Overall the house was very comfortable and our room was nice. It's located in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance from the Green line, a Trader Joe's, and plenty of restaurants and shops. Our only issue was with the creaking floors and stairs. The home is a beautiful old Victorian that's been lovingly kept up, but the stairs and floors desperately need to be fixed. That being said the house was clean and well furnished, the bed was very comfortable, the staff friendly, and we were very happy with our stay.

The owner was so kind to bring in window AC units when the AC was out. Nice room with access to living room area, kitchenette, dining room, and bathroom. Clean! Bed was okay- no frills mattress. Charming bed and breakfast feel in what seemed like a nice area.

If you are traveling with luggage better to avoid. Building is built in 1900, no Elevator and very narrow stairs. When you walk on the steps it squeaks and imagine taking steps with luggage. Very tiny place for shower and toilet. Basically only bagels as breakfast⁰

We loved this charming hotel in a beautiful Victorian home in a lovely neighborhood convenient to downtown Boston. Unfortunately, we were there for a night of unseasonable warmth (high in the 90s in June). The lack of air conditioning in the room after a very hot day of sight seeing made for a miserable night. The small provided fan just wasn’t up to the task. My 6’2” husband also had a challenge in the tiny shower. Otherwise, it would have been a lovely stay!

The owners take a hands-off approach and the only member of staff we ever saw or talked to was a cleaner, so it lacked a personal touch. The guest guide was basic and not fully up to date. A notice indicated snacks and drinks were available 24/7 but everything was cleared out after breakfast. There's one large table in the dining room for guests which felt really awkward because of my social anxiety (IMO there's room for several smaller tables to give guests some personal space). We appreciated free access to the laundry facilities and scent-free detergent. Very good bars and restaurants around the corner. Easy to reach downtown, but the T is very slow. It seemed lights in the hall were on all night, instead of being motion activated. Powerful shower. Temperamental TV. Some corners of our bathroom needed a deep scrub and the whole place would benefit from a refresh. Overall we felt it was a bit expensive for what we experienced.

Great bed & breakfast. Very walkable neighborhood. Short distance to many bus lines & 2 subway/tram routes. Many enjoyable restaurants of varying price ranges. Vintage theater is awesome. Fun dessert spots & a CVS for snacks. Beds are comfy & rooms kept cool with central air & fans. Very short wait at times for the bathroom/shower. Breafast has enough to choose from that a week stay doesn't need to get repetative. Helpful staff & laundy room for your use lightens the packing load. Only after 4 when staff has completed daily washes for planning.

Nice location and the exterior of the home is very nice bu it has seen better days once you get inside and the bed in room 17 where I stayed was terrible. I did not get any sleep and I had to lead a workshop the next day. Not recommended if you have anything important to do the next day.

The governors suite is advertised as having a private bathroom but we were confused to find it at the opposite end of the hall near other rooms so we had to walk down the hall with our toiletries - not what we thought we were booking. Our power went out as it was cold in the rooms and we had tiny space heaters - one didn’t work at all and the other we think blew out our power. We called the number listed as there was no staff on site and after leaving a message we received a text and the housekeeper came and was able to fix it for us. The coffee was very good and overall our stay met our needs.

I had to cancel and rebook a hotel room after my surgery at MGB got delayed and this was the best rate and they had one room left, so I snagged it. The check in was easy, the communication with the owner was good, I unfortunately ended up having to stay overnight at the hospital, but I was glad my husband had somewhere to rest while he waiting for me. He did say it was pretty loud at night, very thin walls.

Boston was booked solid, but CC Guest House had a room and I snapped it up! I arrived late but check in materials were waiting for me. Room was comfortable, and shared bath was not a problem. Price unbeatable. And the Coolidge Corner area is delightful. I usually stay downtown when I visit Boston, but will definitely consider staying here again!

The Coolidge Corner Guest House is a great place to stay if you are visiting Boston. It is one block off Brookline which has the "T" metro line that runs every fifteen minutes. The fare is waived if you are running the Boston Marathon. I really enjoyed the way the people in Boston treated the Marathoners, it is like nowhere else in the world. I hope I get an opportunity to run the Marathon again.

The rooms need to be freshened up. Kitchen area very tiny with everyone trying to prepare their bagels, tea and coffee at the same time. Tip, get to the kitchen before 7:15 to avoid the rush. Location is good. Easy walk to the green line
