It's an older hotel but is in the midst of a refresh. There were little things to repair but nothing major. It's in a great location, expedia got us a great price, the restaurant is quite good, there's free breakfast every morning, and the staff was superb. Housekeeping was great! 24/7 latte/cappuccino machines. Nice indoor pool and gym

Great location. The room was nice, it could use some attention. Chipping ceiling paint, backwards shower Hot & Cold. I let the cold run waiting for it to warm up only to try the cold and find out that was actually the Hot. The breakfast has a nice selection and is kept up with the busy morning crowd. The pool was not open the entire time we were there. A bit disappointing so we traveled to the ocean instead. Don’t plan on sleeping in too long. Cleaning crews are up and working the neighboring rooms. Would definitely stay here again.

Clean hotel with good breakfast. Cleaning staff did a great job. However various maintenance problems went unattended. During our five day stay, one of the two elevators was broken during the whole time. No attempt was made to fix it. The TV in our room never worked, despite several requests to the front desk. They did offer to switch our room. Also, water stains on the bathroom ceiling.

The hotel is very clean. Great Continental breakfast every morning. There is also an excellent restaurant open in the evenings with a great bar and food. I highly recommend Best Western Plus in Waltham.

Pool was temporarily out of order for our whole stay which was really disappointing when that was the main reason we chose the hotel. Right off the highway which was good for driving places but definitely too busy/not a nice place to walk around.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the B W Plus a lot. There were just a couple of issues; one is that there is no working closed captioning for the televisions, a serious problem for very hearing impaired folks like my husband. The breakfast was plentiful and pretty good, but the apples that I got were not fresh (brown spots inside). The pool is wonderful and there's a good exercise room, though for short people like me, some machines were out of reach. On our last morning, I went to breakfast and found that the key did not work when I tried to get in my room; the front desk took care of this but it felt like a push to get out. Overall, I did enjoy staying at this hotel and would gladly return (if the captioning is functioning) p.s. the staff, kitchen and cleaning folks were friendly and welcoming! Thank you Eileen

The hotel is being remodeled now I believe. That being said a lot of noise during the day The room next to us was empty and I believe someone was staying in it. The room has a strange balcony area. Very dirty and the window opens up just enough for a small child to fit. Very scary. The women at breakfast are on the phone the entire time. Talking in another language. If you ask for help you get a scowl look. I will say the last day it was men working and the one guy with hat greeted everyone and was very pleasant. No one is ever at front desk. The place just smells horrible. And you do not feel safe. Checkout is at 11 Am and they turned our keys off at 830. Could not get into our room or even the gym. A cleaning person ended up letting us get our things from room. I will say the restaurant we had an excellent turkey blt sandwich. Our bathroom had paint peeling and mold coming from ceiling. No fan so when ceiling was wet black mold would drip on you. The carpet in room I would bet has never been cleaned. It was gross. We did not have a choice. But now when choosing a best western I will think of this place. Yuck.

the staff was very friendly and accommodating. however, there was a pretty big issue with our booked room. there were several types of mold all over the bathroom ceiling as a result of water damage, and on top of that the bathroom was not clean upon check in, with someone’s hair all over the bath tub. Our breathing was being affected by the mold almost immediately. once we brought these issues to the attention of staff and showed pictures, they were quick to provide a different room that was much better which we were grateful for, but it’s also unfortunate the initial issue happened at all.

While front lobby, and downstairs in general are nice, clean & welcoming the hallway was dirty (although to be fair I don’t know how long before I arrived it became dirty so it’s possible the staff was not yet aware) but the room was definitely in questionable shape. The rug had numerous stains, ranging from very large to small (and sticky in places), the tub was all dinged up and there was a noticeable hole around the shower head pipe, the bathroom floor had noticeable dust/dirt/etc accumulated along the floorboards, there was food crumbs under the table and sticky residue on 2 of the tables. The toilet seat did not fit the toilet so it would suddenly & loudly shift as you were on it. And there was a noise that continued throughout the night, on and off, that resembled a leaf blower being turned on and off after a few seconds. The doors needed to be pulled hard to ensure full closure and this meant hearing doors at all hours. The little interaction I had with the staff was pleasant, everyone was very kind, friendly & helpful.

There were pros and cons of this hotel Pros: cost, good location with easy, free parking, helpful staff, safe and relatively quiet area by several other hotels, gluten free options available at breakfast upon request, almond milk also available at breakfast Cons: the main con for us is that the linens were stained. After finding stains on our bed linen, we asked for a replacement. The staff quickly brought us a replacement that felt like it had just come from the dryer. However, the new one also had stains.

We checked in late and I was kept up by the elevator sounds, very loud and sporatic. Also, by the drunk girls' sounds through the thin walls and adgoining doors. The maintenance showed that it was shoddy -splatters of paint and spackling not cleaned up, cracks and stains and such. But the deal-breaker for me was the wimpy shower and the 'soft' water - the kind that makes you feel like the soap isn't washed off - a combination that was a shower disaster.

The stay was nice. The stay for us was a lay over for a couple of events. The continental breakfast was is great. The pool is very nice. Nice having a restaurant onsite, very convenient. Observations: If you like a quieter room. Pick the side opposite the highway side. It can be a bit noisy at night. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable. The room itself was in need of some repairs. Wear and tear kind of stuff. The Balcony slider door didn’t lock so the wind would blow it open and let the cold air in. The shower wall had water damage it appears it was from a leak from the floor above, the wall outlets were so worn out so it wouldn’t hold a power plug in the outlet. Cigarette burns on the carpet. So that carpet must be pretty old. But they kept the carpet very clean. Would we stay again, yes.

Nice hotel for the lower end price $80 , the water took awhile to get hot in the bathroom , window don’t open all the way, tv is a bit dated ( not smart or do screen casting ). No ppv channels, the mattress are deff on the low end of the comfort scale. The pool is nice ! Perfect amount of chlorine. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Can’t wait to try breakfast 🍳 the bar attached is nice but on the pricier side for food and drinks compared to other local spots. The room its self is decent sized. The view is pretty good you can see all the other modern hotels 🏨. There’s a store right at the start of the driveway.

The property was outdated and didn’t match the pictures. I feel as though it was a bait and switch type of thing. Our first room had a strange smell to it and the toilet had a slow leak and when you flushed it became worst. Staff did switch our room because of the leak. Room walls were thin and we could hear the neighbors “doing things”. Worked for the few nights we were there, not sure I’d stay longer than a night.

We went to check in and and were told that they were overbooked and could accommodate my reservation. When I showed her my reservation, she just shrugged and said it happens all the time. When I asked why she didn’t call me and at least give me the heads up so I could find another room she shrugged again and said it wasn’t her job. Ridiculous to have to find a new hotel in the middle of the night.

At 11pm we were already in Bed and a staff tried to open our door and knocked to see if we are in. Then asked our name, female voice, and told us that they changed our room. We told them we wanted to just stay in same room, called the front desk to see what’s happening. It’s so wrong to just try to open the door before notifying us by calling. Then at 5:35am, someone banged the door and awoke us. It’s really a horrifying experience. We hear stories about tourists getting robbed at hotel rooms and we thought it could be it. We were so scared thru the night because we didn’t open the door, didn’t see who was standing there, even the front desk told us it was one of their staffs, how do we know for sure? I couldn’t relax thru the night. Slept poorly. In the morning, our room key didn’t work. They changed the code? It just didn’t work. The room wasn’t maintained. Some hooks and towel bar were not attached right, a soap bar was opened used and it had a hair on it before we arrived. Bathroom ceiling had some bubbled parts. The bed was old and slanted down towards side table. We’ll never stay there again.

It was a little hard to find the front desk, given the restaurant entrance at the same place, and there is no clear spot to park one's car to check in and unload. (Having the adjoining restaurant was very convenient, though.) The room was spacious and mostly handicap accessible (though we hadn't asked for that). The American continental breakfast was better than most (many choices and all fresh), and the staff very attentive. The location is very convenient to the major highways near by, and to our friends in Waltham. We will likely stay there again.

This property was very convenient to getting on or off of thoroughfares that allowed us to get to where we wanted to go. The restaurant on site was excellent, and Ruth's Chris was right across the street! The room was clean. The motel was very clean and the all of the staff were friendly, courteous, and very helpful.

My room was clean, comfortable, and large. I liked the breakfast area and options, as well as the coffee machines. The pool area was also nice. It was sunny and a warm, quiet spot to relax. The location is a little far from downtown Boston, but if you don’t mind a drive it’s a good spot to stay.

I loved the complimentary 24 hour coffee bar. I don’t drink coffee ever, and rarely drink tea, but I LOVE hot cocoa and I had several during my stay. My friend added French Vanilla creamer to it, and wow! It was fantastic. The staff was very nice. There were 2 occasions where I had to go back down to the front desk because my keys didn’t work. One of those times, they gave me a free snack bag for my trouble. The breakfast was great! Huge variety, and hot proteins every day. Eggs, meat, and potatoes. The bar/restaurant on site is not affiliated, but it’s a nice place to gather. The room was clean, and a very good size. I’ll be staying here on any and all future trips to the area.

The room that we stayed in had a noisy heater. You could also hear the elevator everytime it changed floors. The pool was closed for 1 entire day of our stay, and the pool was one of the main reasons I chose this hotel for our family. The restaurant had poor service but the food was decent.

It was a very pleasant stay, we were there from Texas to celebrate our daughter’s graduation from Babson college. We have stayed at several BWP hotels before but none of them compare to this location. Really great in house restaurant for the family or couples event. Food was delicious we dined there twice in a two day stay! Good drinks/no driving!
