Motel Rayalco

What guests think

Motel Rayalco is a simple, budget-friendly stop just off the highway, widely praised for very clean rooms and good value, while rooms are compact with dated decor and the setting is more practical than scenic for road trips.

Practical touches stand out, including ample parking (even for trailers) and in-room basics like a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Guests often describe quiet stays and comfortable beds, though a few mention hard mattresses, limited towels, musty odors, or minor maintenance and security-lock concerns. Service is frequently praised as warm and accommodating with smooth check-in and small gestures like bottled water, but several note limited French at the front desk. Expect a no-frills stopover focused on value and convenience.

Stayed here on night en route to Gaspe. Noticed a day later my prescription glasses were missing. After several calls to other places I stopped in on the way back in case I had left them at this motel and Kai, the manager, had them set aside in safekeeping. He literally saved me $700 in eyeglass replacement costs. Not only did he find my glasses but he offered me 2 bottles of cold water for my journey. He is an amazing host. Wonderful integrity and kindness. People make the business. Thank you Kai !!!
