Hampton Inn Norwich

The hotel itself could be a decent place to stay. The only king bed room left for the night we needed driving through town was a handicap accessible. It was very large and upon first walking in seemed clean enough. Though, when walking across carpet we both kept shoes on as it needed a deep clean. It was kind of gross feeling. The bathroom was decently clean. The really gross unacceptable issue we had was the bed. When we walked in the corner of the sheets were not pulled down all the way and you could see mattress. I decided to look as most modern chain hotels we've stayed at recently have the waterproof coverings over the mattresses. This one did not and the mattress was exposed with just 2 fitted sheets on it. The mattress was covered in urine stains and was stained around corner. We t down and asked to be moved but " no other kings were available. " We decided to just ask for a couple extra fitted sheets and covered it up well. Firstly, this should've been where they should've called housekeeping or a hotel employee could've offered to do this for the guest when were paying a heck of a lot for a one night stay (250- 300 $ depending on rm) staffmember did come up and look at bed and said oh ew gross and took photos. She said someone would speak with us tomorrow morning at check out. We'll we did mention when asked how our stay was, "manager" didnt care, didnt offer any sort of compensation or even the smallest thing to make up for it. For this price nightly unacceptable.

Wonderful facility. Very clean and best of all not far from Mohegan Sun.
