What guests think
At Motel La Siesta, travellers describe a basic, budget-friendly stop with generally clean rooms, friendly staff, and a convenient location near transit, eateries, and the hospital, while noting dated spaces and occasional maintenance or housekeeping issues.
Rooms are older and basic, with comfort depending on the mattress, some being small or near road noise, and a few featuring jetted tubs that may lack a standard shower. Parking outside the door is a plus, but there is no breakfast or in-room coffee, and occasional equipment issues like weak Wi‑Fi or loud AC appear. Expect a simple, affordable stay that suits short visits or stopovers.

The room had two comfortable queen beds and was easily heated with baseboard heaters. There was lots of very hot water for a long soaking bath. The guests who stayed here were all in bed early with no noise throughout the night. Easy access from the car park to the room. Very clean. No shower access for walkers or wheelchairs at the present time but was reassured they are renovating in 2025 for such demands. For the price, you can’t beat this motel. Thank you so much La Siesta!

Parking lot was crowded, for the cost it was well worth it. Reception was available 24/7. A/C buttons took a bit of time to loosen up.

There was a supermarket with an in-house restaurant/bakery right next to the motel which was very convenient. Parking was available right in front of the room. Room service provided daily.

The rooms had a bed and bathroom. It was totally fine to crash here for the night. But keep in mind there was no coffee maker or breakfast (i had already read this in the description section). Hot water was great and no particular complaints about it. It served its purpose

My boyfriend and I spent the night here since we went to a concert. Very nice stay, staff was very friendly. Only complaint is that our room smelt like cigarettes when we first got there. We left the AC on for a bit and it eventually went away. As well as the jets in the tub didn’t work and we had to ask staff for a drain plug, which was given to us almost immediately after calling.

We loved our 6 night stay at La Siesta. The staff was very nice and accomodated us on a couple of requests for towels, t-p, ice etc...Also, room was spotless. Hot water was very good. TV worked with both French and English channels. Room had both fridge and microwave. AC worked perfectly, which we needed as it hit 99 degrees on 2 days! Location was excellent for us. We were there to ride some of Montreals famous bike paths. There are many options for food and shopping in walking or short drive. We are told they will be adding a bike path in the next year. Would definately come back again.

The bathtub and sink were disgusting. The floors and bedding seemed to be fine and as we were very tired we didn’t ask to be moved and the fact remains that they would even try to rent out this room through your service!

There is nothing except great and positive things I can say about La Siesta. Where to begin: I had Room 104 which was immaculately clean. The bed was made up every day I was there, the front office manager-phenomenal! Example: I had sent an email and she returned my call an international call not once but twice regarding check in times. I was really impressed by that level of customer service. The other big plus about Motel La Siesta is that the property is on FIVE different bus routes that run frequently and late at night in either direction on Taschereau either to Panama Terminal in Brossard or Terminal Longueuil with exception of one route; giving folks easy access to Montreal. That exception is Bus 77; it goes more to the center of Longueuil but non the less gets you to places restaurants etc the other routes don’t serve. I am not one for lap of luxury when staying out overnight as a hotel is a place to sleep. That said Hotel La Siesta is basic but Is a class act. It is my official go to hotel anytime I am in the MTL area. Great job La Siesta!

DO NOT STAY HERE! Location was convenient; however, there were ants all over our floor and the shower didn't work. When I advised the front desk, she simply shrugged and food must have been left on the floor and that's why there are ants. I advised her all of my food was stored in the fridge and it was inappropriate for her to blame this on her paying customer. She called the manager and took my email, promising that he would connect to provide a partial refund. To date I have never heard from him.

A room with no private shower, just a jet tub with no curtains or anything around it in the middle of the room. It was me and a male friend staying in the room. Front desk declined to upgrade our room and recommended we should just take turns showering while the other takes a walk in the area. Tent slum right beside the hotel so wouldn’t recommend the walk. Only one single working outlet in the room. Replaced our towels with dirtier towels. If I could give zero stars I would.

A very pleasant stay for a quick overnight stay in the area. Very quick and easy access into Montreal, plenty of parking on site, and lots of food options in the area! The rooms were clean and we appreciated the fridge and microwave when traveling with kids, however the wi-fi was quite weak, which isnt so great with kids. But overall, it was a good, confortable stay!

This motel is very dated with small rooms, but it's clean, easy to access, and very quiet. We needed a place to sleep on a longer road trip and this exactly fit the bill. Our family of five had a room with 2 queens and 1 single, and while there wasn't room to change your mind it was what we needed.

Upon first glance, the room was lovely. It was recently renovated, with new wood laminate flooring, and looked clean and fresh. It was a little warm in the room, so I turned the AC on for just a few minutes before heading back out. When I returned, I turned the AC back on and then discovered a large puddle on the floor. The AC was turned off again, and I let reception know that clearly the AC was leaking. Reception mopped up the puddle of water, but I guess it had been leaking over the course of many stays, as I found the flooring had water underneath it. Every time I stepped on floorboards, water bubbled up. I spoke with reception again, who indicated they were fully booked, so they could not give me another room. (This website told me there were at least 8 rooms available.) I was given a towel to put on the floor, but that’s it. Upon checking out, I let the new person (owner/manager?) know about the issue, and was told that they know about the issue, but will have to wait to fix it until they have more money. No real apology, no discount, nothing. I hope that the next people staying in that room don’t end up with wet feet like me!

The property was within easy walking distance to bus stops into Longueil. We stayed there to access the Grand Prix which was a short bus ride away. However, Montreal was also within easy access by bus, metro or taxi. The property was clean, a good size and had a handy fridge and microwave. The cleaning staff were attentive and the reception staff were friendly and helpful. Very good value for money.

It was cheap and clean but noisy all night and early morning. Not a very nice area around the facility.

The property is dated but very clean and quiet. Walking distance from a lot of food options, a pharmacy and a market. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Was exactly what our family needed - a clean comfortable place to spend a night on a road trip. We will return.

I found this place to clean and convenient. The staff were friendly and helpful. KFC is right next door. I didn’t like there was no coffee maker in the room and only coffee available at the office. Overall I enjoyed my stay here and will revisit.

No in room coffee maker no clothes closet in room. At these prices should have coffee makers. Room was clean and bed was firm and comfortable good old fashioned key locks. The fridge was cold clean and the freezer part actually worked. Overall not a bad place to stay

The rooms had a bed and bathroom. It was totally fine to crash here for the night. But keep in mind there was no coffee maker or breakfast (i had already read this in the description section). Hot water was great and no particular complaints about it. It served its purpose

The staff was very interesting to talk to, as she didn't want to type my name out to find the reservation. The shower didn't work and room smelt like bleach and chemicals which was a sign that it was clean but we tried to air it out but it did not go away. For the cost and what we needed it for , you pay for what you get.

Great place to stay if you are travelling for the downtown Montreal. You can get a public transit OPUS card from the pharmacy store, and bus station is just in front of the motel. And $50/per night for a dog is little pricy compared to the others. Overall, it's a nice motel to stay.

This was just what we wanted for the price. MOTEL works best for us as we pull up and walk right in. Staff member was great. Spoke great English. Helped us out a lot. Happy with room, price, staff and stay. Would definitely stay again.
