Stayed one night at this hotel for a concert at the Excel energy center. We had a really nice stay. The staff were friendly and helpful and the shuttle to the concert venue was great. We would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely stay here! From front to back, Marriott Bonvoy Downtown St. Paul was an amazing stay. Great breakfast, clean and updated gym facility, staff with wonderful service, and beautiful accommodations. I have 2 kids and the indoor pool was perfect on a rainy day. I felt safe, taken care of, and so comfortable!

We stayed for two night and a group of friends initially stayed for one night but they decided to stay another night the next morning, the staff that we interacted with were really fun and great help when we had issues. When we got to our room our tv was super blue, like hurt your eyes blue. I called down to the front desk and the woman said that someone will come up to help. Once the guy came up he walked in and immediately said “WOW that tv is blue” and went out the room almost immediately to get us a whole new tv. Once he came back up he set it up nice and swiftly and was ready to go, we talked for another 20 mins about random stuff and he was super chill, he also called down to the shuttle that goes by to have them wait for my group cause they needed to run on an errand. Additionally from what I heard the shuttle ride was super nice and the driver was really good to talk to as well. And finally the room itself was great, at first I was unsure if the room would be worth what I paid, usually casino hotels are about the same as what I paid for just a basic room. But these are like fancy little studio apartments. Honestly wouldn’t be mad to live there. 10/10 stars on all fronts. Definitely the best hotel I’ve stayed in at this price.

The best place to attend Summer classes is Mitchell Hamline Law School. The rooms are huge and clean. The workout area is clean, and the breakfast is solid. The shuttle negates the need to rent a car.

We have stayed at this hotel every time we come to St Paul and do so because we like the rooms, service, amenities and the beds. However, this time we were booked into Room 223. The bed was so bad that both my husband and I woke up with backaches. The front desk was great and moved us into an adjacent room, where the bed was the very comfortable one we were accustomed to.

I was absolutely blown away by the beautiful room. It was spacious and comfortable. The television was set up so that you could watch it in bed, or turn it around and watch it from the bar in the kitchen, oreven further and watch it from the couch.

Our stay at the Residence Inn was great. Everyone who worked there was professional and friendly. My only complaint, and it is a small one, is that the fan for our AC ran continuously. It was extremely hot while we were in St. Paul, so perhaps this is why. But it was frustrating because the fan was noisy. But truly we had a lovely room and a lovely stay.

Very clean facility . Location was excellent for going to Xcel Energy Center. Walking distance with multiple pubs/restaurants on way. Breakfast included scrambled eggs, sausage, yogurt, cereal, bananas and English muffins. Expensive parking. . If need to recommend anything it would Be to get new pillows (Very flat) and to decrease parking fee.

I would never stay at this property again. Night staff very rude and short. Booked a handicap room night clerk assured me it was ADA it was not. Assured we would get picked up by shuttle after the concert. Left concert early shuttle never arrived. Very upsetting.

I booked and paid for a four night stay but wasn't able to make it for the first night due to bad weather. I emailed Marriott to inform them of my situation. The hotel cancelled my entire reservation and would not refund any money. I then had to rebook at a higher rate, because I needed somewhere to sleep. I can't think of a better example of "Screw the customer" and "Corporate Greed"

Pros: Room was very spacious, clean, comfortable, and quiet. Breakfast was well stocked and breakfast area very clean. Free laundry machines! Cons: I would have given 5 stars if not for the front desk staff who were not very friendly on either the day or night shifts. They seem easily distracted with their own conversations. I had to ask about basic things: breakfast time, shuttle, parking. No explanation on anything upon arrival. A note that parking can be different in front of the hotel. Valet parking is the only option.

Everything was fine. Google Maps (GPS) had a hard time getting us to the proper entrance of the building... the shape and location of signage are difficult to see - must park at Valet parking and that side of the building is virtually unmarked.... until you finally find it you don't know how to get in!

This property was conveniently located but with convenience to everything comes a parking issue. Plan to valet park your car every time you come and go or plan to park blocks away because it’s a challenge to find a spot. The staff and cleanliness of the hotel are 5 star. The free breakfast is a 2.5 star. There are very limited options and basically the same food is served each day (we had a multi-day stay). The staff serving and preparing the breakfast was very sweet!

The staff were all kind and helpful. Our room was clean and wonderful. The bed was mostly comfortable (I am a high maintenance sleeper.) We had a great time staying for four nights. The breakfast was a little lacking though, so we went next door to the cafe for breakfast.
