Harbourview Inn, SureStay Collection by Best Western

This hotel is clean and suitable for our stay. We rented the suite which was spacious for the 4 of us. The restaurant had good food for dinner.

Restaurant was excellent. Breakfast was ok. Lobby and hallway smelled bad. Room wasn’t finished, floor was not complete it stopped at the sides of the bed. Bed was worst I’ve had in any hotel. Mattress was completely shot.

Disappointing. When we arrived we were told that they were still cleaning the room and check in was 4:00. when we came back at 4:30 they were repairing the lock on the door. Don't know why it wasn't working especially given that we were told that the owner of the hotel had apparently stayed in that room the night before. Toilet roll was broken of the wall. We were told don't worry about it we will get to it. no remote for the tv. Cleaning staff found one for us from another room. She was the only friendly staff member in the building. No coffee maker even though there is a coffee maker in the photo of the room. Initially we were told it had been stolen. Then we were told none of the rooms had coffee makers. No coffee anywhere except in the restaurant which had to be paid for outside of breakfast hours. We booked for three people and only two towels in the room. All the above information was given to us by the same person at the front desk and she couldn't seem to keep a single story straight. didn't seem too interested in accountability or a willingness to help. We had to ask twice for the breakfast coupons each day. These are all minor things but the real issue was the unwillingness to provide any solutions or assistance.

The building is run down and in desperate need of an update. The smell is indicative of the desperate need for an overhaul. Parking was easy, the complimentary breakfast was scanty at best, the bed was broken and dropped in the middle. It's sad as the view in the back is quite lovely. We wouldn't chose to stay here again.

The room was in the basement and had a horrible noise. There were holes in the ceiling. Very poor room compared to the pictures the website showed. The breakfast provided was horrific. No plates or cutlery. Had to wait for staff to bring even though knocked on door but no one answered. Only positive thing to say was the front desk receptionist was extremely understanding when we requested to cut our visit short and arranged a refund right away.
