Disappointing stay — would not recommend Rating: 1 / 5 stars Our group booked 4 rooms here, and despite the hotel having 133 rooms total (with only 53 available to book and the rest sitting completely empty), we were denied our request to be placed together near our friends. The excuse? Our rooms had allegedly already been "prepped." With 1 on-site staff member and motel-style outside access, the property needs major renovations, exterior cleaning and better outside lighting. Inside was shocking: extremely dusty, a room with leftover food by the bed, and a discarded needle cap on the floor. Beds lacked comfort, blankets felt like the 1950s, not enough towels or washcloths were provided, bathrooms are tiny, bar fridges were unplugged and warm, toilet paper had to be requested, and basic toiletries like shampoo and conditioner were missing. The TV was tiny with few channels, and the pool was completely out of commission. Checkout summed it up: our room cost against our deposit was minimal. Staff suggested keeping the full full since it was "only a very small difference less for the room." Fed up, I just let them take it so I could leave. Between shocking safety oversights, shady billing, zero cleanliness, and inflexible service, we will not stay here again and strongly recommend looking elsewhere in Red Deer. Not worth the cheaper rate.

The property is a former travelodge. New owners with BA brand. Next door to two bigger hotel chains charging triple the price. Very glad I chose this place to stay. Clean room. Very excellent staff made me feel like a person checking in, not just a number or another room filled. Stayed in town for a practice with two kids. No complaints. Very close to the mall (1/2 block) close to all the amenities. Casino. Food. Take out. Jollibee. Will definitely stay here again for the price. Safe area. Parked my new car out front. No problems.

Air conditioning didn’t work. Really rundown but was available when nothing else was. I guess there was a reason.

This place needs to be condemned. What a disaster. Everything stinks, it’s falling apart and it is dirty. We were not able to stay the whole night. We did not feel safe.

The hotel is very run down and dirty, the covers on the beds had white stains (don't ask me) I just removed them, The place smells. The pool is not working (not heated) it had green stuff in the bottom so I do not think they maintain that either, no ice machine but I did not venture the corridors filled with graffiti. The tub and the washroom need maintenance at least five years ago, stains and cigarette burns are everywhere. It took me several tries to get how to open the door with the card because the door sticks and the reader is old, it needs a lot if maintenance. If you want queen beds your room will end up in the part of the the motel area where the druggies lurk so do not come out when it is dark specially if you did not practice dealing with the door and the card during the times where there was sunlight The checkout took about 45 minutes as the guy at reception could not figure out the return of the deposit and he did not believe I used the card cause I checked in with a different employee. but if you want the zombie Apocalypse experience (if such event happened in the year 2000) and want to experience using looking at a yellow phone (old plastic) and Microwave from that era, sure go ahead, be sure to use the extra latch at your door as Zombies are attracted to the light and they check if the door is not locked for you and they do check your car as well. I really do not know when did they take those pictures to show on the hotesl.com website.
