Since we just needed a place to sleep or take naps in the afternoon, we didn't need all the fancy amenities of a more expensive place. The staff were very responsive when we had requests (like a second chair in the room).

2 day stay, first day had no hot water in the morning to shower. 2nd after I checked out I had a need to stay one more day, requested a lower level room to accommodate a medical need, (person was not to climb stairs post surgery), they were unable to accommodate the request. We requested a a couple extra pillows, to support the person in medical need, was told yes but they never returned with them, when I tried to reach out to the check-in counter there was no one available, had to make due by rolling up the blanket for support. Room was noisy, but expected since it faced the main street. reservation for 2 adults but only had one chair to sit.

This is probably the dirtiest room I have ever seen! Actual holes in the bathroom to the ground. The dust and hair on the base moldings was years old. Holes in the walls, no art on the walls but holes where the pictures used to be. The bedding was the worst. I have never had to walk back in and say I can’t stay here and canceled my stay.

Floors where clean only found a few female li g hair in bathroom and vanity area. Tub was not clean and had no stopper making it a pain to bath kids. I give it 4 star because of service at check in and price.

If you're seeking an affordable, clean, and comfortable place to stay and can overlook a few imperfections, this motel is a solid choice. However, if details like peeling wallpaper or minor wear and tear are a concern for you, consider opting for a more expensive option. It's great value for those prioritizing cost over luxury.

Unbelievably poor experience and management. I was asked to leave after twice reporting what I believe was a pervasive mildew odor that was untenable. Manager/Owners didn’t bother to come up and review/remedy the concern (a health hazard) and refused to accommodate another room in what appeared to be an otherwise (than me) unoccupied property, which they lied about. Substandard lodgings. Beware.

It was a very hot day when I arrived at the Budge in 1 1/2 hour before check-in. I had hoped I could check in early but was told that even though the room was ready, I would need to pay a $10.00 early check in fee. I decided against paying the early check in fee and instead used the money on something to eat at a restaurant across the street while waiting for check-in time. It was an unpleasant experience since I have stayed at several other hotel/motels in Redwood City where I have been able to, not only check-in early many times, but also never been asked to pay an early check-in fee. That, along with another negative experience, made it a not-so-pleasant stay.
