Wir waren schon zum dritten Mal im Royal Yao Yai Island Beach Resort, uns gefällt es dort einfach so gut. Das Frühstück ist abwechslungsreich und lecker, wir hatten immer ein sehr schönes Zimmer und das Hotelpersonal ist immer sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir lieben die Lage direkt am Strand, es gibt einen schönen großen Pool und kleine Geschäfte und Restaurants in der Nähe. Dieses Mal war es uns fast schon etwas zu voll, aber damit muss man um Weihnachten in Thailand mittlerweile leben. Wir hoffen trotzdem, dass sich die Insel und das Hotel auch in Zukunft nicht vom Massentourismus mitreißen lässt.

Værelset var godt, men mange reserverer solsengene allerede tidligt om morgenen ved at lægge håndklæder på dem, så man føler sig nærmest tvunget til at stå tidligt op for at få en. Flere dage stod solsengene tomme i timevis med håndklæder på. Til sidst spurgte vi hotellet, om vi måtte flytte dem, hvilket vi til sidst fik lov til

Detta hotell är ganska stort med för och nackdelar. Vi har dock bott här 2 år i rad. Fördelarna är att det är en bra frukost med allt man kan vänta sig. Ligger direkt på en fantastisk strand. Detta är ett “barnhotell”, om du skall hitta en plats vid poolen får du vara uppe med handduken kl 06:00, puh. Frukosten kan vara ganska högljudd, ta en plats nere vid kaféborden om det inte blåser för mycket. Räkna med att stå i kö för att få morgonkaffet. Alldeles för få kaffemaskiner eller hitta en annan lösning.

Room did not look pictures from Hotels.com. Chinese themed and materials that felt like at least 20 ears back in time. Ordered double bed but got twin. No excuse and no compensation. They were sold out. Breakfast was 3star hotel, but plus for eggstation. Two coffee machines were working hard and made everyone wait long lines from 7 till 1030. Every day. Best thing thoug, is AMAZING location at the beach with possible sunsets. Had a great one the first night. Beach was very very clean and bar by the pool/beach made decent drinks. Pool was also very nice !

This accommodation only opened in December 2021 and based on how quiet it was when we were there is still a bit of a hidden gem. The resort is modern (more Greek style white buildings than traditional wooden Thai). It is right on the beach facing west from Koh YaoYai towards Phuket so you get some beautiful sunsets. The room was very clean and spacious - we opted for a Suite which included a lounge and simple kitchen area (nothing to cook with though). We had direct views of the pool and beach from the bed. The breakfast was ok but options were limited (no buffet with such low occupancy). The staff were really pleasant throughout our stay. There is a lovely large pool right in the centre of the resort.

Det var også nemt at komme dertil, da der “hele tiden” var færger og der holdte også taxier og ventede på land. Minusser: Aircon larmede vildt meget og var langsom om at køle værelset ned. Væggene var tynde, så man kunne høre alt. Og der var virkelig meget larm på hotellet. Dog var det en god seng og gode puder. Wifi’en virkede ikke særlig godt. Maden på hotellet var kedelig. Men personalet var flinke, og rengøringen inde og ude fejlede intet.

This is not 5 star hotel as advertised. It is 3 star hotel at most. The location is good, probably best on the island, close to the beach, shops and restaurants. The rooms are noisy because of thin walls and breakfast is rather poor. If you want fresh eggs prepare to wait about 20 min. The area is not cleaned properly and guests are not very friendly. Mostly families with kids. Not much relaxation here. We always went further away from the hotel to have some tranquility. Nothing really to do on the island apart from getting on tours to other islands.

Vi bookede et dobbeltværelse med stor bobbeltseng på hotellet Royal Yao Yai, men endte med at få et værelse med to enkeltsenge på B&J Radisson hotel, som virker som den billigere udgave? Ikke optimal service ved indtjekning, jeg prøvede at få fat på hotellet gennem hotels i flere dage før de svarede og da vi ankom kunne kommunikationen godt være meget bedre. De talte ikke så godt engelsk så mange misforståelser. Hotellet ligger dejligt på stranden og personalet i buffeten og poolbpys var rigtig søde.

Værelset var ikke klar da vi kom. A/c larmede så meget at vi måtte slukke den for at kunne sove, der blev meget varmt i værelset. Ikke nok ligge stole ved poolen eller ved stranden. Vores nøglekort virkede ikke flere gange hvor vi skulle tilbage efter et nyt.

Vi bookede et dobbeltværelse med stor bobbeltseng på hotellet Royal Yao Yai, men endte med at få et værelse med to enkeltsenge på B&J Radisson hotel, som virker som den billigere udgave? Ikke optimal service ved indtjekning, jeg prøvede at få fat på hotellet gennem hotels i flere dage før de svarede og da vi ankom kunne kommunikationen godt være meget bedre. De talte ikke så godt engelsk så mange misforståelser. Hotellet ligger dejligt på stranden og personalet i buffeten og poolbpys var rigtig søde.

Room did not look pictures from Hotels.com. Chinese themed and materials that felt like at least 20 ears back in time. Ordered double bed but got twin. No excuse and no compensation. They were sold out. Breakfast was 3star hotel, but plus for eggstation. Two coffee machines were working hard and made everyone wait long lines from 7 till 1030. Every day. Best thing thoug, is AMAZING location at the beach with possible sunsets. Had a great one the first night. Beach was very very clean and bar by the pool/beach made decent drinks. Pool was also very nice !

Værelset var ikke klar da vi kom. A/c larmede så meget at vi måtte slukke den for at kunne sove, der blev meget varmt i værelset. Ikke nok ligge stole ved poolen eller ved stranden. Vores nøglekort virkede ikke flere gange hvor vi skulle tilbage efter et nyt.

Quite nice resort with excellent location right on the beach, not crowded and good garden. Comortable and clean rooms. Ok breakfast.Limited F&B facilities. Wir waren schon zum dritten Mal im Royal Yao Yai Island Beach Resort, uns gefällt es dort einfach so gut. Das Frühstück ist abwechslungsreich und lecker, wir hatten immer ein sehr schönes Zimmer und das Hotelpersonal ist immer sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir lieben die Lage direkt am Strand, es gibt einen schönen großen Pool und kleine Geschäfte und Restaurants in der Nähe. Dieses Mal war es uns fast schon etwas zu voll, aber damit muss man um Weihnachten in Thailand mittlerweile leben. Wir hoffen trotzdem, dass sich die Insel und das Hotel auch in Zukunft nicht vom Massentourismus mitreißen lässt.

Detta hotell är ganska stort med för och nackdelar. Vi har dock bott här 2 år i rad. Fördelarna är att det är en bra frukost med allt man kan vänta sig. Ligger direkt på en fantastisk strand. Detta är ett “barnhotell”, om du skall hitta en plats vid poolen får du vara uppe med handduken kl 06:00, puh. Frukosten kan vara ganska högljudd, ta en plats nere vid kaféborden om det inte blåser för mycket. Räkna med att stå i kö för att få morgonkaffet. Alldeles för få kaffemaskiner eller hitta en annan lösning.

The hotel is nice and new, however getting there is problematic. You have to take a taxi to the port for the ferry. The ferry was late, so we waited in extreme heat for almost an hour. The ferry was packed and unsafe, scary. Once we arrived on Yao Yai we had no way of getting to the hotel, so we had to hire a driver. After I insisted the hotel reimbursed the driver. Once we were finally there it was nice.

This accommodation only opened in December 2021 and based on how quiet it was when we were there is still a bit of a hidden gem. The resort is modern (more Greek style white buildings than traditional wooden Thai). It is right on the beach facing west from Koh YaoYai towards Phuket so you get some beautiful sunsets. The room was very clean and spacious - we opted for a Suite which included a lounge and simple kitchen area (nothing to cook with though). We had direct views of the pool and beach from the bed. The breakfast was ok but options were limited (no buffet with such low occupancy). The staff were really pleasant throughout our stay. There is a lovely large pool right in the centre of the resort.
