Amazing stay , service and staff were very kind. Food was actually very good and the resort is beautiful . Was disappointed that two amenities (beach club and one restaurant ) was closed. This was not told to us prior to arrival . If you stay in this resort you must be okay with bugs. The property is mostly outdoors which means you will come in contact with little critters. We had dinner on our balcony and woke up the next day to a swarms of ants . This resort is extremely relaxing , but lacks a bar / social area . Don’t come to party .

At first glance, this is a five star resort. Gorgeous views and incredible attention to detail in the landscape, rooms, and pool areas. But, only two restaurants open (and they are basically the same restaurant as they operate off the same menu.) And parts of resort are either closed or under repair. It’s monsoon season so that could be part of the reason for closures however it would’ve been nice to have a bar by the infinity pool and a restaurant up there too. Rain was not a problem, but we would advise staying up in hotel four for convenience to breakfast and infinity pool. Prices are what you would expect at a resort, but you are 100 m down the beach from several local shops, spas and restaurants. Yoga and Thai dance classes were great!

The whole resort is beautiful. The rooms are excellent- attention to detail is outstanding. Staff couldn’t do enough for us. The infinity pool is quiet and relaxed with amazing views of the sunsets.

Góð þjónusta og frábær morgunverður. Einkaströnd fyrir hótelið sem er frábær. Hótelið er mjög stórt og byggt í fjalli - til að komast fra lobby / strönd á herbergi eða hús þarf akstur - það er gamlir pallpílar og frekar léleg þjónusta. Ótrúlegt hvað þetta er lélegt miðað við önnur gæði hótels og þjónustu.

Crowded resort with frustrating logistics! This is a very large resort, and the scale defines the entire experience. Rather than feeling calm or exclusive, the atmosphere felt busy, impersonal, and heavily system-driven. We stayed in a villa with a private pool, which was well designed and comfortable. However, moving around the property was consistently frustrating. All villas and rooms are located far from the beach and main facilities, making guests completely dependent on the resort’s internal transport. Transportation is handled via open pick-up trucks that run fixed routes with designated stops, much like a bus system. These are frequently overcrowded, slow, and uncomfortable due to the steep terrain. While waiting at the pick-up stops near the villas, there was a noticeable sewage smell in the area, which made the experience even more unpleasant. Breakfast was another weak point. The buffet area was poorly suited for the number of guests, resulting in a hectic and chaotic atmosphere during peak hours. Guests crowded around the food stations, and the overall experience felt stressful rather than relaxed. We had hoped to rent a scooter to explore the island independently and reduce reliance on the resort transport, but this was not allowed near the villas and required parking far outside the property. The setup clearly limits flexibility and strongly encourages guests to remain within the resort. Can def. Not recommend this resort.

Irriterende med meget begrænsede åbningstider i fx træningsrum. Strand og badning i havet præget af tidenvand, mange sten/klipper i vandet og grumset vand. Heldigvis giver de omkringliggende alternativer mulighed for fx massage til halv pris. Stor overvægt af danskere. Lader til at det er en bevidst strategi at rette markedsføring mod DK.

The staff works unobtrusively around the clock to clean, repair, prep, and perfect everything. Our sea deluxe view room was huge and had perfect views. The pools are gorgeous and perfectly clean, the beach is soft white sand and cleaned 2x a day, there's tons of seating all over the resort so it's easy to find a pool, beach, or restaurant spot. You never wait a long time for food or drinks. Fastest hotel/resort service I've ever had. One of the best details is its proximity to the little town, which is full of restaurants, smoothie carts, mini marts, tour operators, spas, and scooter rentals. It's all a few minutes walk. You are definitely not stuck here.

Fabulous pool room with amazing views, the room absolutely made this stay for us! some minor tweaks to make this a 5 star - getting our own welcome drink and doing our own check in was a bit odd for a 5 star and WhatsApp messages weren’t replied to for hours. No bar to get a drink at, you have to sit at a table in a restaurant and then get quizzed on where you are going with your drink.

From start to finish we loved everything about this resort!! The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms are even better than expected and very clean. All of the restaurants had extensive menus and the food was fantastic at each. Honestly I cannot say enough about Santhiya, we will definitely be back again!

The hotel staff were very helpful. There are small markets and restaurants around the hotel, but they are limited. It’s fine for a 2–3 day stay, but not ideal for a longer vacation. There were bedbugs in our room, and we couldn’t fully enjoy our holiday because of the constant itching.

The view from our private pool villa was beautiful, however the deck next to the pool was covered in huge ants so we did not enjoy the deck at all. Positives: The room was beautiful and the view too. Negatives: The check-in took a good 40min as the 3 or 4 staff members were serving the other clients who entered the reception before us. My 7yrs old and I had to stand at the reception while waiting as there were obviously not enough seats for all the people waiting. Bad start for a 5* hotel. The shower room could do with more lights or brighter lights as it was really dark even during the day and with all the lights on. The shower room cleaning also was an issue, as being an open roof room, we found ourselves with some animal feces on the bench of the shower, which was never cleaned during our 3 days in the room. Towels left on the floor were removed but not replaced. Some lemongrass oil was also burning in the bathroom on the first day we arrived, however this was never topped up the following days - cheap from a 5* hotel! The main restaurant was honestly an absolute disappointment, always very hot despite some fans installed here and there. The food was honestly not good (we ate much better outside the hotel) and on our last day there, only one coffee/cappuccino machine out the 3 available was working (is it worth mentioning the queue at each machine every morning?!?). Beach is ridiculously small so don't expect to find a sunbed and you'll have to walk much further.

This is a huge property over very steep terrain, so the lication of the room can affect your stay. Small carts transport guests to amd from the main reception area, but it obviously takes some time. The hotel is incredibly ornate and rooms are well equipped. We were blown away by the view and the room furnishings - but sadly our first impression was the disgusting smell, as soon as we entered. This turned out to be the drains, which were then cleaned, once we reported the issue. Other probelems included the very sudden, loud, noise disturbance from below our room - which happened to be a restaurant. So loud! It was the same in the main restaurant area too. So loud that we couldnt have a conversation over it. Also, the food quality on the 750 baht BBQ was terrible. We didnt eat it but were still charged! Very poor service really. In hindsight we should have stuck with the main menu, as the dishes from there were delicious. In general, it's a beautiful resort, with breath taking views and (some) good food. It's good value, for the main part, except for that BBQ... avoid that.

Absolutely incredible stay – already missing it! We had the most amazing time here and feel genuinely sad to be back home. The rooms were spotless and cleaned daily, with refreshing air conditioning that made all the difference. Breakfast was a real highlight – an exceptional spread with dishes from around the world and so much variety. Both pools were clean with cool, inviting water, and the entire resort was immaculate and peaceful. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, making us feel truly welcome throughout our stay. One of our favorite parts was relaxing on the beach and pier lounges – such a perfect spot to unwind, have a drink and watch the sunset. There's also a charming little town just a short walk away, full of restaurants and a few shops, and it's super easy to book boat trips from the island. However, room 3102 is located on the lower level of the building, so the view of the bay is blocked by trees, which was very disappointing as I had dreamed of seeing the entire bay as shown in the room photos at the time of booking. Resort was absolutely beautiful. View from my room was spectacular. Rooms were so nicely designed and cosy. The restaurants and breakfast onsite were great, and room service also good and quick. Spa excellent. Getting around the resort was a bit quirky and at first I didn't understand how to get to my room, but staff were very friendly and helpful. Only downsides were the AC in my room didn't seem to work well, and monkeys kept making a mess on my balcony at night. But definitely would go again.

The views are spectacular, the resort is beautiful, very big gorgeous pool, not a lot around outside resort, we stayed 4 nights and didn’t venture out, we stayed to relax and not do much, pool and beach. Very chill atmosphere. Would definitely come back but get a better room, as we were in hotel 7 so far away. And so many stairs.

This is a huge property over very steep terrain, so the lication of the room can affect your stay. Small carts transport guests to amd from the main reception area, but it obviously takes some time. The hotel is incredibly ornate and rooms are well equipped. We were blown away by the view and the room furnishings - but sadly our first impression was the disgusting smell, as soon as we entered. This turned out to be the drains, which were then cleaned, once we reported the issue. Other probelems included the very sudden, loud, noise disturbance from below our room - which happened to be a restaurant. So loud! It was the same in the main restaurant area too. So loud that we couldnt have a conversation over it. Also, the food quality on the 750 baht BBQ was terrible. We didnt eat it but were still charged! Very poor service really. In hindsight we should have stuck with the main menu, as the dishes from there were delicious. In general, it's a beautiful resort, with breath taking views and (some) good food. It's good value, for the main part, except for that BBQ... avoid that.

Everything was amazing! The rooms are incredibly cozy and welldesigned. The resort is big but transport works fine. We stayed in same building as infinity pool and one of the restaurants. Beyond amazing views from the rooms. Second to none service at all times.

Exceptional and idyllic hotel. Excellent amenities. However, room 3102 is located on the lower level of the building, so the view of the bay is blocked by trees, which was very disappointing as I had dreamed of seeing the entire bay as shown in the room photos at the time of booking. In addition, strong sewage odors were often noticeable outside the door, which was a shame.

Villa was in need of repairs, so much so that floor boards were rotten and broke under foot. Highlighted to staff who initially suggested we move a table over the broken flooring. Not safe so we insisted we move due this health and safety. We were moved after we insisted. Staff, however, were friendly and polite. No apologies. Will sadly not book here again

We really enjoyed the property, facilities and meals. We arranged for several off property outings through the front desk , and we were notified that they were cancelled due to weather. The weather was beautiful and many boats were out on excursions. This was very frustrating as we were too late to make outside arrangements the same day. We ended up contacting an independent tour and having a wonderful outing the following day.

From start to finish we loved everything about this resort!! The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms are even better than expected and very clean. All of the restaurants had extensive menus and the food was fantastic at each. Honestly I cannot say enough about Santhiya, we will definitely be back again!

From the seamless airport transfer taking us to the pier until the private drop off to our next destination our time at Santhiya was incredible. The rooms and facilities are amazing, the service of every staff member was impeccable and the resort was like some type of heavenly dream. We loved every second, even extending an extra 2 nights and it genuinely hurt to leave. Without a doubt the most amazing hotel I have ever stayed at. Breakfast is amazing. Also do the resort tours..we only had 9 people so it was like a private tour. We also enjoyed the elephant tour. Suitable for families and couples. Just perfection!

The staff at the hotel were amazing. SO gracious and sweet and extremely attentive. Our room was always beautifully cleaned and we had a relaxing experience. The beach and pool areas were extremely well kept up and the daily massages that I had were wonderful! This was my husband and my 45th anniversary and we wanted a special trip. My only complaint was that I was charged for accidentally breaking a regular room service quality glass after I spent 42,000 Baht for my stay. It was a petty thing to do by the management and it ended up leaving a bad taste in my mouth while I checked out. I travel extensively around the world and have NEVER been charged for breaking a NON expensive glass. Who ever made that decision should never have done that. I used all of the services at the hotel and we had massages 4 days out of 5 plus we ate a very expensive meal at the property. It is not the cost of paying this that bothered me, it was the stupidity of doing that to a person who spent so much money at the hotel . Other than that, we had a wonderful stay and I recommend the hotel highly. Kudos to the room attendents. They always new my schedule and I returned every day after breakfast to a beautifully detailed room.

Amazing hotel in a perfect location. Great pools with a wonderful breakfast. The hotel restaurant is ok and there are a lot of mosquitos so make sure you have something for that. Amazing hotel for a quiet vacation. The hotel's speedboat is great. Highly recommended

We absolutely loved staying here. It's such a beautiful resort. Everyone was very helpful and nice. Made us feel right at home since we arrived. The only down fall was that you need to get a water Taxi anytime you need to get off the island. It's only accessible by boat. So if you want to visit Puhket or any other island you need to get a water Taxi. But other then that, we had a great time. And really enjoyed our stay here.

I absolutely loved my room the first day I got there! By about the 3rd day, reality set in and the thrill was gone. I def would not stay here longer than a few days if i were to stay again. So like i said, the first couple days were great. I was enjoying this peaceful beautiful island resort. By the 3rd day i realized this was a price gouging set up. I was stuck on the island because of the weather. They were not running the speedboat service at all and all activities by speedboat were canceled. The staff was really nice though.

Only reason I did not give this resort 5 stars is because it’s only accessible by boat. Granted that wasn’t a problem, but it was our first time in Thailand and we wanted to explore as much of Thailand as we could. So we purchased a hotel in Phuket away from Koh Yao Yai as well.

Absolutely stunning location, the views are breathtaking. The wooden architecture is amazing and very unique. We had a garden view room in Hotel 2 - we were lucky enough to have a partial sea view as well. We liked the location of our hotel as it was very central, if you’re in hotel 6 or 7 I imagine this would be more inconvenient given the distance from the main areas. The main pool area is great with plenty of sun beds. The infinity pool is a smaller area and we were not lucky enough to get a sun bed there. The beach is gorgeous - calm water so great for snorkelling / kayaking / paddle boarding. The staff were friendly. We stayed for Christmas and enjoyed the Christmas Eve buffet and entertainment. Great breakfasts with beautiful views. The hotel is expensive for Thailand so we would recommend eating out at the local restaurants rather than at the resort. Although the resort says the private ferry to the hotel is compulsory it is not - we came from Phi Phi so got the ferry to a different port on the island and then a taxi to the resort. Absolutely stunning location, the views are breathtaking. The wooden architecture is amazing and very unique. We had a garden view room in Hotel 2 - we were lucky enough to have a partial sea view as well. We liked the location of our hotel as it was very central, if you’re in hotel 6 or 7 I imagine this would be more inconvenient given the distance from the main areas. The main pool area is great with plenty of sun beds. The infinity pool is a smaller area and we were not lucky enough to get a sun bed there. The beach is gorgeous - calm water so great for snorkelling / kayaking / paddle boarding. The staff were friendly. We stayed for Christmas and enjoyed the Christmas Eve buffet and entertainment. Great breakfasts with beautiful views. The hotel is expensive for Thailand so we would recommend eating out at the local restaurants rather than at the resort. Although the resort says the private ferry to the hotel is compulsory it is not - we came from Phi Phi so got the ferry to a different port on the island and then a taxi to the resort. Beautiful resort however it’s almost too big. The two shuttles to get to your room from the main areas feels a bit much. Everything was beautiful. Food was very mediocre and expensive. Thankful for some cheaper, better restaurants on the beach. Was nice but wouldn’t stay again * IF YOU GET MOTION SICK - the shuttles would not be good for you.

From start to finish we loved everything about this resort!! The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms are even better than expected and very clean. All of the restaurants had extensive menus and the food was fantastic at each. Honestly I cannot say enough about Santhiya, we will definitely be back again!

I loved staying here. The ocean view was stunning from all parts of the hotel. 😍 Room was spacious and clean. Very comfortable, lots of privacy even on the balcony. If you have time between the check in/out time and your boat time, you can still chill on the beach, pool, and restaurants, which was cool. The hotel has their own beach access and even offer paddle boards and kayaks to rent for free. The restaurant has lots of comfortable seating next to and on the beach that you can use, even if you don’t want to order any food. The staff carry your luggage straight from the boat to your room and back so you never have to carry it around the hotel. So convenient! The restaurants are a little expensive. I wouldn’t really recommend the buffet dinner, it was pricey and the food wasn’t that good. We were surprised that for the price it didn’t include any free drinks, not even any water, juice, soda, etc. Overall such a beautiful, relaxing place and I would love to stay here again! Would be a great hotel for honeymooners.

They have seamless communication via WhatsApp, they assign personal relations officer & responds instantly to your queries, very unique service for guests. Seamless checkin & transfer via speedboat from Ao Po Marina to resort & back. The only downside is food for vegetarians. No real veg options, anyone vegetarian will be starving there, as its on a Island which have limited food options outside resort. Many Indians visit here & vegetarians too. Even the veg food offered has smell/flavour of fish sauce! which is non edible by vegetarians. Also there should be drinking water refilling options for guests staying in Santhiya. If they take care of these things, the overall experience will be very pleasant & awesome. Overall if food is no issue, then its a must have experience for all sorts of guest; couples, families with kids, they have good kids area & kids pool.

This is a huge property over very steep terrain, so the lication of the room can affect your stay. Small carts transport guests to amd from the main reception area, but it obviously takes some time. The hotel is incredibly ornate and rooms are well equipped. We were blown away by the view and the room furnishings - but sadly our first impression was the disgusting smell, as soon as we entered. This turned out to be the drains, which were then cleaned, once we reported the issue. Other probelems included the very sudden, loud, noise disturbance from below our room - which happened to be a restaurant. So loud! It was the same in the main restaurant area too. So loud that we couldnt have a conversation over it. Also, the food quality on the 750 baht BBQ was terrible. We didnt eat it but were still charged! Very poor service really. In hindsight we should have stuck with the main menu, as the dishes from there were delicious. In general, it's a beautiful resort, with breath taking views and (some) good food. It's good value, for the main part, except for that BBQ... avoid that.

Excellent traditional Thai hotel with wonderful staff and a warm and friendly atmosphere. This is our fourth visit to this hotel and it remains a favourite. The rooms and villas are very comfortable and are decorated in traditional Thai style which enhances the cultural experience. The restaurants are varied and the food is delicious. You can choose to eat in the beach restaurants where traditional Thai food, Japanese food and international cuisine is available or travel up to the hill restaurant with views over the bay and sea. Breakfast is served in the hill restaurant also which is excellent, varied and very plentiful. The hotel staff are friendly and welcoming and they are both efficient and helpful where nothing is too much trouble. In summary, this island hotel is a little piece of paradise which is traditional and comfortable without being excessive. It retains an authenticity which reflects the Thai culture and hospitality.

Since the facility is showing age related degeneration, it shows good up keep but not perfect. It’s still a good place to stay, relax and enjoy solitude. Staff are very friendly and nice. Breakfast area is clean and organized. Spa rooms are clean, it’s highly recommended.

This property is accessible only by boat (surcharge) from Ao Por Grand Marina (Phuket) to the resort at 11 AM, 1 PM, and 4 PM from May to October and returning from the resort at 10 AM, noon, and 3 PM. The departure schedule from November to April leaving Ao Por Grand Marina is 11 AM, noon, 1 PM, 2 PM, and 4 PM and returning from the resort at 10 AM, 11 AM, noon, 1 PM, and 3 PM. Passengers are required to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to their scheduled departure time. Guests must pay the speedboat fee in advance online or at the property on arrival. Roundtrip speedboats are available for up to 10 persons between dawn and dusk, subject to weather conditions. Speed boat transfers must be reserved 2 days in advance of arrival, or at time of booking the reservation. This is a certified Thailand SHA Plus property. Thailand SHA Plus is a health and safety certification (an additional level to the SHA standard), for properties that are open to vaccinated travelers and have at least 70% of staff vaccinated, issued by the Amazing Thailand Safety and Health Administration.
