This hotel has a unique layout with two different hotels being arranged in the same building (aloft and Element), with two different hotel lobbies; each on separate floors. I stayed at the Element and generally enjoyed my stay with a clean, comfortable, well maintained space in a hotel that is as conveniently located in downtown Austin as you can get. The drawbacks are the bit of traffic cluster that the two hotel in one model creates, the fact that the elevators were very slow despite there being 5 different bays, and the guest services attendants being incredibly slow when checking individuals in which created bottle-knecking. Overall a very positive stay however and I would stay again if visiting Austin
