Tay Motel

The room was very clean, parking right outside the door. Dana and her husband are amazing!!! Very friendly and helpful, they keep the place in tip top shape.

The room was very clean.There was a nice fridge/freezer combo. Could have used more shampoo and soap. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable.

The positives: Clean bed, linens and overall general upkeep was good. The negatives: Some standard items that I would have expected were missing. There was no full length mirror in the room to double check your outfit before heading out. I also didn't an ironing board or iron but this might be available at the front desk, I didn't ask as I didn't need it. There was no coffee maker or kettle in the room. 2 bottles of water were provided and a mini fridge. The staff mentioned there was a Tims up the road, but I usually make my own coffee, even bringing my own press, but I still need a kettle. Safety: The entry door features a single lock with just a twist knob between you and anyone driving by the highway. No secondary deadbolt or sliding bolt was installed on the main door. As a single female this made me a bit nervous. All in all it wasn't terrible, as a clean bed is my biggest requirement and they fulfilled that, but I wouldn't stay again unless the safety concern was addressed.

I love this spot and have stayed here twice now. Super friendly owners and easy location right off the 400. The room has everything I need, and I have always had a good sleep. Recommended!
