Clean hotel with amazing oceanfront views and walk to the beach. Perfect for our family with teens. Outdated but didn’t affect our stay. Great staff that got us checked in while we were still driving. Only downfall was no elevator, would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay tremendously. The front office staff were friendly, informative and helpful. The rooms are clean, well stocked with kitchen tools, and the ocean view is absolutely the best! We were a little disappointed that the balconies on each room were under construction and weren't accessible, but we understand maintenance needs to be done.

This was such a disappointment as when we arrived we were told that the pool or hot tub was closing for the day as they closed early at 3pm. The pool and hot tub with the main reason we booked the hotel. They have an incredible view of the ocean. We checked in at 2 o’clock and they told us it was 30 minutes left to use the pool as they were closing at 3 PM. There was no flexibility and the attitude of the girl behind reception went from pleasant to awful as she did not make any concessions for me and my family. She was also unable to get a hold of any manager and just told us no. When I called earlier in the day, they said we could check in early and there was no mention of the pool or out of closing early. There’s also no mention from Expedia that this was going to be an issue as well.

We stayed here for 2 nights as a base for exploring further up the coast. The condo was dated, but descent. It is a 3 story building with no elevator, not a problem for us but perhaps those with mobility issues. It had a bedroom with ensuite, 2nd bathroom, Murphy bed and sofa bed in the living room and fireplace. There was a table in the kitchenette, fridge and stovetop. The balcony was nice, with views of the ocean. Parking was a little tight. There was a pool in the office building, kids under 14 are not allowed in the hot tub, even with a parent which is very strange considering there was no one else in the pool area and they weren't horsing around. There was no AC or fans in the unit, so it got quite warm at night. Overall, it was a descent place to stay.

Great ocean views from our room- I believe all rooms are ocean view, however balconies and patios were not accessible as they are working on fixing them (what we were informed upon arrival). We had a ground floor room which worked out great- unobstructed views of the water. Older hotel but clean and fill of amenities- pool, hot tub, sauna, kitchen with dishes, utensils, microwave, stove top and full refrigerator. Helpful staff in the front office as well. Will be back!

The view! We were on the third floor and the view was amazing! We had a view of twin rocks. It's a very basic property, but well kept up. There is no elevator, but the schlepping of luggage was worth it. The stairs were not steep. We opened the slider and keep the screen closed and listened to the waves. We rented a Goonies DVD from the office!The best part was a very comfortable and supportive mattress. I slept like a baby. The shower had a very tall shower head so it felt really good. The freezer froze all our blue ice very well and all our food fit in the normal sized fridge.

We were not allowed to use the deck, which was one of the main reasons we booked this room. Nowhere during the booking, advertising or pictures were we informed that the exterior hallways are under construction and that we would not be allowed to use the deck at all.

Great location and staff. Carpet was soiled stained and ragged. Wallpaper peeling off wall in spots. Furniture dated soiled and shabby. Floors were uneven. Approximately 1/3 of light fixtures and electrical outlets did not work. Entire property was in extreme need of repair and renovation. There was no maid service. I don’t believe that the room I had should even be offered to rent it was in such bad shape

I've never written a review before but this place warrants the praise. We very much enjoyed our family trip at this location, friendly staff, right on the beach, great amenities and extremely clean. It's an older establishment but its completely maintained and well kept. I would not hesitate to stay here again, especially because it is reasonably priced.

The good: Patio overlooking the ocean was amazing. Steps down to the beach. Check-in staff was very friendly. Soft towels. The bad: Thin walls and loud toilets: I could hear the neighbors flushing (maybe multiple neighbors because it seemed like a lot of flushing). Also, the floor in our unit must have been pretty dirty: after a couple hours without shoes, I had to wash my feet.

Part of the issue with the cleanliness of the room could be on us, as we requested to not be on the third floor due to no elevators and having to carry heavy luggage up and down the stairs. We were somewhat chastised by the front desk person for not calling ahead to confirm where we would be more comfortable staying. Honestly, that did not occur to me but filed for future notice. The room we were assigned was not clean. I was told that the sheets were dirty on the bed. I slept on the couch because the mattress was so uncomfortable and had a very large bow towards the middle. There was a lot of sand on the floor in the main living area. I understand we were a last minute assignment to the room BUT the bed was made and everything appeared prepared for the next guest. Sadly, it was not. Also to note, the rooms under the stairwell are very noisy. Overall, it was our least favorite place we stayed during our trip. On the plus side, these are obviously rentals with individual property owners. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need to enjoy a holiday. However, coffee is kept at the reception desk. Weird.

Great location on the beach with easy beach access and a kitchen. Very roomy for two of us. Friendly staff. It’s a nice place away from crowds. However, our only issue is that the building is quite noisy, especially with guests in rooms above you.

Great price for such a nice property, the family room had a bedroom with a pullout bed and a murphy bed in the living area, as well as a kitchen. Right in the water so we could walk on the beach every morning. Lovely staff members who were friendly and accommodating. We'll definitely be back

Great stay on the beach! We had a Deluxe condo with two bedrooms, two beds and a pull out couch. Very comfy and very spacious. INCREDIBLE views out of the big windows right on the beach. Nice staff. Highly recommend.

The beach front was great, but upon entering our room, you knew this was very "old" The bed and couch were so saggy I could not sit or sleep. The roller dining chairs , one had a wheel unattached. The carpet was torn. Mold on primary bathroom ceiling. The couch was pushed up against a working base board heater. Staff friendly. But very deceiving advertisement! OLD, VERY OLD!

property was decent, but the customer service was excellent. We arrived on a day that they were having a power outage and we’re very accommodating. Power did come back and they got everybody situated quickly. Really top-notch.

Perfect location in Rockaway, just north of the little downtown, 7 min walk. Hotel is an old property, they continue to upgrade and modernize each room and suite, kudos. Staff were wonderful, having dvd racks and game and puzzles in the office a big perk for my son. 👍🙌. I’ll be back! 😎

The ladies at the front desk were so sweet and welcoming! The property really has convenience and customer service down. They were very accommodating. I broke my ankle earlier in our trip and they were able to move us to a ground floor room. The beach access was amazing. We will be back when I can actually walk on the beach.

I've never written a review before but this place warrants the praise. We very much enjoyed our family trip at this location, friendly staff, right on the beach, great amenities and extremely clean. It's an older establishment but its completely maintained and well kept. I would not hesitate to stay here again, especially because it is reasonably priced.

The view was great! It was the saving grace of this place. Check in is late, 4pm. Room wasn't ready for not just us, everyone that came to check in. Check out is at 21, with 15 minute grace time. After that you are charged $20 for every 15 minutes you take to check out... But you don't get a credit if they aren't ready in time. People noisy starting at 4am every day. Room was dirty, even the dishes in the cupboard. And the coffee maker had old coffee grounds in it molding.. Parking is a joke

The maintenance man left a switch blade knife in my room on the mantel. My child had hands on it before I noticed. The maintenance man came to my door to retrieve the knife the next day and accused us of stealing another item he left in our room.

We only stayed one night at Rockaway and upon checkin immediately wished it was a longer visit! The staff in the office were so friendly, our room was huge, and you can’t beat the views and beach access! The only thing we wish we would have had was another fan, but no extra ones were available in the office (one was provided, but with using the bedroom plus Murphy bed in living area we would have put one in each space). While we didn’t use it being there only one night, it was so great to see options to checkout board games and DVDs in the office to make stays more enjoyable for downtime. Lovely area and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Rockaway Beach Resort was great for the trip we took. We were looking for a quiet getaway on the beach. The price was right (more than double to stay in Cannon Beach) and our room was right on the water, with a pool and hot tub for the kids. The town itself though doesn’t have much. Dining is limited and there isn’t even a real grocery store. However the town of Rockaway Beach is centrally located if you want to visit other areas on the Oregon coast. We visited Tillamook, Cannon Beach and other spots along the coast.

A huge unit with a kitchenette, my kids were so excited to have their own room and we loved being right on the beach. It’s nothing fancy, but clean and friendly staff. We didn’t even have enough time to take advantage of the DVD library and board games in the office.

Right on the beach! Out of the way city and location which was a bit inconvenient in the off season (had to drive to find things to do) but in the summer it would be a great beach spot! Room was ok and staff was friendly. Designated parking which is nice.

This is an older property but very well maintained. Great staff and view of Ocean is exceptional. Near Tillamook Creamery which is great. We hope to stay here again and you should too if in Rockaway Beach.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Rockaway Beach Resort. The people were friendly and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. We liked that the resort is right on a first-rate beach. The staff provided beach toys for my kids, and there is an outdoor shower to rinse the sand off. The pool area is dated but quiet and clean. There is also a dry sauna and hot tub which we made use of. We enjoyed that the resort offered DVD’s and games to borrow, and had complimentary packets of coffee and tea to brew in our room (they even had creamer - just in case!). Parking is free - which I appreciate, because I hate being nickel and dimed once I’m on site. Overall, we will certainly return. The rooms had a queen bed, Queen Murphy bed, and a sofa bed, making it an ideal place for a family. The inside space is slightly outdated, which is the ONLY reason I’m not giving it 5 stars but honestly, that didn’t really matter to us. Thanks for a nice stay!

This room was huge! It was set up like a one bedroom apartment w/ 2 full bathrooms, a pull out couch AND a Murphy bed. The living room area was large and the beach view was spectacular. Our only disappointment was not having coffee (had the coffee pot) in the room, so I had to go down to the office to get it. Also, the balconies were being renovated, so we not able to sit outside. We were able to open the sliding door though and set our chairs up just inside the window to enjoy the great beach view. We would certainly stay here again as the staff were all great and very helpful.

Patio Mesh had holes but when they replaced with another mesh that didn't work well with closure and opening. No AC and room was super hot when we checked in No elevator for older people as the room was in 3rd floor. Sofa bed was inconvenient. Some odor that was not pleasant. Not sure if carpet or something else.

Checkin was lovely. They have good staff there. Location is great. View is incredible. Spacious and clean. The only downside is that they are doing construction so you can’t get out on the balconies yet. Also, a lot of the restaurants in town close early so you have to get your dinner before 630 or you’re out of luck for most of them.

Balcony rooms are best view. No elevators 3 floors. Everything was as stated on line. Only 1 strange issue. Someone of staff BUSTED in on us within an hour after we checked in with no warning verbal or text. We reported it and they said it was staff by mistake. Otherwise I would stay again. Just an FYI.
