Room & hotel were clean, but there is no staff on site to help with anything. You have to text the AI Concierge to get anything. Parking is not included (extra $10.50/day), no table or chair to sit at, shower is extremely small, bar is too close to the rooms, so very noisy at night. The room was very expensive and not worth the price - there are no amenities to make it worth what we paid. Would never stay here again.

Amazing little place with a fantastic speakeasy on the first floor. Beautiful dark midnight blue on midnight blue colored rooms. Extremely pleasant room hubs was very happy. A bit odd that all check in is remote and you are given a passkey that will be on your phone so I always had to take my phone with. But it told you everything via email and texts, except where to park. (Park in the employee parking area near the speakeasy or in the alley tucked up to the hotel.

Loved my stay here. The rooms were clean and stylish. The bed was very comfortable. The cocktail bar in the Hotel was very cool with very friendly staff. Parking was easy. Check-in was easy. You can walk to a bunch of fun and delicious restaurants. Excellent space!

I've impressed how much downtown Grand Junction has improved since I started visiting as a kid. The street art can be impressive. I'm also glad to see this hip hotel be a part of the evolution of the downtown and the bar is fun after a long day. I visited the hotel while taking care of sick relative at a nearby hospital. I'm not a fan of digital check-In but the process was smooth and they responded right away. My issue is acoustics (I'm sure this has been written before) and the bar should figure out a way to make an air space/vestibule from the hotel corridor. Also I think the rooms should be serviced each night of your stay.

We tried this hotel on a whim not knowing what to expect. We were impressed from the beginning. Cute,hip cocktail bar had the best two bartenders (Karina and Jack) that offered suggestions for dinner. They gave this place a charm and loads of warmth. If you are looking for a fun night with someone special or a girls weekend, this is your place. It doesn’t have a ton of amenities like a lobby or workout facilities but I have mentioned the bar?!!!? lol In all seriousness, I loved being able to walk downtown grand junction for dinner and shopping. I loved the historical feel of this boutique hotel, and appreciated the tasteful remodel that gave modern vibes.

The property is gorgeous and clean. Very nice area and walkable to a lot of bistro, coffee, houses, cafés, pubs in the main street area. Very quaint area. Super simple check in and check out. We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay there again.

Our room was very clean and nicely decorated. The downside was the room was very small. There wasn’t a chair to sit in. The bathroom was impossible to fix your hair and put make up on. The sink didn’t have a ledge to set your items on. I ended up using the window ledge. The beds weren’t very comfortable. We didn’t go to the cocktail bar, but it looked very nice.

Lovely property. I'm very much a hotel "snob" if you will, very particular and analytical and while there are a few things i would change, overall it's a very impressive, small hotel with a comfortable, clean, room with thoughtful in room amenities. I would stay here again and I would recommend this property. FYI, it took maybe 5 or 6 attempts to check in, for some reason it kept giving me an error code related to storage but it wasn't my storage on my phone it was an error from the site. Finally it suddenly worked.

Charming boutique hotel right downtown Grand Junction, easy walk to Main Street to shopping, bars & restaurants. The hotel is accessed by your online phone app, no lobby, and it all worked out very smoothly. The only employees we saw, were the bartenders in their cute corner bar. All brand new, super clean, friendly.

Really loved this boutique hotel, apart from the heavy perfume of the room. The smell was overwhelming. However, in terms of interior design, they did pay a great deal of attention to the little details, providing a very posh environment. But keep in mind two things: it’s a very small hotel and we had a very small room, with dark paint colors making it feel even smaller; and then there is a bar practically right outside of the rooms, but thankfully that shuts down at 9pm. Otherwise the sound would be as overwhelming as the smells. But it was very clean and thoughtful. Not a bad experience at all. Would recommend, especially to extroverted women in their late 30s.

Room 107, the street light shines perfectly through the tiny crack around the window shade directly into the eye of the person sleeping on the left side of the bed. Luckily there was a long decorative pillow that could be stood in the window to block the light. Also the little green light on the ceiling is pretty annoying. And the noise from the bar is loud enough to require earplugs. Otherwise the room was spectacular. Very clean and comfy. The giant mirror was fun.

The room did not have a desk which was represented. It had a kitchen and a large area for a table, but no table. I could barely turn around in the shower and only had a rain shower head for the water which was not acceptable to my wife. The lobby bar was during our stay. Overpriced for the service.

i am used to staying at the traditional chain hotels, and decided to try something different for this trip. It was nice that I booked everything online, and that I received a link for the mobile credentials. The room (Single queen) was a little smaller than I was used to, but it was very clean and well appointed. I liked the mini-fridge with a separate freezer compartment, and the counter sink was a nice have. I really did not like not having a place to sit other than the bed, as this made it difficult to work. A couple of things that also made me decide not to re-book when I had to extend my trip was the noise from the bar, the lack of identified parking, and how strange it felt to not have anyone onsite when I checked in.

It’s all powered by phone & text, no receptionist which was actually kind of nice! And doesn’t make you download an app like other no contact hotels. Make sure you have an ID because it will request a picture of your ID and a selfie. Our only issue was there were ZERO tables to put bags, hygiene bags in bathroom, or food on. Could use a thin table under the tv. Great details, well painted and decorated, very kitschy, lowkey hipster place. The bar downstairs with the pretentious hipster bartender and a few locals really topped it off for us 😂 and brought some life to the otherwise human-less establishment.

One thing that should be noted is that this hotel is handled entirely, virtually. After we checked in online, we were sent a key app. The issue with this, was that it would not load unless you were using WiFi, which we did not have access to. Luckily, the bar was open and we were able to get the password. The app worked the first evening, but in the morning, it would not work at all. I later found out that the server that handles the app was down. I was able to text the issue and was given a code to use on a lock box so that I could get to a fob. All of this and other issues were handled by texting. There is no one at the hotel to talk with. We also went through 3 coffee makers until we got one that worked. I will say that the person I texted with was always very helpful. Anyway, I imagine this is the wave of the future for hotels. Not my thing, but the room was clean and bartenders were great!

Loved my stay here. The rooms were clean and stylish. The bed was very comfortable. The cocktail bar in the Hotel was very cool with very friendly staff. Parking was easy. Check-in was easy. You can walk to a bunch of fun and delicious restaurants. Excellent space!

We loved the decor of this stylish boutique hotel. However, we struggled with the digital check in - a mixture of user error and a system they admitted wasn’t Expedia-friendly when two-rooms are booked together. Thankfully a manager met us at the property, gave us real keys (with a warning that we’d be charged $50 if we lost them) and free cocktails as compensation for the stress. Probably not a good bet for anyone who isn’t technically adept.

The Hotel Melrose was a super fun, modern stay in a long line of hotels on our road trip. While the staff was not onsite, they were responsive and helpful when I couldn't find a light switch late in the evening. We will definitely visit again.

Charming boutique hotel right downtown Grand Junction, easy walk to Main Street to shopping, bars & restaurants. The hotel is accessed by your online phone app, no lobby, and it all worked out very smoothly. The only employees we saw, were the bartenders in their cute corner bar. All brand new, super clean, friendly.

Absolutely wonderful stay at the Melrose! This hotel has been beautifully renovated and the location is fantastic for walking downtown to shops and restaurants. The beds are extremely comfortable and the shower was great. The Melrose Spirit Co. is hands down one of the best cocktail bars in town. We stopped in every night of our stay and tried something new and everything was delicious! Plus it just has a great vibe. We come to GJ several times a year and this will definitely be our go to place to stay from now on!

It was nice. No Chairs period. Only one nite stand. If we return will probably get a more expensive room. Our basic needs were met but seating was an issue that really took away from our enjoyment. Never dawned on me to confirm seating even Hotel 6 has chairs. Great location to Avalon Theater and Thomas Hunn Jewelers. Not sure about the memory foam beds. They don’t sit well.

Cute,hip cocktail bar had the best two bartenders (Karina and Jack) that offered suggestions for dinner. They gave this place a charm and loads of warmth. It doesn’t have a ton of amenities like a lobby or workout facilities but I have mentioned the bar?!!!? lol In all seriousness, I loved being able to walk downtown grand junction for dinner and shopping. I loved the historical feel of this boutique hotel, and appreciated the tasteful remodel that gave modern vibes.

I'm spending five months in hotels this year and this was the only one I've had a problem checking into. If the bartender wasn't there I would not have got in. I checked all day for a message with instructions. Every other hotel send messages even though you don't need it. This place you need it. So you have to send a picture of your driver's license and all credit card details to a guy in India. The guy took a break so I couldn't get through, but I was told the fob would work. It didn't so I was locked out. The bartender called the guy and couldn't get through either. Every other hotel without a front desk sent me codes or instructions without sending all my credit card data and ID to India. Plus they actually sent messages before I got there. Anyway. Big room, soft bed, ear plugs given so not sure about staying there on weekend.
