This hotel shows it has a hot tub. Instead it’s utilized as a giant flower pot! Would have never stayed here if we knew this! Hard to believe Marriott puts their name on this.

Kind staff and easy check-in. Clean room and had A/C that worked very well especially during this heat. Was a little disappointed of the lack of communication about the construction, as I went out of my way to find a hotel with a pool and we couldn’t use it after a long drive. We were put on the second floor above where construction was taken place. When we checked in we were not told this and there was no sign of it at that time. We found out by being woken up to pounding below us. We declined housekeeping during our stay. We left the garbage can outside our day. When we returned, we found that our room had been made up. This put us on edge since we declined the service and had the do not disturb sign on our door. I made all of this aware at check out and it was not acknowledged.

Our trip was nice. Staff was nice however only reason we shops hotel was for the hot tub. We arrived no hot tub sooo very disappointed it was advertised and not there when arrived.

Was currently going through construction during our stay so there was a lot of banging and things taped off. The hotel was comfortable. The pool was small but nice. The gym though literally only has 3 treadmills, a rack of dumbbells, and a half deflated yoga ball. The room could have accommodated a lot more equipment so I hope that changes with the renovations.

This hotel had a power outage due to thunderstorms. The power was not restored until at least midnight.. The staff are wonderful and did the best they could under the circumstances. September 2024 and had a much better experience

We were greeted warmly by the hotel staff. The complementary cookies were great. The 10% discount at the restaurant on site was a nice touch. The room was clean and comfortable. However the icemaker needs to be cleaned on the third floor there was mold on the ice. And my sister said her side of the bed in room 316 there was something poking her.

We booked the Courtyard Marriott in Norwich, CT expecting a reliable, quality experience, but what we encountered was anything but. The room was dirty upon arrival — my wife had to pick peanuts off the floor, there was trash in the corner, and a stain on the ottoman. The hotel had no power when we arrived, and the staff repeatedly lied, saying it had “just gone out,” when it had clearly been out for hours. There were no updates or apologies. I have a medical condition that requires a C-PAP machine, and I couldn’t use it due to the outage, making the stay not just uncomfortable, but a health risk. The front desk staff was rude and dismissive throughout. In the morning, I asked about coffee and was told “we offer breakfast, but it’s not free” — not what I asked. When trying to buy bottled water, the staff questioned me suspiciously and demanded cash, forgetting we hadn’t even been checked in properly due to the outage. There was no hot coffee, no juice, and zero effort to accommodate guests. On our second night, we had to call the front desk three times to complain about loud guests at midnight. The same staff member shrugged it off. I had to walk him to the room myself. The toilet in our room clogged from normal use (not misuse), and instead of helping, the front desk told us to go find a plunger they left outside another guest’s room on another floor. Came to town for Tom Segura this weekend who was preforming at the casino and was disappointed in the cleanliness of the hotel. Thankfully the sheets were clean but everything from the flooring to the upholstered furniture in our room looked and smelled musty. We were not comfortable removing our shoes in our room. The pictures of the hotel do not accurate depict how dated this courtyard Marriot is. For $300 a night, you’re better off at a much cheaper motel for the same quality of experience. Having stayed at many Marriott’s in the past, this was by far the worst experience. However with that said, the staff was lovely.

Expensive stay for a subpar experience. Stayed 5 nights, had to beg for housekeeping to come on day 4 because they didn’t come at all before this. Shower/shampoo/conditioners were empty. Beds very uncomfortable. Pillows were pancakes. Air conditioning seemed to be on a timer, only works during the day and then you’re sweating all night. Not enough room storage. Had to pay for breakfast and coffee. At this price the hotel should be providing hot coffee and continental breakfast like all other hotels. I won’t be back to this property.

All the employees are super friendly and helpful. The room was nice and clean. The only thing I could complain about is the hallway noise sounds as if they’re in your room. I would definitely stay again.

The room was very clean and I got a suite so it was very roomy with a great balcony. The tv in the bedroom didn’t work and it took two calls to the front desk to get it fixed, the guy who fixed it was very polite and did so quickly. It looked like the rooms at the other end of hall were updated but we didn’t get one of those. My guess is Hotels.com buys up the older rooms for a cheaper rate. No breakfast or extras coffee included. There’s a Starbucks in the lobby.

What I wasn't happy about was that the hotel lost power and I had to leave the hotel on my last night there. I know it wasn't your fault but it was very inconvenient. I also think you need to upgrade your internet in the hotel. There were 3 times when it took me 20 minutes or longer just to get online and then I would lose the connection before I was done typing a communication to a business associate. It was the worst experience I've had getting online in 20 years. It reminded me of a hotel in Mexico when everyone was on a dial up connection. It was that bad.

My husband and I stay hear once or twice a year and we always come back because of how well kept the facility is. The rooms are very modern looking and set up well, with enough places to unpack all of our clothing. The staff is always great as well!

The hotel is conveniently located near the highway making it easy to get to and helpful when traveling in the area. The check in was fast and the staff were friendly and greeted you each time we entered the facility. The room was a pleasant surprise it was spacious and clean including the bathroom. The only negative was the bed was very firm and could use more supportive pillows made it tough to get a good night sleep without experience discomfort. Highly recommend the property if you are in the area and looking for an affordable place to stay.

The Hotel was very nice, very well run, clean with an outstanding staff that went out of their way to accommodate us. HOWEVER, the Hotel is located in a run down, 4th rate commercial zone surrounded by "quicky mart's" sans a friendly "AUP" (as per the Simpson's) level staffs - the little "third rate deli" staff 100 yds from the Hotel were surely idiots who when we asked for service to buy a morning bagel replied "we don't do that here". So we left our coffees on the counter and replied "we don't buy stuff here, then" and walked out. Of course we were totally aware that the two clerks at the deli were not sophisticated (intelligent enough??? most likely. But let's be PC and not judgmental regarding their customer service skills) enough to provide a coherent response to a request they as individuals were not programmed to do. So if Marriott just moved that Hotel to a place other than where it currently is ........ but then again, maybe Marriott should talk to the City of Norwich Government re slum control in the area around the Hotel?????

The location of this Courtyard was great for us as it was close to the things that were important to us. The staff was friendly. We did not eat at the restaurant as the breakfast prices seemed very high to me, but not a problem as a Dunkin Donuts was close by. The only issue I had was my room was facing the highway and the noise from the highway was pretty loud one of the nights. A family member was on the other side of the hall and you could not hear a thing. I would stay there again and just ask for a room not facing the highway. Plenty of restaurants nearby.

We have stayed at Courtyard by Marriott in VA, which was very nice. The reason we chose this property was for convenience of having a restauarant and food available, especially breakfast. After a long drive to Norwich CT, half of the choices on the menu were n/a. Breakfast consisted of nothing more than muffins and bagels and oatmeal. Also we had to change our first room as there was a very musty odor, which was still evident in the second room but not as prominent. All of the staff were very pleasant. We would not choose this hotel again.

I thought the staff was great, the room was nice, nice shower, the location was fairly quiet with only a little traffic noise, I slept with my window open with no problem (my room was on the parking lot side. BUT when a hotel advertises itself as providing a hot breakfast, restaurant style, they should provide it, no excuses. I switched reservations to this hotel because of the breakfast. There was no hot breakfast because the cook was out. Not happy about this.

The hotel was fine. In town for a basketball tournament and there were kids running in the halls late at night, which was really annoying but not the hotel’s fault. There was no complimentary coffee or tea in the lobby, but they gave me hot water so I could have tea (I brought my own tea bags.) Also no recycling in the lobby (I asked) which was ridiculous, which means they probably aren’t recycling in the rooms either, even though they have separate bins. But it was a clean, spacious room, so we can’t really complain.

Staff were nice. Room was clean, bed was comfortable and very clean which we appreciated very much. The water pressure in the shower was excellent. The only thing we didn't like was the breakfast. We added breakfast when we booked and I think food wasn't worthy for what we paid for. I do not recommend breakfast at the facility.

Very pleasant stay. Quiet, clean, and comfortable. Conveniently right off the highway. We went to a concert at Mohegan Sun and it was only a 10 minute drive. Breakfast at the Bistro was great.

Room, mostly, all aspects, great. Important to myself, water pressure/shower, beyond wonderful! Two negatives…counter/vanity area around sink waaay too small and the breakfast counter, where one orders items and is served at table…ALWAYS a line and this appears due to the fact that only ONE person works the area, female, has an assistant but, clearly, this assistant only serves food, might be employed in kitchen making food but not in the front taking orders.
