What guests think

At Taksim Istiklal Suites, travellers repeatedly praise the central location near Istiklal/Taksim and the very friendly, helpful staff, while feedback on the rooms and condition is mixed, ranging from clean and comfortable to dated, windowless, and occasionally noisy.

Several reviews note limited elevator access to some floors and intermittent maintenance issues such as bathroom odors, broken fixtures, or nonworking safes and TVs. Rooms vary in size and outlook, with some spacious options and others small or facing interior shafts with no external window; street or neighbor noise is mentioned by a few. Overall, expect a budget-friendly base where comfort depends on the room assigned.

It’s in a convenient location with lots to do, rooms are okay, elevator is not on all the floors so if you get the family room /apartment on the 6th floor, you have to climb up the stairs from the 5th floor but the staff helps you with all the luggage. Overall we had a pleasant stay!

The hotel was clean, aircon cool and wifi fast- good for work. The bed was comfortable and staff polite. I would note that the Expedia listing seems to suggest that they do food in a restaurant or bar which they don’t.

I was a bit nervous about this booking considering some of the negative reviews, but I have to say I was happily surprised, both of the rooms we booked for my family were absolutely clean and in good condition. The reception team are incredibly welcoming, friendly and helpful. The location is excellent - great bars and restaurants on the doorstep.

Staff were fantastic accommodating my need to store my luggage before and after check in, ever so friendly and helpful. Room was a good size, with air co and a very good bathroom - great value for money for sure. Would definitely stay there again.

Hotel is in a very happening place if you are young and into night life. Staff is super friendly and helpful, but hotel itself is hard to get to (might have just been my luck that most roads were closed to public when I visited). Rooms are dated and stairs to the hotel are narrow. I would recommend if you are the younger side.

While the rooms are compact, the hotel's proximity to Istiklal Avenue and helpful staff make it a convenient option for exploring the city on a budget
