What guests think

Hotel-Motel Drummond draws mixed reviews, with travellers appreciating its budget-friendly rates, pet-friendly policy, and very convenient location just off the highway, while noting dated rooms, noise from guests or traffic, and variable cleanliness and upkeep.

Staff interactions range from warm and helpful—often praised by name—to disorganized or rude, with occasional check-in delays and key-card issues. Facilities are basic, with ground-level parking and an on-site bar and patio that can be noisy; the hot tub or spa has long been out of service. Breakfast is continental and inconsistent, ranging from adequate to sparse with few or no hot items. Expect a simple stopover focused on convenience and price, with uneven quality across rooms.

Price and location to Hwy 20 is the only benefit to this facility. Hot tub not working. One TV channel.(understand there's an extra charge for cable) Never heard of this in my many years of travelling. Bathroom is very, very small and not user friendly for handicapped or bigger/older people. No elevator for 2nd Floor rooms. Continental B'fast was good. Would not stay here again.

Notre foyer dans la suite ne fonctionnais pas mais aucunes compensation n'a été offerte. Très peu de choix également au déjeuner. Correct pour dormir mais sans plus

Room ok for one night but I wouldn’t stay longer. Cost ok. Continental breakfast included. There’s a bar on the property which has an outdoor patio and lots of people were also gathered together outside their rooms socializing. It was quite noisy but didn’t go late.

The room was in rough shape. The blinds were snapped right in half but placed gently to appear that they were fine. Once I tried to block light from coming through the widow they fell apart. The room was in desperate need to renovations. The bar has a patio and people were loud and roudy until 2am and you can hear everything in the room. Would avoid in the future.

Great price for a great large room and outdoor patio. The room was clean and large grass area behind the hotel to walk your dog. I would stay here again if travelling through the area.

The bed was very sloppily made with bunched up corners and the bedskirt hanging unevenly down. The curtains didn't shut properly. The door lock was poor and I didnt feel it would keep anyone out. The room hadn't been vacuumed. The toilet seat had a sanitised sign on it but was stained. The corners and edges of the floor were filthy. There was a faint odour of dog urine. The person who directed me to the breakfast room from the front desk at 7:30 am was rough looking and unshaven. However the sheets were clean, I was so tired I slept well anyway, and the breakfast was plentiful with fruit but no hot water. I would not choose to stay again.

Upon our arrival, we were given a room that was already assigned to another guest. We booked 2 rooms and front desk only had 1. Eventually he found the other, but all downhill from there. He appeared impaired, was sitting with a few people on the outdoor patio (when we pulled up) and with drinks. After quite some time, we get to our reassigned room only to discover the A/C wasn’t working. Then fridge wasnt working

Staff were very nice, checkin was easy and efficient with convenient parking. I stayed in a superior room on the 2nd floor. The room was clean and fresh, but the mattress was very low grade and uncomfortable…not a good sleep 😪. And unfortunately the (Roku) TV didn’t work. It could have just been an issue with the room I was staying in. That said, I WOULD go back again as it’s a very convenient location when travelling, I would just request a room with a newer mattress and a TV that works.

Room required some usual maintainance. Window needed a locking unit installed as the original was missing, so window could be opened from the outside. One of the two headboard lights was broken, partly missing, and not working. The forced air heating/cooling unit appeared to need some cleaning and possibly a change of filter would be a good idea. Floors needed a cleaning, ie wet or damp mopping was required. Obviously management is not inspecting what their workers are doing. Just a general lack of concern.

We did not like the rudeness of the staff. We were trying to help another guest understand the difference in the cost of the bill. And the the woman on the desk was trying to tell him not to put his key close to his cell phone. It was clear he was not understanding her broken English so I repeated what she said to him in English. She very rudely asked me if she could finish talking. We then told her she did not need to be rude, we were only trying to help.
