The room was cozy and really clean. There's some living room if you want to relax. The staff was responsive to any questions. There's a parking spot for each room. It's well located.

This is characterful property with a beautiful garden, very close to the amenities, shops and delights that Kingston has to offer. It is quirky in parts, eg mixing modern dining chairs with Victorian interior details. The bed was comfortable although the duvet did not have any cover, relying instead on a counterpane and sheet. Our duvet did have a stain and if the counterpane proved too warm, it felt rather stark to have a ‘naked’ duvet. Never come across that before. The room never became fully dark, as the landing light remained on all night with gaps in the doorframe letting in a lot of light. In addition, the Roman blind also let in light at the sides. Sleep was further disturbed by intermittent firing up of some sort of motor in the house, possibly the boiler. So, not the best night’s sleep. There were 2 choices for breakfast- a sweet, or savoury option. Opting for French toast, it was beautifully served by our cheerful waitress, who was attentive and courteous. It was tasty and well presented. The savoury option was not a traditional Canadian style offering, so don’t arrive expecting crispy bacon, maple syrup and pancakes. Other diners did say they enjoyed the savoury choice however. We did have afternoon tea on the afternoon of arrival. A selection of tasty morsels, with a twist on what you could usually expect, and not traditional English tea. The hostess was effusive and the house gave a glimpse of some of the architectural features of 1888 Victoriana,

Room bright and spacious, bed comfortable and large, bathroom modern and very clean, toiletries provided were good quality as were the towels. Our host and staff were full of energy, enthusiastic and helpful. Breakfast was gourmet standard and the fondu evening meal was excellent. The location was ideal for exploring Kingston with all main attractions and restaurants within a short walk. And finally the exterior was very beautiful. Someone knows how to set up and maintain a small but charming garden! Definitely recommend.

This was a beautiful B&B dating back to 1888. There are some lovely traditional features but the bathroom was modern and there were some lovely little touches that made it a bit extra special. The breakfast was also lovely and a bit different. The only advise that I would give is to turn the air-conditioning down It was quite cold in the bedroom unless you were in bed.
