Well, i'll start with the positive- the refrigerator and microwave worked. Also, the toilet flushed, so those are all plusses. However, the room was not clean, the faucet was loose, and there was a hole in the wall. Oh, and the elevator broke down. Still, the price was less than other hotels, and parking was free, so you have that.

The air conditioner did not cool the room down, and the elevator does not work. We had to bring up 3 pieces of luggage up 2 flights of stairs. The toilet did not flush properly, so we had to buy a plunger. The coffee was weak and artificial creamer.

The elevator did not work and the staff acted like it was no big deal! We stayed before going on a cruise and had to carry 2 large bags up 3 flights of stairs and no staff offered to help. Also when we checked in at 9:00 PM there was no staff at the front desk so we just stood there waiting for 15+ minutes.

The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. The rooms were very clean. One of the two beds in our room was pretty well worn with two deep ruts for bodies and an uncomfortable ridge in the middle. The breakfast was good and the coffee plentiful. My only real criticism is that the parking lot needs sanding. It is an ice rink.

parking lot needed to be plowed /graded, full of large potholes. Room was clean but lacked lighting in counter and sitting area. Breakfast was so-so. Quiet thru night so that was a plus.

There was signficant staining on the carpet, the bathtub was dingy, the non smoking room smelled strongly of smoke. It was FINE for a night, but I was unimpressed overall, especially at a $200 price point

There were not enough bath towels, hand towels or washcloths for each guest to have one. There was hair on the sheets, (not ours), there was trash on the floor when we entered the room, the air conditioning/heater unit rattled and made a lot of noise and the stay ended with the shuttle being so late that we had to take an uber to the airport. One of the worst stays I’ve had anywhere.

The hotel was dirty. My room had mold in the toilet and tub, there was a pubic hair in the tub, and there was Budweiser beer in the fridge. Also, the elevator landed roughly on the ground floor. The elevator maintenence certificate that was posted expired in January of 2025. I took a picture of it and intend to report it.

Not clean, bed sheets looks stained. Carpet needs vacuuming. Tub looks really dirty,I wore shower shoes because of how dirty it looked. Bed sheets were very wrinkly. Plug ins didn’t work except by the bed and they were very loose. For a Wyndham property I was very disappointed. Too much money for the condition of the room.

The most disgusting location I have stayed at. Rat feces down the hall ways. Stains on carpets. Bathrooms a mess. Open windows without screens. AND I was charged $485 a night to stay. Corporate should investigate this mess

Room was disgusting so they moved me to a new room and upon further inspection found was even dirtier. Toilet and surrounding floor were covered in urine, every counter, tabletop surface had not been wiped down, walls had food stains, hand prints and splatters of questionable items. Opened mini fridge to find melted ice cream all over shelves on top of old food crumbs in every door shelves. Front of fridge and microwave had old food dried on and the carpet had not been thoroughly vacuumed in some time. Spent a good hour with a container of disinfectant wipes till I felt it sanitary enough for my 1 night stay. The elevator in the building had the same cleanliness issue. Will never return and did not feel safe enough to complain as the make housekeeper was hanging out in the entry waiting for a ride or something and the clerk told him he did a bad job so he went to look and I could tell he was irritated. Not the clientele that looked like you would want to piss off. And I worried all night something would happen to my truck outside or my room would get robbed. Double locked the door and checked out as early as possible.

I came in at 6:30 PM and a person was vacuuming on the 3rd floor. I did a power walk through the halls and stairs and all looked dirty. Vacuum filter must be fiull. Bathroom was not very clean and the tub needs a snake as it was filling up over my ankles when showering. Breakfast had few choices.

Rooms were cleanish but pretty small. Breakfast doesn't open until 6:30, so take note if you have an early flight. Staff was cordial but not very friendly or helpful. Basic hotel. You get what you pay for. 😊

Cheap hotel and it shows it. A bit run down, heat did not work well, my wife felt every move I made in the bed, and breakfast was marginal. But the price was right and it's close to the airport. It's a budget hotel and if that's what you want, it's acceptable.

Boiler was out. No heat in the room, 10 degrees Fahrenheit outside. No TV remote and no iron. Front desk quickly addressed the TV and iron. Boiler was supposed to be repaired later in the day.

Overall nice convenience to places in Anchorage. The facility itself needs a refresh imo. The coffee at breakfast is too weak but you can’t please everyone all the time. Our microwave didn’t work and it would be nice to offer HBO, etc. Would stay here again.

This is a very dated property with a lot of areas that they could improve on. The one that would be nearly impossible was the noise within the hotel. We could hear both our upstairs neighbor and our next door neighbor start their showers and talk. The exit door was outside our room, which was of course extra noise, but someone has to stay there. There was only one outlet near the tv, so with the tv and cable box plugged in, there was no room for a computer (this is the desk area also).

We signed the shuttle service roster for our early morning flight and were ready in the lobby as requested 10 minutes prior, bur no shuttle showed up and there was no one at the front desk either. We called the hotel, called on the intercom but there was no response. We ended up having to call an uber. We were pretty stressed and disappointed.

We had a reservation for one day, requested it be extended. That was agreed to by the hotel. We went downtown and the hotel called us and very rudely told us to remove our possessions from the room as it was beyond the check out time. We explained it had been extended and was told we had to check out and check back in. We did so and were charged $500 for the new reservation ($200 more than the the posted daily rate online). I am in touch with Wyndam customer care and hopeful they we rectify the situation.

Terrible customer service. Expedia said they offered shuttle service. When I asked about it the check in staff laughed at me. The manager flat out refused even though it was less than a mile away and on the way to the airport that they did shuttle to. Property was run down. At least it was quiet and appeared clean. Decor was 1985 ish.

A/C would not work for two days. Complained and finally third day they changed out the unit. Our friends had to move because their air didn’t work. Signed up for airport shuttle and they threw our sheet away and started a new sheet. At 330 am had to find an Uber. Elevator unsafe! No eating establishments near by! Airport shuttle size limited. Absolutely terrible property. Check in. No computer service, so had to wait in lobby for an hour to get it fixed. Everytime we approached counter. Rude and terrible customer service.

Baymont Hotel was quiet and safe, away from any questionable areas of Anchorage yet, close to the airport with guaranteed transportation to and from the airport. My room was clean, had a lovely Bay window which I was able to sit, relax, drink hot tea and watch a moose down below in the woods across from the hotel. I highly recommend Baymont Inn by the airport and the cost to stay there is very reasonable.
