This is my third time staying at the hotel. The location — in historic Sultanahmet — is unbeatable. It is close to several historic sites as well as excellent Turkish restaurants and shopping places, with wonderful street food. The hotel has its own spa that has excellent a Turkish hamam. The staff is friendly, professional and efficient. Mr. Yunus at the front desk is wonderful. He messaged me before my trip to ask if I needed transport from the airport and arranged it promptly. The rooms are very clean and the complimentary buffet breakfast is excellent. I most highly recommend the hotel and will be staying there on my next visit.

Très bon hotel avec un emplacement idéal pour visiter les grandes mosquées Ayasofia et Sultanahmet. Proche du grand bazar et de Eminönü pour faire le tour du Bosphore en bateau. A 10min à pieds de tous ces derniers. Le seul bémol, c’est que l’hôtel n’a pas de parking privatif. On nous renvoi vers le parking payant qui se trouve de l’autre côté de la route, en face de l’hôtel à 30m. Coût du parking, 20€ par jour. Cependant le parking est facile d’accès, et il est bien.

Ottima posizione a pochi passi dalle principali attrazioni turistiche e dal Grand Bazar. A pochi metri c’è la fermata del tram T1 con il quale è possibile raggiungere la parte nuova della città. Hotel pulito, il personale molto cordiale, siamo stati accolti da Ersin che ci ha fornito molte indicazioni sulla città e sui tour disponibili. Abbondante colazione, disponibile fino alle 10:30.

Minpunten: zaken in de douche kunnen een opfrisbeurt krijgen, bijv. vervang verroest zeepbakje. Gebarsten raam boven balkon deur, geeft smoezelige indruk. Room was very small. Bathroom very small and had no fan outlet with a moldy smell. Very noisy outside at night we could not sleep. TV English News Channels did not work despite multiple complaints. Breakfast buffet was simple with not even croissants. Transportation offered by hotel was late at arrival, vans were old and smelly, driver drove very fast dangerously

I was given a connecting room and I could hear the occupants next door to me.every conversation was heard through the walls not sound proof. I asked on three separate occasions if my room could be changed.additionally the occupants were arguing and talking at a late hour till 2am. I did not get a single nights good sleep The request for a room change was declined despite the website showing rooms were available. I was given a room directly opposite the lift as well. Not a good position in the entire hotel.

Golden Royal was amazing! Great breakfast, comfy beds and pillows. Staff were super friendly. Just one piece of advice, do not get a room on the top floor in the middle of summer. The ac struggled to keep the room cool. Other than that we had no complaints at all.

This is the 2nd time we visited Istanbul and the 2nd time we stay in this hotel. Love it. Very friendly staff, love the location, and good amenities. The breakfast quality is less than before Covid, but it’s still a good breakfast. The rooms are on the smaller side compared to USA rooms, but clean and nice I recommend if you want close to the old city, Fatih, sultan Ahmet, grand bazar … all waking distance.

I had a wonderful stay at the Golden Royal Hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming and professional, especially Abdul Rehman, who truly made a difference in our experience. He was always ready to help and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. I was a bit concerned at first due to the language barrier, but Abdul Rehman made us feel completely at ease. He suggested both group and guided tours, which turned out to be unforgettable highlights of our trip. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with great attention to detail. While the room was smaller than expected and had no window. The overall guest experience more than made up for it. Thanks to the exceptional service, especially from Abdul Rehman, our stay was truly memorable. I would highly recommend this hotel for its hospitality and care for guests.

We stayed at this hotel twice within a two-week period. On the first occasion, we stayed for four days, and on the second, we stayed for two days. Unfortunately, both times, the Air conditioner was not functioning, and the reception attempted to charge us $10 for a room key that we had inadvertently lost. While the hotel’s location is pleasant, it falls short of meeting our expectations as a satisfactory hotel.

The staff were incredibly rude and not welcoming at all. The staff just tried to scam the tourists. Things were stolen from our rooms. Someone had gone through all of our bags and placed things back in a different bags than they were originally in. When this was raised with the staff they were incredibly rude and dismissive about it. Absolutely do not recommend this hotel to any one.

The perfect place when visiting Istanbul. Close to Grand Bazaar and Blue Mosque. The staff are amazing. Special thank you to Abdurrahman who assisted in so many ways, from providing breakfast items at midnight for my two kids, to requesting a neighboring restaurant to stay open a bit later for us to eat! Above and beyond is really appreciated when kids are involved. The hospitality is unmatched ! Thank you for an amazing time!

The unique was that when you arrive and want to check in staff said that my room is under construction and offered to check in in a different less expensive hotel a few minutes from this one. After I said, I won't do anywhere, I was given a room in this hotel. They were offering to check in to a different hotel to other people while I was waiting when they will give me a room in this hotel. After long international flight and booking a room two months in advance, it was very unique to find out at check in that I need to go to a different hotel and my room in this hotel is under construction. Expedia should do something about it.

Hotellet ligger veldig sentralt og er nær alle historiske stedene. Rett ved siden av Şerefiye Sarnıcı, og 1 minutt unna trikk. Rommet var ganske bra med minibar og fin bad og toalett. De ansatte var kjempe hyggelige og hjelpsomme. Når som helst på dagen er de alltid klare for å hjelpe til med alt. Skal definitivt dra dit igjen. Anbefales på sterkeste!

Our stay was pleasant, which was due in large part to staff member Abderrahmane. He was very welcoming and made us feel at home. He was also very knowledgeable, and gave excellent recommendations. One note we have is to improve the hotel breakfast coffee, which currently appears to be instant coffee.
