There was no shuttle and we were left stranded at the airport for an hour and a half. Every time we called we were hung up on. When we got to the hotel we asked to be reimbursed for our uber answer absolutely not. Needless to say we will never stay at another one of your properties and plan to let everyone we can know about our experience. A little customer service goes a long way but we didn't even get an apology. Never again!

No TV or pool for Two days. AC unit was so noisy we couldn't sleep do to lack of repair. We had to move rooms twice. Manager, R. M. was full of it and only offered reward points for the multipal problems we encountered. Clearly a lower cost equals a low rating experience.

The construction going on was horrible all over. The exercise room was closed and the pool was not heated as advertised. It was ice cold. The breakfast area was horrible and the breakfast was not great. Rubbery eggs and the pancake machine was not even plugged in or batter made. Trash in the property.

Good location on Ship Creek. Close to the train station with free shuttle service to the train station and airport. Since it was winter, the shuttle was also more available to take us to restaurants and pickup locations for tours. During summer they are on more airport runs and a bit less available. Very handy! About the only downside was that the pancake maker in the breakfast room was out of order. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful! They made our stay great!

The hotel is tired and dated, the pool was green, and I mean green. Blew the breaker with just the tv/ac on.., the person that came to reset it apologized and said “the only thing that changes around here is the owners”. I know it’s not the hotels fault but the trains are relentless, the f’n horns go on for ever. Very handy location, but the hotel is just run down. For $300 a night I expect way more.

The check in process was slow. One of our two rooms had a clogged toilet upon arrival. When the front desk was contacted about it we were told "theres a plunger down here, come get it." Our other roomhad a very slow draining tub which caused the tub to he dirty and gross. Our keys were only validated for 1 day instead of the full stay we booked. Overall, not great customer service. The hotel is old, you can tell they have attempted to repaint, given the paint drips on the trim and painters tape left on items. The "gym" is a treadmill and weights. The elliptical was put of order. This hotel is quite close to the railroad depot so if you need tonstay somewhere close this will do.

I was surprised of the condition of the hotel based on the cost per night. It wasn’t cheap and I’ve stayed in nicer motels. The best part was the staff! I feel like they did the very best they could with what they have. This hotel is really close to the train station, however if you come in on the late train from Seward in pouring rain, they have a shuttle and the driver was amazing and positive. The shuttle is a 15 passenger van with plenty of space for a bazillion bags! There is an indoor pool but it isn’t heated if that matters to you. There is a continental breakfast but again, the staff did the best they could with what they have. You won’t starve but I’d get breakfast at the airport or somewhere downtown. They also did a great job setting up shuttles for everyone to the airport too. Safety wise, didn’t feel like the area wasn’t safe but you could see evidence that at some point some of the security latches were forcefully removed from the doors. Good for a short stay. It just could use a refresh to match the positive energy of the staff.

Do not stay at this hotel! We found hair in the tub; two lights were burned out and no one was available to change the bulbs. The ironing board cover was loose and had paint on it. There was paint on doors , and the bathroom door did not close properly. Two huge trash bags sat in the hall for two days. The air conditioner was two feet from my head where I had to sleep on the bed. I had to rig up a pillow to baffle the air flow. The elevator area was very dark and did not feel safe. I took pictures of all these things.

The staff were nice. Breakfast was great! However, the bathtub was kind of gross. Mold and mildew. And there was a mouse in my room the morning I left!!! Yuck!

Overall old, dirty, and smelly. The staff was kind, but the building is in disrepair. There was dried urine on the back of the toilet seat and the duvet has some new, appeared unwashed stains. The breakfast was lackluster at best.

The staff was great but the room, not so much. toilet was unflushed, 1 tacky crooked vinyl chair, no in room coffee, phone didn't work to call the desk, A/C unit rattled all night as did the fridge. TV remote was sticky when I first touched it.....gross!! Breakfast was less than okJ. Overall just not a comfy/pleasant situation at all.

This hotel was unclean and not as advertised. Hotels.com has yet to make this right as we had to leave. Aside from everything looking unclean in lobby, elevators, hallways etc, there was a huge stain on the carpet in our room. Blood or ??? YUCK. Hotels.com has not yet backed our complaint and even though we left has still charged us! do not book through them.

This hotel is very dated and tired looking. The room had a pervasive musty smell and the bath tub drain stopper was broken. The breakfast room was out of basics like forks and plates. Would not recommend for the price.

Being right next to the railroad station the train horns were constant and frustrating. The bed was good. Pillows too small. There was only the bed and a metal chair in the room. The chair looked like it was part of an outside patio furniture set. WHAT? No couch/loveseat/padded seat of any kind. It would have been nice to be able to sit comfortably and watch TV instead of having to lay in the bed. The fire alarm went off during my stay and it was definitely working properly. VERY loud. Which is good. The staff never explained what caused it even when asked they responded with "I don't know". The property is old it appears that some upgrades are being made so its a mix of old and new. Breakfast was terrible but I was not expecting it to be anything other than what it was. I wouldn't recommend staying here if you are only looking for a hotel with breakfast.

The location of this hotel is great (except for the train noise), but the hotel is showing its age. The door to our room wouldn't close all the way unless really you put your shoulder into it, and the air unit in the room was very loud every time it cycled on. The room didn't have soap when we arrived and we had to ask at the front desk. The room was clean but some of the common areas were not.

The TV didn't work properly. Room was dingy and looked very worn. I was concerned and glad that I only stayed one night. I thought that I had checked in to the wrong hotel because what I saw did not compare with the photos. The front desk clerk seemed to have a bit of an attitude.

We reserved a room with two queen beds but it wasn’t available when we checked in so we were given a king with a roll away! The front desk clerk did the best she could in a tough situation but if a room is reserved, it should be available or the reservation rejected.

The service was done well considering the understaffing. I had been frustrated not being able to communicate with the front desk before we checked in with some questions. When we arrived I understood why. The front desk was dealing with difficult customers with kindness and clarity. The line was out the door with people trying to check in. One person was at the desk trying to manage, her demeanor was pleasant and kind. A second person came to work during the time we were in line. She was friendly as well. The employees were great. The cleanliness was great. The state of the hotel was not good. Maybe I’m spoiled by the other Wyndham hotels I’ve stayed at, but I expected a Wyndham/Wingate to be kept in good condition. This property, the room, the bathroom, all in disrepair. There was a crack in the bathtub. The curtains didn’t cover all the light in a place the sun never goes down. The paint and walls, doors, windows… looked very rough.

I had booked and paid for my hotel room and received a confirmation. Yet when I landed in Anchorage and called for the hotel shuttle, I was informed that they had overbooked and they had no rooms. They offered me a room and a sister property which involves me waiting an additional hour for the shuttle on which I finally gave up and took a cab. When I arrived at the sister hotel, the front desk was completely flustered because their hotel room key card system was down and they were unable to issue working keys. Add info to injury. The website is still showing that they have rooms available..

The airport shuttle was quick and pleasant. And check- in was easy. BUT the hotel is right across the street from the train station and the horns whistle every half hour, all night. And, while the food st breakfast was satisfactory, they kept running out of coffee and hot water, and didn’t even have enough plastic spoons.

The 2 men that checked us in (one appeared to be the manager) were extremely customer oriented and helpful when there appeared to be a snafu with our reservation. The breakfast was good. Not sure why we had a fire alarm on the first night. It was never explained. It was a good location and easily walkable to downtown.

Our stay was fine. The condition of the rooms needs much attention but beds were comfy and clean. The hotel was quiet except for the many trains going by with horns blowing so is loud throughout the early morning and day but not at night. (Trains don't run at night) - location: good. You can walk into town but there is an incline so my older parents struggled a bit. - breakfast: a disaster! Great variety of choices IF you can get them. It was SO busy they ran out of food every morning. The breakfast space is SO small that most people had to stand around and try to eat. - recommendation: for a Wyndham hotel I expect a little more
