Microtel Inn and Suites by Wyndham Kitimat

What guests think

Travellers describe Microtel Inn and Suites by Wyndham Kitimat as a clean, modern, and generally quiet hotel with very friendly, helpful staff, comfortable beds, and a convenient location for driving to town amenities, industrial sites, and local fishing spots.

Breakfast is complimentary but repeatedly noted to end early (around 8 a.m.) and can feel limited or aimed at workers, leading some leisure guests to miss out. There are occasional reports of room assignment errors, housekeeping gaps, and difficult check-ins. Some found it out of the way to walk after dark and noted potholes on the access road. Overall, expect a practical base that suits early risers and drivers.

The hotel is in a good location - easy to find and close to stores and restaurants. Its exterior is well maintained and there is free parking. Right inside the main entrance is the check-in area. Nearby is the room where the hotel provides an early morning breakfast from 5 am to 8 am. Right beside the breakfast nook is a room with tables and chairs where you can eat and/or visit. In the lobby, there ia a large water dispenser with cut up oranges in it. The water is cold and delicious. 24 hour coffee and tea can be found in the breakfast area. The room was clean and well stocked. The beds were very comfortable. The staff was friendly, helpful and efficient. I highly recommend Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Kitimat.

I was not happy with the breakfast hours, which were from 5:00 AM to 8:00 AM — I feel that’s too early. Also, starting from 7:00 AM, there was a lot of noise right outside my door from the cleaning staff, which woke me up and was quite unpleasant. Overall, the staff didn’t seem very friendly during my stay.
