The front desk staff was very helpful during check in. They made room in their fish freezer for my salmon. The check out was very smooth too. Friendly folks.

No elevator

Liked the price, especially when compared to other Anchorage properties. Did not feel unsafe, but there was razor wire around property, so kept door locked. Laundromat small but great clean machines! Room and bedding could use updating, but was definitely clean. Close enough to shopping, zoo, restaurants, etc. Would stay again, as was clean and half the cost of other properties.

Hotel was clean. Windows had no screen or screens were broken but they opened to allow fresh air in. Room was warm but beds were nicely made and room was comfortable with nice kitchen and working freezer to hold fish.

With unworking hall door and no elevator, moving luggage was difficult. Our room was too hot and no obvious way to cool it.

It’s a cheap motel with RV park. I imagine on the RV side of things it’s great motel side. I’m I’ve stayed at nicer and worse

The one thing this place has going for it, is friendly staff. We booked this place for the fish freezer because we went on a fiahing trip and needed to store it overnight. Their "fish freezer" is a chest freezer, in an unsecured location, available to any passer-by. We ended up storing it at the airport, thank goodness they had room! The rooms were dirty: floors, tables, counters. The walls filthy with stains and smudges. The rooms reeked of cigarette smoke even with "no smoking signs" on all walls of the building. Friendly staff gave them points, AND clean sheets. Otherwise, its a classic case of you get what you paid for. Most hotels in anchorage is $300 per night. So for half the price, this is what you get.

No Elevator. Tiny toilet. TV was good. Coffee pot and microwave and refrigerator were fine.

Location was great for us. Did the research ahead so knew Creekwood was RV park and hotel. For us it was a great value relative to other area properties. Beds were older and less comfortable than we had hoped.

The place had the feel of a half-way home with permanent residents living there. It advertises laundry but it closes at 3:30p so unless you start a load right at first possible checkin, you don't have ready access. Loud noises from the side street could be heard throughout the night. Something bit me during the middle of the night. The bite area slightly swelled and itched badly for the next couple of days. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

This hotel should not be allowed to operate. Our room was absolutely filthy with cigarette burn marks on the under bedding. There was unknown substances on the walls and windows. We booked for two nights only to be told that they had overbooked the room we were set to stay in and would have to wait for the manager in the morning to fix it. This made us have to cancel plans. In the morning when he talked to the manager he was incredibly rude stating “I’m the manager” which let us know that he actually did not care about our situation. He informed us we would have to move rooms because a 4 night reservation was set to check into our room that day. He was unwilling to work together to find a solution to their blatant error. We checked out that morning and cancelled our second night. The hotel proceeded to charge us for a second night anyway. Do not waste your time or money at this place. I frequently stay at budget hotels knowing it may not be the most clean or luxurious. However, this place was not worth the rudeness from the manager or putting my life at risk as there were many homeless people hanging out on and around the property.

Roaches, property would not do anything about it

Room smells like cigarettes smoke. Room is dirty, bathroom is dirty.

I am a Australian travelling around in the USA for a few months. We have stayed in about 60 budget hotels since arriving. We chose to stay at the Creekwood Inn in Anchorage because accommodation is extremely expensive, and it was a little cheaper than most in its vicinity. I feel like I need to warn other perspective travellers that this hotel is old, tired, dirty and in disrepair. Our room had an infestation of the small German cockroaches. The bedding was old, and certainly not hotel quality. If I had my time again I’d definitely spend more on a higher rated hotel.

The room smelled horrible. Brown stained bathtub. Holes in the walls and broken light fixtures. Worst hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Cancelled second night we had booked and no refund. Our friends traveling with us had similarly filthy room and woke up screaming with rodents running from bathroom and out the large gap under the outside door.

The workers were friendly but when we arrived to check in the police were interviewing a man who was involved in a domestic dispute that turned physical. The room itself was dirty, I didn’t even want to sit on the furniture. There was a sticky substance on the floor and tv, among other places. It was pretty expensive considering the conditions…

I was very disappointed with my stay. For the price paid, the service and room conditions were unacceptable. The bathroom and surroundings were not properly cleaned, and the blanket provided had multiple cigarette burns—at least four holes—and did not even have a proper cover. It is extremely concerning that a room in this condition was assigned to guests. I strongly recommend that management address these issues to meet basic hospitality standards.

Photos are old, the outside looked okay once we arrived however it was not a good area for the cost and the room looked like a crack house very dirty, no ac, the peep hole was plugged with toilet paper and tape. The hotel has "quiet time" after 8 but kids were running all over the place well after midnight. The room felt so dirty we slept on top of the covers with clothes we arrived in.

Our first room had cockroaches crawling all over whej we got there at night. And the smoke detector was unhooked and sitting on the table. We had to change rooms. The second room didn’t have that issue, but one of the windows wouldn't close and the room was just meh.

Dirty rooms . Bugs all over. So much foul smell in the room that it was impossible to stay in the room for more than 10 mins. Immediately checked out and coz no other hotels had vacancy ,ended up sleeping in the car. Front desk didn’t help and did not even offer to switch rooms

Room & linens clean! Walls need painting. No screen in window. No secondary lock on inside of door. Tv had no reception (Direct TV). Curtain in the room was gross. Bed was hard as a rock. Ya get what ya pay for I guess.

Homeless people living in their cars just outside of fence on the busy road. Old run down hotel with thin walls. Dirty windows, stain tub, smelled like mold. Would not stay there again.

Non smoking Room smells like cigarettes. The room has no ventilation or AC. Wifi is spotty and less than 1mbps downloads People fighting all night outside the window. We pre-paid for two nights but checked out after one night.

Have you ever seen a movie where children were kidnapped and kept in a dirty multicolored room in a basement? That’s what the experience was like here. damaged furniture, stained walls, stained sheets, burn marks everywhere. Reeked of cigarettes. No seal on door, you could hear the trailer doors slam across the parking lot. (yes trailer park and homeless people on the property). No curtain on the window aimed at your face while you’re in bed. LAST but NOT LEAST, exposed wiring where the smoke detector should be and a LITERAL HOLE IN THE FRONT DOOR PLUGGED WITH A ROLLED UP NAPKIN AND COVERED WITH PACKING TAPE. Could not wait to fall asleep, wake up, and GTFO. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! I only wish I could add pics on this review… YUCK

The rooms were clean and the bed comfortable, however the room was extremely warm and no screen on the window.

This was the cheapest hotel around, and there was a reason for it. Everything was really outdated, cold water did not work. However the bed was comfortable.

Cheapest hotel around. You get what you pay for. Rock hard beds, noisy parking lots and near by streets. People.up all night making noise. Rooms have no fans or anything to drown out the outside noise. Rooms were small and clean. No convenient outlets. Couldn't make coffee unless the coffee maker was on the ground

Hotels at twice this price were sold out. This one seemed expensive at $170/night, but in Anchorage, this is the bottom. There were some good points. There were roaches but no bed bugs. It was dilapidated but spacious. The a/c is a fan in a corner. The kitchen utensils and dishes are disposable ones you get from the front desk. There is one frying pan. The window opens for cool air but there is no screen to block human and other visitors. There is a creek path but there are homeless folks wandering the area. We started 3 nights and liked that you could walk to restaurants and grocery stores.

Property is quaint and old fashioned. Still decent looking but a little awkward to get to. Room was clean, but needs a fan since it doesn't have a/c.

An older property but everything was clean and the location was good. The biggest issue we had was the noise. Between footsteps upstairs and people in the hallway, we had to wear earplugs to get to sleep.

The check in person went out of her way to accommodate my requests. In the first room the TV didn’t work, so she moved me to another room. Appreciated her patience and understanding.

No room available ruined my entire trip. I’ll never use Expedia again

They could not find our reservation when we arrived & it took a long time before it was resolved. I’m keeping a look out on my bank statement because I’m not sure if I paid twice for our stay. Once to Hotels & again to Creekside Inn because they made a new reservation (luckily room’s available). After new reservation was made & chats online with agent, reservation thru Hotels showed up.

Have been waiting over an hour to check in. They say they have no rooms

Confirmed someone would be there at 1 am. Said they are there 24 hrs. Got there and some homeless guy said they went to lunch and would be back in 5 minutes. Waited 1.5 hours with 2 other people waiting to check in. They finally came back drunk. The inside of the check in area Appearantly is a homeless shelter cuz there was smelly men sleeping on the couches. Rooms filthy and smelly. Pick anywhere but here to stay. Even for the cheap rate it’s not worth it

Well I got to the hotel and told them I have a reservation and they told me that there is no reservation for me and they are totally booked and I left . Then had to make a reservation at a different place and i looked and they still charged my card for the stay but i never stayed i stayed at the puffin that night so i payd for nothing and i would like my money back!

This place is rough. It is old, smells like smoke, and is right off of a busy Anchorage road. The bed is noisy and cheap, there's no elevator, the windows let a lot of noise in. I wouldn't recommend it. On the positive side, the owners let us leave our luggage with them throughout the day after we checked out since we had a red-eye flight that night. I was grateful for that service.

Close to Anchorage and what we needed at the time.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Inn was slightly hard to locate as it was set back from the road. We used a GPS system to find it. The median strip on Seward Highway can complicate entry and exit from the property depending on the desired direction of travel.

Location is great for easy access to town. The surroundings of the property seemed sketchy but for that price I can understand why.

This place is a low-end dilapidated old building in a very questionable neighborhood. Area properties have 6 foot high fences topped with barbed wire and even razor wire.

Motel was a good value for the dollar. My only negative was it is on the side of town with a lot of crime. I did a lot of walking to the mall and places to eat and did not encounter any issues but I saw people being arrested, and shoplifting openly. Good place to stay, just lock your stuff up.

This property is very run down. There was a lot of homeless/vagrant activity. The window didn’t have a screen and our view was of the roof of something next to our building littered with clothes and “protected” with Constantine wire. We definitely didn’t feel safe and secure. We left at about 5 am and literally couldn’t leave quick enough.

I always stay @ Creekwood every trip i make to Anchorage, close to food and amenities.

It's an older place. Not close to fast food restaurants, had to walk over a mile to get McDonald's. It's an ok place for a one night stay for the money.

Conveniently located and within walking distance of several restaurants and grocery stores.

I made the mistake of booking this for 3 nights for our stay in Anchorage. When we arrived, my heart dropped. This property is really run down and neglected. There is trash, cigarette butts and weed in the parking lot. There is a trailer park adjacent to. This that is also part of the hotel. There are long term tenants who look down and out. As we unloaded our things, we saw 3 different people drive in, take one look, then leave. Although I booked 3 nights, we checked out the next day and found another hotel in a nicer and safer area. When checking in, there’s a big sign saying “not responsible for theft of personal belongings “. Although the room was large and quiet, it was really beat up with questionable cleanliness. I realize this is a 2 star hotel, but it is worse than other 2 star hotels I’ve been in. The location was really inconvenient right on the very busy highway. If I would have seen this first, I would have never booed it. I paid for 2 nights here that I didn’t use because of my mistake.
