What guests think
At Dakota Inn, reviews describe a budget stay with some newly renovated rooms and friendly staff, but also inconsistent cleanliness, maintenance issues, and limited amenities like a closed pool and sparse breakfast that affect overall comfort.
Guests mention comfortable beds and some updated decor, but also small bathrooms, missing lights, scalding hot-water issues, and nonworking TVs or Wi-Fi. Service ranges from welcoming check-ins to unattended desks, delayed check-ins, and inconsistent follow-through on requests. The location is easy to access off the highway. Overall, expect a no-frills stay with notable trade-offs.

Bed was a full size not a queen bed as described. Bathtub had dark hair around it and a dirty film inside the entire bottom. We couldn’t shower for the two days we stayed. Sheets were also dirty and stained . We were not offered an upgrade & we appeared to be the only guests that weekend as the parking lot was empty. Pool is closed.

The GOOD: Ease of check-in, friendliness of staff, air conditioner worked well, and had fridge. The BAD: Filthy room, stained carpet and bed, torn ceiling and broken floor in bathroom, hair in bathroom and tub, uncomfortable bed and terrible pillows, bad tv remote control, some lights didn’t work, shade was torn. Pool was closed as well It was a one night place. Got ok enough price but would rather sleep in vehicle next time than stay here

Property on the outside looked good. Lots of parking. However had to ask for an ice bucket - plastic with a leak. No tissues/Kleenexes. Light switches on the wall but no lights came on. No light over sink to put on makeup. Bathroom and sink oddly located - next to bed. TV/WiFi didn't work - no WiFi - No TV. Breakfast - Orange juice dispenser didn't work. Coffee was bad. Only bagels and toast available. All round - a bad experience.

I showed up at 4:30pm to check in and was told my room was not ready. I was finally able to get into my room at 5:30. I booked a queen bed single and got put in a double twin room with no asking if that was ok. The pool was not working which after reading reviews has been down for many months. The "breakfast" was some bread and bagels. Overall, a very disappointing stay. Definitely won't be back.

You only get room service once a week, there was no light over the bathroom sink which was in the corner of the bedroom, no Kleenex, no employee on the premises at night.I had to go to the front desk to get more towels. No hangers, no iron or ironing board. The pool is closed because the new owners don't want to be bothered with it. Dont waste your time or money on this place.

I booked for the pool, no pool there was a sign at the front counter that said pool out of order. The tv wasnt working due to high wifi usage. Phone was broken. Nothing to eat for the continental breakfast. Everything was out except cereal and sliced bread and bagels. No juices out of service. Out of waffle batter. To pay 229.00 for the said things this hotel should only charge 45.00 a room because all you're getting is a bed.

Very old and run down. They are fixing some rooms but it needs to be completed gutted. Carpet had bad stains, the bed had stains on the side of them. I had to switch to another room as the one they gave me had a dirty floor. The room they replaced it with had this huge stain on the floor and a very noisy refrigerator. Staff was nice but this place needs everything replaced and a new coat of paint. I would not stay here again

Rooms were just average clean. Shower only hot water that would scald you, so couldn't take a shower. When I reported to the front desk it was like oh well, we are working on that. If shower not working properly don't rent the room. Breakfast was not impressive at all, coffee so strong it was undrinkable. Won't we going back there. The price of the room as good.

Quick off highway location on a hill with excellent home style restaurant across the parking lot. Big room , but no light over vanity sink and a screen that rattled during much of the fiercely windy night kept me awake. Great bed tho, and staff was helpful elsewise.

Overall, I thought the stay there was okay. The complaint I have was that when it came to taking a shower, I couldn't adjust the water temperature. The water was purely hot only, and the faucet wouldn't allow me to adjust temperature, thus I wound up not taking as complete of a shower as I would have otherwise because of the water being excessively hot.

No one at the counter no towels or soap. The lady had to come from another place to check me in. After realizing I had no towels I went to the front desk to ask for some. Gone, no one at the counter again. When I got up this morning to speak to someone, guess what? No on at the counter and breakfast area was dark, at 7AM. This place was a joke, and i will be canceling my credit card transaction.

Nothing to eat for the continental breakfast. Everything was out except cereal and sliced bread and bagels. No juices out of service. Out of waffle batter. To pay 229.00 for the said things this hotel should only charge 45.00 a room because all you're getting is a bed.
