The parking lot is not the biggest, but the staff is trying to help someone. The introduction and service are very good. Very helpful staff. I didn't like breakfast very much, but I went to the restaurant very late. Public transport stops are just a few minutes' walk away. I liked everything except breakfast and I will definitely come again.

small but very tidy hotel with polite staff who is helpful. Though we checked in very late but staff was prepared and welcoming, helped us park the car and kept it few extra hours without charge. I booked this hotel for a family room after reading the excellent reviews and now providing excellent feedback myself.

İyi yönler: Odaya konulan ilave yatak oldukça iyi idi. Otelin konumu gayet iyi. Oda çok ferah ve iyi döşenmişti. Çalışanlar ilgili. Kötü yönler: Yatak en ufak harekette gacırdıyor ses çıkarıyor. Odadaki klima çalışmıyordu. Otopark sınırlı. Başka araçların çıkışını kapatmak zorunda kalıyorsunuz. Duş başlığı sabit durmuyordu.

ホテルの外観や部屋は、掲載写真とのギャップが大き過ぎてガッカリした。 隅々の掃除がされておらず、埃や汚れ、エアコンの臭いが目立った。 接客は人によりけり、親切な人もいれば、お客様とすれ違っても挨拶しない人もいる。 朝食ブッフェは美味しかった。

I was very disappointed with my stay. Almost everything was broken, to the air conditioning, to the toilet paper holder, to the door knobs, the refrigerator. The bed sheets were dirty and had stains, the curtains were wrinkly and stained, the hotel staff took hours to simply make the beds, we had to resort to do them ourselves some days. Overall, very dirty and did not resemble the "aesthetic" portrayed in the photos at all. The service was very slow, we would ask for towels or an iron and it would take at least an hour to come, or maybe they just forgot about us. The irons were in such a state of filth, they would leave a stain on any clothing that was attempted to be ironed. The hotel lobby would always smell like a sewer. The only good thing about this hotel was its location to the tram and bus stations. Honestly, do not be deceived by the photos displayed, this hotel does not look like that at all, and they do not care about improving the quality of the stay for their customers.

Hellhörig, dunkles Zimmer, Schimmel im Bad, beim Toilettengang Duschkabine auf damit man sitzen kann, knarrende Betten, Fenster sind nicht verschließbar, Gardinen hängen runter, ganz schlechtes Frühstück. Ein Bed & Breakfast wäre der bessere Namen. Von 4 Tagen hatten wir 2,5 Tage kein Internet. Man bot uns Sim Karten zum Kauf an, anstatt sie uns kostenlos zur Verfügung zu stellen. Konnte vor Bezug so nicht kontrollieren ob das Zimmer der Buchung stimmt. Da Expert auch durch hinterlegen der Kreditkarte die Rechnung automatisch abzog, keine Chance sich umzudrehen und zu gehen. Dafür war es zu teuer. Am besten ohne Hinterlegung einer Kreditkarte buchen, um jederzeit so ein Hotel verlassen zu können.Da wir kein Internet hatten, konnten wir keine Touren buchen, Informationen im Netz suchen. Istanbul hat auch in der Stadt kein öffentliches Netz für Touristen. Das Frühstück war eine Zumutung, außer man ist ein Kaninchen. Diese Hotel hat 1 Punkt von mir, weil es existiert.

The staff were excellent and the service was phenomenal. The hotel was clean with good breakfast. The location was convenient for touring the city. Recommending this hotel for a comfortable stay.

Das Hotel ist in einem sehr schlechten Zustand. Überall Schimmel im Bad, der Lattenrost vom Bett war in zwei gebrochen, unglaublich laute Klimaanlage, defekte Kaffeemaschine beim Frühstück, ...

Optisch schaut das Hotel toll aus und hat eine top Lage. Das Personal ist sehr nett und Lösungsorientiert. Leider hatten wir Kakerlaken im Zimmer die anscheinend aus dem Abfluss kommen, wir haben ein neues Zimmer bekommen da gab es eine Klappe am Abfluss so dass keine Tiere ins Zimmer gelangen konnten.

Breakfast was plenty full. Slight changes in menu daily. WiFi was very good. Staff was very friendly. Room was clean and spacious. However, TV did not work. But we were on our devices so it was okay. Daily house keeping was good with everything refilled including bottle of water and fresh towels. The floor was not hoovered during our stay. Excellent location to get to the city. Tram stop in 4 minutes.

Le personnel n’est pas très accueillant, le petit déjeuner est super sympa, la terrasse très confortable. C’est propre mais ils ne passent pas l’aspirateur dans les chambres durant tout le séjours. Ils changent juste les draps et les serviettes.

2 reception staffs (a fat boy and Serif (a night-shift guy) are very impolite and unhelpful, only 1 reception staff has good smile. In hot day, the room is too hot but air-conditioner turned off radiators turned on. In cold day, the room is cold radiator turned off. shower room has a lots of mold, toilet seat broken, room door has big gap and outside can see inside

It was in a nice location near bus and tram, but they were not clear about the size of the room. It was much smaller than was expected, but it was fine. They refused late check out as the hotel was fully booked but overall it was a good experience that I recommend.

Manager and day time staff was super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. However, same was not the case for the front desk staff at night. They couldn't answer some basic questions like the ETA of the driver who was taking us to the airport. This hotel was decently clean, furnished as serviced but by no means a 4 star rating hotel as identified in the listing. Walls between rooms are quite thin so could hear people on other side but noise during sleeping hours (after 10:30) is minimal. It was quite exasperating to shower because the shower head holder was loose and kept spinning and tipping down due to a loose screw in the holder. In hindsight I could've easily identified this issue myself but would expect this problem to be identified well in advance considering the staff would've known during cleaning and the fact that the screw had loosened over time. For reference, the showers have handheld shower heads that are propped up on a holder to also act as an overhead shower head. Tram is nearby (4 minutes walk) and runs regularly so there's little to no wait time to get on. It generally took us 30 minutes to get from hotel to Sultanahmet by tram.

Nice quiet hotel close to transportation

Porta Romanos was a very affordable find for my business stay in Istanbul. A 15-minute walk from the subway I took each morning to my trade show I found the hotel quite convenient. I would say the area lacks a good choice of restaurants, but I managed to eat fine. The optional breakfast offered by the hotel was fine though the only choice in eggs was hard-boiled (perhaps my American bias showing). While my room was clean and comfortable I found the walls to be paper thin. Every night around midnight whoever was staying next door came back to their room without any care or concern for their neighbors. I could hear the shouting and laughing as if they were in my room. Only one night out of my 5-night stay was quiet next door. Otherwise, a very helpful staff and well run hotel.

Temizlik olarak bir sıkıntı yoktu fakat saat 14:00'da olması gereken girişimiz oteldeki odaların hazır olmaması sebebiyle saat 17:00'a sarktı. Ve odada ki klima devamlı çalışıyordu. Kapanmıyordu

Möbelstücke scharfkantig, Toilettenpapierhalter fällt beim Abrollen ab. Rezeptionschef hält private lang andauernde Gespräche und lässt Kunden links liegen. Auschecken während seines tosenden Telefonats habe ich vehement eingefordert, sonst würde ich noch länger dort warten müssen. Ich hatte bereits 15min sein Privatgespräch, was mit Drohungen und Beschimpfungen gegenüber seinem Gesprächspartners geäussert hatte, dulden müssen.

Really clean hotel and amazing staff. Front desk always available and will always help. Need transportation to airport, it’s easy to setup with front desk. Easy to get to the city centre from hotel. We stayed for 5 days and our room getting cleaned every day. Will stay again here.

We enjoyed staying at this hotel. All receptionists are so kind. When we asked several questions, they tried to find solutions soon.

Breakfast was not nice and we think it was from the breakfast served that made us all ill. Bedding was dirty, fridge never worked and key card would stop working every other use and would need to be reset. Also location wasn't very good as it was too far out from the tourist spots in istanbul but this was my fault for not researching correctly.
