Overall, it was great experience. Unfortunately, there is still slight smell of smoke in the hotel corridors though even the room itself was smoke-free. Would be great, if the hotel honoured Expedia VIP access, silver and gold membership benefits as been communicated by Expedia website during the booking. Business center in the hotel is “week” with no reliable Internet connection nor English typeset keyboards. Thanks, there is a concierge to help you print out the documents.

Ama yine de verilen ücret farkına çok da değmediğini düşünüyorum. Açıkçası ya deniz manzaralı veya şehir manzaralı odada kalın. Otelde 3 havuz var hepsi de keyifli ve tertemiz. Özellikle terastaki havuz süper. Otelde konsept dışında yiyecek içecek ücretleri standartların üzerinde pahalı. Kahvaltıya gelince ancak bu kadar iyi olabilir. Çeşit çok ve her şey çok lezzetli. Resepsiyon, house keeping, garson, vale vb. tüm hizmetler gayet iyiydi ve herkes çok güler yüzlüydü. Sonuç olarak tavsiye ederim biz ailecek çok memnun kaldık.

Oda tertemizdi, otel tertemizdi, havuz, restoranlar, bar, manzara… Herşey müthişti. Üniversiteden 3 arkadaş yıllar sonra ilk defa buluştuk ve kalamış Wyndham’ı tercih ettik. Very nice property with beautiful views to the marina and the sea. Swimming pools, gym, spa and fitness facilities are of good quality. The rooftop bar, restaurant and food is great. In terms of location, it’s in one of the nice areas of Istanbul’s Asian side. It’s a long drive to the touristic city on the European side. The hotel is surrounded by nice restaurants and the marina is across the street.

The street is very noisy and we knew it before so we stayed on the sea side so our baby can sleep and it was very quiet. The beds are comfy. The AC works fine. But the bathrooms are not clean at all. We stayed here in 2013 and everything looks old and dirty now.

I spent one full week here at Wyndham hotel, well what to say… the position in Kalamis Marina it’s just perfect, you can have beautiful walks by the sea and reach easily the famous Bagdad street… the room in front of the sea was super … at breakfast you have a great choices on buffet… and the best part of the hotel are the people! Everybody from reception, to bar, restaurants and all are sooo professional, so helpful and very very friendly!! 🔝 hotel

Bathroom window was not closing properly which made the bathroom visible from the room. The room was told to be a non smoking room but had cigarette burns on the couch. All in all not the condition of the room was not acceptable for a hotel room on this category.

The hotel has no noise insulation whatsoever between the guest rooms and the bar/ restaurant area located on the roof of the hotel. We stayed in an executive room on the 4th floor ( supposedly one of their better rooms) and unfortunately, we could not sleep because of the intense noise. It was as if the DJ was playing in our room. We stayed nine days total - 4 of those days we were not able to sleep peacefully from 11 pm to 1am in the morning. For €506 per night this is absolutely unacceptable. The best part of the hotel experience was the housekeeping efforts. Hard-working people trying to keep the place neat. During check out the gentleman at the reception was not able to explain some of the charges on our bill. We did have a VIP access privileges which included 10 % discounts at the restaurants- which was not automatically applied as it should have been. We had to ask for it line item by line item. In conclusion, this by no means is a five star hotel. Unfortunately, we will skip this hotel next time. If you are searching for a five star hotel, sadly, this is not the place to stay. We have been told that they were going to send our receipt to our email. We are still not in the receipt of it even though we checked out Sunday 3am.

The beds are not very comfortable because they are using two twin beds together to make a larger bed however it is nearly impossible to not feel the split between the two mattresses, even when they put a blanket over it Was quite disappointed that there was no children’s place for breakfast in the morning. I have two little daughters who eat about as much food as can fit in their fist for breakfast and they wanted to charge €25 for each of them each day. I said no thank you and we all made arrangements to have breakfast elsewhere. I just think that’s a very unwelcoming policy especially for children. Because no matter what children are not ever gonna come close to eating €25 worth of food. They said it was a cut off of age 6 my daughters are seven and eight but about the size of six-year-olds and as such they eat the same if not even less than six-year-olds do.

We are World travelers! This is the first time we feel sad to leave a hotel… staff were so friendly, room service, cleaning crew went above and beyond. Our room view and the food was priceless. Maalesef konaklamamızdan hiç memnun kalmadık. Öncelikle, özellikle seçip rezervasyon yaptığımız oda yerine, bize tamamen farklı bir oda verildi. Bununla da kalmayıp, otelin yakınında bulunan bir club/bar gece 03:00’e kadar çok yüksek sesle müzik yayını yaptı. Bu nedenle gece boyunca neredeyse hiç uyuyamadık. Giriş sırasında 5.000 TL depozito alındı ve bunun 3 gün içinde eksiksiz şekilde iade edileceği söylendi. Ancak iade 10 gün sonra yapıldı ve üstelik %10 kesinti uygulanmıştı. Bu kesintiyle ilgili önceden hiçbir bilgilendirme yapılmadı; sonradan “service charge” adı altında kesildiği belirtildi. Konuyla ilgili şikâyetimizi iletmemize rağmen herhangi bir çözüm ya da geri dönüş sağlanmadı. Bunlara ek olarak, odada güvelerin uçuştuğunu fark ettik; hijyen açısından da ciddi bir hayal kırıklığı yaşadık. Genel olarak iletişim, şeffaflık ve konfor açısından beklentilerimizin çok altında kalan bir deneyim oldu. Ne yazık ki tekrar tercih etmeyi düşünmüyoruz.

Fenerbahçe maçlarına gittikçe sürekli olarak kaldığım otel. İlk kez bu kadar olumsuz deneyimleri yaşadım. İlk gün akşam su istediğimde resepsiyonu 4. Kez aradım ve 1 saatin sonunda su gelebildi… Çıkışta da ilk kez benden 1270 tl servis ücreti istendi. Neyin servisi anlamadım ?

The Wyndham Grand Istanbul Kalamis Marina Hotel is a very elegant and grand hotel. The decor in the hotel is absolutely stunning, and the rooms are beautifully decorated. Our room was absolutely beautiful. The bed was comfy, and the decor was amazing! We were greeted by Ege who showed us around and accompanied us to our room. The front desk staff were also very accommodating, and the concierge was very helpful as well. Unfortunately, our breakfast at the Jiggers kitchen and bar restaurant was less than appetizing. My omelette had so much cheese on it, I could barely see the eggs. My boyfriend’s croissant had so much garlic on it that you could barely taste the eggs. After experiencing this breakfast, we declined to try the pricey buffet. The restaurant staff were friendly with the exception of one gentleman who was not very friendly at dinner one evening. Everyone else was very kind and helpful. Overall, this is an amazing hotel with great amenities. I didn’t find very many restaurants I liked within walking distance but there are some great restaurants on the famous Bagdat Street which is a short taxi ride away. If you want to stay in a beautiful hotel with gorgeous, spacious rooms, this is the place to be when visiting the Asian side of Istanbul.

The hotel was clean and very nice. The breakfast was not very good. Many options but all of the hot food was not very good tasting. Also, there was loud music booming in the room till late at night - past 2300. Also, the food was insanely expensive. For example a burger on room service is 30€. Basic burger. The staff was friendly, rooms were nice and comfortable.
