The Spa at Norwich Inn

Honestly this place reminded me of a senior living center, smell and all. The pool is only 4ft no shallow water, and has this metal pipe going along both sides, felt slimy coming out of it. The jacuzzi is apparently in the locker rooms, I didn’t go as I was hoping to do a couple jacuzzi , nope. The beds were SOOOOO uncomfortable , tossed and turned all night long. No fridge, no microwave in room… walls are super thin. Checkout was a nightmare, when I asked the guy if he was checkout he told me “not yet” … what?! Then proceeded to charge my card 3 times (thankfully it declined) I had already paid! And when trying to tell him this he didn’t listen. Worst stay I’ve had in awhile & very overpriced for this stay. Also If your allergic to bees like me, bring your epi!!!!

I would give it an score of an 8. I choose this property and it's amenities as I was seeking rest & relaxation. It definitely provided that! There was a snafu in the room when I arrived.The TV wasn't working. I called the front desk and they sent somone within 5 minutes. After trying for a bit with no sucess they called the engineer. He couldn't get the TV to connect to the cable, so he got a TV from an empty room turned It on and problem solved. Had a working TV in about 20 minutes. The Spa offerings were great and most of the staff were welcoming, friendly, and had some helpful suggestions of things to do. I had a scalp massage from Ty and manicure and pedicure from Lex upon my arrival. They did a great job helping me to start relaxing and feel comfortable. I took the day on Sat.to explore the surrounding towns. On Sun. I had a morning massage and a enjoyable lunch on the terrace. Service was exceptional! After lunch, I went into the small indoor pool. It needs some wor. I relaxed outside to dry off in the sunny area. Pool is better suited for exercising and floating as it was only 4ft deep and not very wide. Late afternoon I recieved hydrating mask facial from Shelly. It and she was amazing! For dinner I chose to eat at the Kensington inside the hotel. Service was great! Had the scollop dish which was cooked well, but tasted salty and not sweet like I am used to sea scollops tasting. I did walk the grounds, but things were looking tired and messy. I would return.

Had awesome weekend at the Inn. Property is beautiful, staff welcoming, rooms clean and updated. Spa amenities pricey but enjoyable. Only downfall is pool and spa areas need some updating… old tile and grout doesn’t pair up with the rest of the experience but would definitely recommend as something everyone can enjoy at least once if not more! And so close to the casino for some added fun with a car service back and forth! This place has all you need in one place. Thanks for a great weekend 😊

Beautiful property and room! I can with my boyfriend and I didn’t know we couldn’t use the spa services together. Men and women are separated for the hot tub/spa. If I had known beforehand I would have gone someplace else

I've been to the spa many times. I have suggested some things that have come true, and I'm so glad about that. For instance the mini fridges in the room and the coffee machines are very welcome additions. Sometimes people have medications that need to be refrigerated. A couple of things could be improved. Please fix the fireplace in ascot pub. It's kind of ridiculous that I haven't been there in many months and the fireplace is still broken. I heard that it was an expensive fix but at the very least put a gas insert in there to make it not look so dark and cold. Also, in the bathroom of my room 06, the close-up mirror is absolutely unusablebecause it's placed too far away from a person's face when they are trying to look close up. It's absolutely unusable. Those should be closer so that you can actually draw it forward and see yourself in the close-up side. There was a recumbent bike in the gym that was broken and that's the kind of bike I like to use so it was disappointed about that. Hopefully that will be fixed by the next time. They used to be small towels in the gym and maybe you were out but there were no towels there at all. Also in the gym the cleaning wipes were depleted in the paper towel dispenser and there weren't any wipes coming out of the dispenser on the wall near the weights. The gym could be slightly cooler, too.

Loved it! Reserved this hotel because of its close proximity to and lower price point than Mohegan Sun, but it turned out to be a great place in its own right! Lovely hottub, sauna, steam room, indoor pool etc all included in the price. Excellent restaurant ( Kensingron’s). Didn’t try the Irish pub but everything and everyone was excellent. Also loved the Juice Bar. I didn’t reserve any spa treatments in advance and then they were all booked day-of so if/ when I stay again, will definitely reserve some in advance now that I know how nice this place is.

Excellent place! Lovely room, spa and restaurants. Had 2 very good meals here. Very convenient to Mohegan Sun- free shuttle that was convenient and reliable.

The staff were great. The inn is very clean and well cared for. We like staying here to use the gym facilities, the proximity to the casinos and the dining options.

The cleanliness of the room was definitely a perk. The food and drinks were delicious. Overall peaceful resort. Staff were friendly and informative. There was one little hiccup but it got sorted out. I appreciate the follow up from management. We look forward to returning in the future!

My husband and I stayed the night here for labor day weekend primarily for the massage. The room and bathroom inside were very clean, toiletries smelled amazing. Front desk staff were very friendly and we were always greeted upon entering and leaving the premise. The spa pool was clean, the showers has some pink mold in the grout and lining the shower curtain, otherwise clean facility. My husband and I have had better massages at other places, but the attendant was very kind. Did not eat at the restaurants so I cannot rate those. I probably wouldn't return only because the massage was just average for us and we traveled about 2.5 hours distance.

Beautiful landscaping. Great staff. Lobby smells like a nursing home. Needed a step stool to climb into the bed that was too high off the ground for a 5'2" person.

Enjoyed my stay. The spa is great. The pool was clean. A very relaxed atmosphere.

Been going here for 30 years. Some upgrade done but spa facility bath area need upgrade and better cleanliness. Staff turned down the sauna in anticipation of going g home when spa was not closing for an hour. The front desk staff is excellent (Cam). The restaurant staff is very nice but the menu has changed considerably

THe outside was very unkempt. The grounds were covered with leaves, no gardening done at all. It was depressing looking. The pub was terrible. Our food came out burnt to a crisp!

External property is quite beautiful and in a wooded setting. The room we stayed in (in main building) needs an update from a decor perspective. The room and bathroom were very clean but window treatments, wall decor, wallpaper, rug, bathroom are quite outdated. The bedding was very nice and the bed itself was very comfortable.

The check in staff was so friendly and welcoming, and even checked me in early. The newly renovated rooms are beautiful.

The rooms are very dated. Some wallpaper pealing. Shower was old and poorly set up. Shower head was on the short side of tub.

The Noriwch Inn & Spa is such a special place. The Spa amenities are abundant, relaxing, clean and all around perfect. We stayed in the Inn in a newly renovated room...they are in the process of upgrading all the rooms. We were warned there could be a little noise disruption during the day but it was minimal. The only blip during our 3 night stay was our room was so incredibly warm. We lowered the heat and actually put on the AC & the room was still a bit uncomfortable for sleeping.

The staff at this Inn are the KINDEST, most customer-service oriented staff I’ve experienced in a long time. Thank you all for being the epitome of excellence and making my daughter and I feel so welcome during our stay!

Waiting for service seems to be an issue. For breakfast the waitress never came back to take our order, I had to ask another person if someone could do it, and then a whole different person came out a while later. Checking out was another area where you can wait a very long time to get to the receptionist. Even the people behind me in line were talking about how long it takes to check in/ checkout.

DO NOT go here expecting to use “the hot tub “ (as stated on their website there was only one). My husband and I had been having a rough time so we decided to go for a treat. We usually stay at less expensive places but were looking forward to a nice place where we could relax and sit in the hot tub and then do some 5 cent slots. When we got there, the hotel told us that there are only separate women’s and men’s hot tubs in the locker rooms. So I told them that that wasn’t what was on the site and asked for a refund. They told me to call Expedia so I did. When Expedia called them to get permission to do the refund, the hotel wouldn’t do it. They just kept telling me that we could use the pool. Then they told me that the manager wasn’t there and would be in the following morning (Monday) and to have Expedia call then. When they called the next day, they were told that the managers were only there on the weekends. Cleary they have no intention of issuing the refund and are playing games with Expedia.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Laid bad atmosphere we will be back

Check in (Ms. Trainor) is a gem. She explained the property and was friendly and professional. Dining in the restaurants was perfect. The spa is a welcome retreat to unwind mentally, clean, relaxing, etc. Not easy for me to do

We were a group of 4 and everyone had the same experience. It was fabulous. The staff and I mean every person working there was pleasant attentive courteous and accommodating. We had breakfast lunch and dinner every meal was delicious fresh and a great selection. The spa was wonderful so many options. It was a great overnight stay. We will definitely be back.

The property is off the main street. It is quiet and the staff are very friendly.

A great hotel situated close to popular tourist spots. It was an excellent getaway location, with great facilities and atmosphere. We were relaxed our whole stay and are greatly appreciative of the comfort of our room and the kindness of the Staff.

Convenient to Mohegan Sun, where we had tickets for events on consecutive nights. I was not previously a spa person. But after exploring the premises furing our stay, I would like to return, next time taking more advantage of the offerings there.

We had an amazing stay for a romantic weekend. We did have to lay $42 for 2 cocktails so that was a bit ridiculous but besides that everything was perfect

AMAZING! Beautiful hotel and grounds. Room was comfortable and clean. Food was excellent, with a very accommodating kitchen. They actually augmented the gravy recipe to remove things that would affect my blood sugar, as I am a diabetic. I did not want to leave.

The room and spa are great. Our dining experience at Kensington was poor. Short Ribs were not good and were covered with a gelatinous sauce, the tuna was very overcooked. We weren’t offered a pre dinner drink, we had to order this at same time as she we ordered dinner. Appetizers were mundane at best.

Spa is great, as is service! The rooms are very well appointed and immaculate. The only downside was the dinner we had at Kensington, which was overpriced and not good. But breakfast there this morning was very good!
