The room was disgusting and dirty. There was dog hair all over the floor and furniture. Nothing but the bed and shower/toilet was cleaned. I had to clean off the counter around the sink area. Wasn't greeted for several minutes when I checked in. The front desk lady was on a phone call and just stared at me but didn't acknowledge me in a pleasant way. Then when she approached, no smile, no welcome in, just what's your name and do you have a dog, she asked me 3 times if I had a dog and 3 times, I said no. No! I'm allergic! She rhen finally found my keys and confirmation, put it on the counter and said sign, then handed me my keys and said 2nd floor. The oddest and coldest check-in experience I've ever had! The weather was foggy most of the time, not the hotel's fault but just made it that much worse of a stay. Will never stay there again!

Had issues checking in. Poor girl at the desk kept trying to contact the manager but they never answered or got back to her. She finally got it figured out. Hot water in shower sucks so you have to hurry. Had to go the next day down to the office with the maid who was knocking on my door saying my room should be empty. I booked for multiple days. They had to look in the computer again. Sunday morning there's was hot water for 5 minutes then it was cold. The breakfast is poor I went elsewhere for breakfast. Pillows are flat. But the view is great

The great: Location! We chose this place for easy access to the beach and a few shops in the Taft district. The views are great. Love having a balcony and listening to the ocean waves at night. Vending machines with decent snack options. Front desk staff was friendly. The not so great: Upkeep of the property is lacking. Huge holes in the screen of our sliding glass door. The cold water faucet for the jetted tub didn't work. We let the front desk know and they came in to show us we have to push down on the knob while turning it. Not the end of the world but felt a bit rinky dink for what I paid for the room. The sink faucet was difficult to turn on and off without having water blast everywhere. Interesting options for breakfast: hot dog buns and breadsticks. Thank goodness for the waffle makers. Overall, the place has a lot potential to be great if they invested in better maintenance.

The room that we were given was in terrible condition. The carpet was very old and a big line was all frazzled in the middle of floor. It did not smell very good and an area by the door was sticky in the carpet.
