caffè era a pagamento extra. Peccato perché la posizione non è male nonostante il degrado della via. Sicuramente non ci torneremo 👎

The place was quiet convenient for some place and some attraction near. Things i didn't like was i spend 8 nights in threre and linen for the bed never was change for me was disgusting, also bathroom and floor never was clean. I traveled a lot but I never See it nothing like that

My favourite was members of staff because they were very friendly, always ready to help. On the other hand our room was not cleaned every day. The bathroom was VERY small and there were not hooks to hang anything. We were always short of toilet paper. The bed was very hard. Although the area was close to amenities, we won’t come back to this hotel. Thank you.

Bad experience I had with this hotel. Room was not so clean and nobody even checked or cleaned the room during our stay. Room was so hot at all time though outside weather was cold. Food was ok but I found spoiled bread in the breakfast. I should check-out by 12pm as per policy but I just got late 3 hours so Manager ask me to pay though they didn’t inform me earlier that someone is waiting from morning 7am for this room. They charged me full amount of equal to 1 day stay. Don’t recommend to others

Hotel je uzasan, tus je pun plijesni, i sumnjam da je to dobro za zdravlje, uz prozor puse i jako je hladno u sobi, prljavo je i unisteno sve , neznam otkud hotelu 4 zvjezdice, recepcionari ne pozdravljaju, u "restoranu" nema cistih casa, nema salveta, nije bilo kave 2 dana, nasla sam dlaku u omletu, ako se toni moze nazvati restoranom , jedna sramota da ga vec nisu zatvorili iz zdravstvenih razloga jer ona plijesan stvarno nije zdrava, nebi nikome preporucila

If I could give it half a star I would. This hotel is dirty, it has a bad smell of sewage pipes and cigarettes, the breakfast is depressing. Please do not stay in this hotel because you will suffer from disappointment. The only good thing about it is the location.

Wir waren für 4 Tage in dem „Hotel“ leider wurden in diesen 4 Tagen nur die Betten ordentlich gemacht und die Mülleimer gewechselt. Die Fußböden hingegen waren jedesmal dreckig und es lagen Haare auf dem Boden. Das Personal war sehr nett und freundlich. Die Lage war auch in Ordnung

I don't recommend just cause for me was disgusting they don't have cleaning services i stay for 8 days and they didn't clean not even one time. one time i needed toilet paper and i did send my daughter out to buy cause they don't put enough. I won't go there anymore

The property is a bit dated. Linen could be improved - pilling on sheets. Breakfast was decent. Could be cleaner.

Zimmer im Keller gehabt. So etwas noch nicht erlebt. Dusche war sauber. Morgens Lärm im Hotelkeller vor dem Zimmer. Klar keine Empfehlung!

Our room was small, without a desk or chair. Excellent buffet breakfast. The street can be noisy at night when people from the neighbouring building gather and talk for hours.

Pros: - Good location to reach Sultanahmet mosque and surrounding areas - Some restaurants and souvenir shops around the corner - Gorgeous view of the Süleymaniye Mosque - Free breakfast everyday - General nice staff Cons: - Taps had boiling water coming out of them unless you left them running for 10 minutes (sometimes the cold side would be hot and hot side would be cold also) - Room was pictured bigger than it was in real life - Cleanliness was not as good as it should be - Outdated rooms and style including old bedding which is pilling - Lighting was poor in the rooms - Not very helpful when asking for restaurant recommendations (this may be down to the language barrier but it would be helpful to have some English speaking staff for a touristy hotel) - When we asked for the room to be made up they didn’t do a great job (bed sheet not fixed properly or changed etc) - Only one water fountain on the terrace through the whole hotel (not one at reception or on the floors) so this was difficult as we didn’t drink the tap water. At times we would either have to go all the way to the terrace to get fresh mineral water or just stay thirsty - TV only showed Turkish channels and no subtitles - when you know your main customers will be tourists I think this would be beneficial to look into - Not much variation with breakfast Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again. Spend a bit more and stay somewhere with more comfort, cleanliness and space!

Near to Suleymaniye Mosque, Beyazit and Sultanahmet. Room very small and cramped. A supposedly kingsize bed is not so. Narrow alley for walking and a bit hilly.

Every morning around 4.45am the muezzin woke me up as the hotel is next to Suleymaniye Mosque. Burckin Suleymaniye Hotel is at the highest position of the hill. It takes 12-13 mins to the closest metro or tram station. It is a task coming back to the hotel at evening after a whole day sightseeing.

Die Lage und das Personal war wirklich top, ABER man hört wirklich jedes Geräusch in dem Hotel. Von obendrüber, von nebenan, die Hoteltür (quitscht sehr laut) und wir haben extrem schlecht geschlafen. Außerdem war unsere Klimaanlage defekt (wir haben sie nicht mal gebraucht) und hat obwohl sie aus war die ganze Zeit (also wirklich 24/7) gegluckert, gerauscht, komische surr Geräusche gemacht. Ich würde ja sagen, „jo zum pennen reichts“ aber wie gesagt, zum pennen ist das halt eigentlich nix. Empfehlung für alle die das Hotel buchen wollen, weil es ziemlich zentral ist: Oropax! Einfaches Hotel in einer Seitenstrasse in günstiger Lage um zu Fuss erkundungen zu starten. Die Lage direkt neben der Moschee bringt natürlich das direkte Erleben des Muezin mt sich. Der Frühstücksraum im Dachgeschoss bietet tolle Ausblicke jnd das Frühstück ist durchaus ausreichend, wenn ich mit auch etwas besseren Kaffee gewünscht hätte (Nescafe). Unser Zimmer war sonweit ok, etwas in die Jahre gekommen, das Bad hatte über die Jahre alle Haken und Halter eingebüsst und der Absaugventlator hong etwas lose in der Deckenverkleidung. Die Dusche ließ sich nur mit experimentieren und abwarten benutzen, sonst wurde man verbrüht. Die Sauberkeit hatte Luft nach oben, der Zimmerservice war i. Vier Tagen auch einmal da... Die Klimaanlage haben wir nicht benutzen müssen, war wohl auch gut so, denn das Bedienfeld wies auf die überfällige Wartung hin. Es gab im Zimmer leider keine Ablage für den Koffer und nur einen winzigen Schrank in einer ehemaligen Fensternische. Somit blieben die Klamotten im Koffer auf dem Fussboden. Eine Rezeption besteht aus einem Beett mit Überwachungsmonitor im Eingangsbereich ohne personelle Besetzung. Die Eingangstür zum Hotel ist Tag und Nacht unverschlossen, die diversen Kameras werden also hoffentlich auch kontrolliert.... Wenn man also nur im Hotel schlafen will und ansonsten die Stadt erkunden will, wie in unserem Fall lässt es sich ein paar Tage aushalten. Das Personal spricht nur eingeschränkt englisch, wir konnren uns rrotrzdem halbwegs verständlich machen

Der Hotel hat mich leider in andere Hotel verfrachtet ohne meine Einverständnis. Und ich war mit der zweite Hotel total unzufrieden.

Das Personal war sehr unfreundlich, wollten nur geld kassieren. Wir haben rechtzeitig gebucht und trotzdem hat eine von uns Zimmer im Keller bekommen ohne Fenster ( nur ein kleines) dan hatt er sich beschwert und wurde ausgelacht und müsste 40 € zahlen für Zimmer die ihm eigentlich zusteht. Reinigung war einfach katastrophal. Kein Platz für Koffer und hygiene Tasche zum ablegen. Beim Frühstück war eine einzige Mitarbeiterin gut und freundlich. Schade nie wieder.

I am pleased to have found Burckin Suleymaniye after an unfortunate experience at a different hotel. All staff was professional and courteous; they went above and beyond to make sure that my stay is comfortable, and I get a much needed rest. Looking forward to coming back to Burckin Suleymaniye on my next visit to Istanbul.

The manager was very proactive in contacting me to arrange my transfer to and from the hotel in advance of my arrival in Turkey which really very helpful. I appreciated that immensely.

Staff at the Hotel were amazing especially the manager and another colleague at the reception. Always smiling and helpful. Great location too. Highly recommend it.

This Property is located one block away from Suleymaniye Camii, is surrounded by Istanbul University, near Fatith Camii, Valens Aqueduct, Grand Bazaar and many more. It is 3 blocks away from subway and tramway of the line 1 that’s the most convenient for tourists. You have Eminonu, Spicy Bazaar and everything some blocks away. It is a perfect place for those who love to walk and discover a piece of history all around. The breakfast is included and it is a nice buffet served from 8.30 to 10.30 am. I have to skip it on many occasions because I have to go earlier. The workers and all the staff are very sweet, and helpful anytime you need it.

Excelent position near Suleymanie Chamii and about 10 minuts walk to Misir Charsi. Easy come to property via public transport. A lot of option for dinner near property.

Das Hotel befindet sich in einer engen Straße wo wenig Verkehr ist.,deshalb auch sehr ruhig ist. Vorteil es befindet sich sehr nah zum Eminönü. Wenn man den berg runter.gelaufen ist kann als mit den öffentlichen Mitteln sowie der Fähren/Schiffe erreicht werden. Ayasofia und die Blaue Moschee sind zu Fuss zu erreichen, ca 20 min. Allerdings ist der Rückweg anstrengend, weil es steil bergauf geht. Da der Weg zum Hotel auch durch die oberen Straßen von Eminönü führt , sind Abends ab 19.00 Uhr wenig Geschäfte offen und die Straßen sind sehr leer. Von der Frühstücksterasse ist die Aussicht wunderschön. Teils sieht mann den Bosporus, und die Süleymaniye Camii, Das Frühstück hatte nichts außergewöhnliches aber vollkommend ausreichend. Sauberkeit war gut. Natürlich sehen einige Sachen gebraucht aus, aber es reicht aus für den Gebrauch. Vorallem weil wir am Abend nicht vor 21 Uhr zurück waren und morgens schon kurz vor 9 raus gingen. Istanbul lohnt sich definitiv, am meisten wenn vom Hotel aus alles gut erreichbar ist. Wir würden das Hotel weiterempfehlen.

Great location and stay for price, only downside is you are directly near a praying mosque and they will be blasting the prayer through the speaker pretty much every hour from 5am til 10pm. Not bad if you are a heavy sleeper I suppose.

This hotel was perfect for a weeks stay exploring the wonderful city of Istanbul. It’s not the most flashy, and the room was quite small, but fit in with our budget, the staff were very friendly and they did a good breakfast. Very close to a Metro but also walking distance to all the main attractions. I would definitely stay here again if I was visiting Istanbul! Only thing I would say is that the room was very warm during the night and we couldn’t get the aircon to work - but not a mega issue!

Das kleine Stadthotel Buckin Süleymaniye liegt phantastisch zentral im St) adtteil Sultanameth, direkt neben der Süleymaniye Moschee. Es sind viele Sehenswürdigkeiten gut fußläufig zu erreichen. Wir sind oft am Abend noch bis an die Galata Brücke und Neue Moschee gelaufen. Auch Metro und Straßenbahn sind gut erreichbar. (Station Vezneciler) Vom Frühstücksraum hat man einen wunderbaren Blick auf die Süleymaniye Moschee. Wir hatten eines der kleineren Standardzimmer, es war für 2 Personen völlig ausreichend. Im Zimmer stehen ein Wasserkocher mit Tee und Kaffee, sowie ein Tresor zur Verfügung. Der Pflege- und Reinigungszustand der Zimmer ist nicht mit mitteleuropäischen Standards zur vergleichen. Man ist hier eher etwas „oberflächlich“. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut und umfangreich und wurde fortlaufend aufgefüllt. Auch wenn das Angebot täglich gleich ist, ist die Auswahl so umfangreich, dass man selbst jeden Tag gut variieren kann. Das Personal war jederzeit freundlich und aufmerksam. Der Frühstücksraum ist ganztägig als Aufenthaltraum geöffnet und es steht kostenfrei Kaffee, Tee und Wasser zur Verfügung. Am Abend findet man in der direkten Umgebung viele Restaurants mit Dachterrasse und guter Speisenauswahl.

Tolles, reichhaltiges Frühstück mit schöner Aussicht. Badezimmer war etwas „abgelebt“ Sehr hartes Bett - wir hatten ein kleines Zimmer gebucht. Schön gelegen,12 min zur Metro, Bus oder zum Basar.

We vonden het hotel niet uitzien zoals op de site. Heel erg onverzorgd, kamer klein, badkamer is verouderd. Ontbijt is totaal niet zoals verwacht, erg summier en onverzorgd.

Wi-Fi ruim, não pegava direito no quarto. Café da manhã não era reposto e tinha que chegar cedo se quisesse comer algo a mais. Pouca opção de frutas e pão.

Its a nice area and we had the best view over the moske. The night portier is amazing and very helpful. The place is perfekt for exploring the city. The breakfast is not much to Write about, its really a sad experience, and with staff that dont know how to smile or just even prentend that they want to be there. The rooms are not very Sound proof, you Can hear the downstairs, the breakfast restaurant upstairs and all people on the hall Way. Im sure it was a nice hotel when it was build, but they have not done anything to keep it that Way, toilet seat is looks and the top lid fallen of. And the maid, just place it back every day even if it does not work. The door step os falling apart into the room and the refrigiator is Old and very noicy all day and night, so its hard to sleep. So im not impressed.
