Encore Suites by Service Plus Inns

What guests think

Across many reviews, Encore Suites by Service Plus Inns stands out for very clean, spacious rooms with kitchenettes, friendly service, and a convenient location near shopping, the casino, and the hospital, offering reliable value for short or longer stays.

Breakfast earns frequent praise for being hot and filling, though several reviews describe limited variety, inconsistent egg and bacon quality, occasional shortages, and late weekend start times. Some guests mention firm or worn mattresses, street noise in road-facing rooms, and patchy Wi-Fi that hindered streaming or work. Facilities include a small gym and ample parking; there is no on-site pool, and winter lot upkeep drew a few complaints. Expect a modern, practical stay.

This property is super clean. Front counter staff was not super friendly & did not greet me by name, which personalizes the experience. Bed was okay, not great. Lots of pillows. TV was on the small side, but watchable - only from bed. Accesable washroom was huge & floors shon, they were so clean. Water goes out onto main floor area, so dont leave your shoes too close. AC unit kept room comfortable & was reasonably quiet. Gym was ok but had no bike - only treadmills & weights. Coutesy towels & sanitizer were available. Breafast was available & the same menu both days. Chinky hashbrowns were not seasoned & bland. Scrambled eggs were mixed to the point of crumbs & no seasoning. Sausages were pretty flavorful & bacon was super thin but cooked well. Both bacon & sausage would benefit from grrase rack in bottom, to allow grease to drip off. Good selection of juices. Coffee was anemic but drinkable. Variety of cereals, toast , yogurt , apples & bananas were available & looked nice. 'Only one serving per guest' sign was rather tacky, but necessary, i suppose?

The hotel advertises free Airport pickup . we arrived at 2 am Feb 12, 2024. I called the hotel to ask if they would send a taxi for us and the lady from the hotel said I had to call. I asked if it had to be a specific taxi company and she said any taxi ad they would pay. We took a Yellow cab to the hotel and based on the information we received we told the cab driver the hotel would pay him When we got to the reception desk the clerk said it was only Apple cabs that they use. We had to pay and there was no offer to reimburse us. I think this is really poor service and am not sure I would stay or recomment your hotel to anyone .

ok, with all respect i knew what i was paying for and that was a mid range hotel. I’m not sure who could give this a 5 star experience. What i didn’t love is how the unit had a strong dog urine smell. I have a very trained dog and didn’t expect to have to pay an extra cleaning fee on top of staying in a “dog” room (yep they moved us from the 4th floor to the first). Also, on the toilet seat i noticed their was urine drops that have dried on the seat. Over all the bed was somewhat comfortable and didn’t have bed bugs so that’s good. So i gave this 3 stars, it’s definitely not a 5 star experience. The breakfast needs a bit of work as well.

Nice hotel, but internet is absolutely terrible. Speed test both nights of 1.5-2 mbps and constant disconnects. Hard to get work done or stream anything. Had to use my phone as a hotspot to get work done. By contrast, stayed in Chetwynd the night before at 95mbps and strong connection. Would recommend fixing as I can't stay there moving forward because of this. Need to get work done.

The beds were very comfortable and the hotel was is very good condition. Our first room was facing the bypass and was extremely noisy from all the trucks. The staff allowed us to move to the other side of the hotel after the first night, and it was SO much quieter. My only complaint was the breakfast was not as good as we had hoped and the coffee was terrible. Most mornings we used the Tim Horton's pods in the room and bought our own cream for the fridge in our room. Ended up going out for breakfast away from the hotel for 7 of the 8 mornings we were there. The staff was great to deal with, and we may stay there again. Overall a good place to stay!

This hotel does not honour Expedia rates if the stay is not prepaid and Expedia can’t make them!! We use Expedia for all our hotel bookings and this is the first time we have ever had an establishment charge their own posted rate. I called the hotel to discuss the charges on my credit card for the 3 night stay and was advised that this is due to Expedia not understanding taxes in Canada. The base rate secured on Expedia was $146.06 per night this hotel charged $168.35. Forget all the added taxes the hotel cost should have been
