Yellow Quill Motel

What guests think

At Yellow Quill Motel, travelers consistently find a simple, quiet, pet-friendly, drive-up stay in a residential area near the river trail, with very clean rooms and notably friendly owners, convenient for short stopovers.

Rooms are older and somewhat dated, though several note updated bathrooms; sizes range from small to spacious. The location is close to shops and restaurants, but recent road construction made access tricky for a few guests. A few mention musty odors, older beds or mixed comfort, and occasional noise. Expect a straightforward, budget-friendly stop.

Newly renovated bathroom was overly lovely but I only concern is there was no rubber mat for the tub or even grippers on the tub bottom to avoid slipping! Construction was going on in the road right beside the hotel so not quite as convenient as it could be. Very close to the lake which had a nice paved walking pAth.

Although the property is very old, they have done a good job in updating the bathrooms and it is incredibly clean. There is security on the property so that makes it very safe. There is no breakfast and nowhere at the hotel to get food but it's in a small town and there are lots of places to eat. I would recommend here keeping in mind the age of the motel. It's exactly as the pictures present.
