Small rooms but very comfortable. Very friendly and helpfull staff. Amazing location and at a great price. They have their own restaurant with great Turkish cuisine. This hotel is a 10/10.

Not worth the Money!!They did not honour the free self parking. Sent me to the overpriced priced Otto park that they recommend. Found out during the stay while walking around I was overcharged. Breakfast is mundane and limited. Restaurant is over rated food wasn’t that great for what they charge.

I wished it would've had a sauna like advertised !

Great place to stay with it's own restaurant and great location for walking everywhere. Had everything we needed and was clean and tidy.

The hotel was very communicative from the moment we booked. Our room was spacious and in nice condition (we chose a King Suite). The gent at reception recommended and organised Turkish bath and boat cruise for us (which we would normally do independently). The restaurant downstairs is very convenient and the 20% off was appreciated. Breakfast was varied each day and the gent serving tea and coffee was very friendly. Few minutes walk to the big mosques and tram stops, as well as the waterfront. Few watchouts : 1, the private indoor hot tub is a bath, 2, the restaurant will charge £8ish for olives and bread whether you touch the olives or not (bread was too yummy to leave!) And 3, the Turkish bath was very naked for women, not for men (previously i have worn swimmies). Istanbul is fabulous and has many different districts worth a tram ride. We had an amazing visit. Last thank you to Senatus - we had an illness incident in the night and they were very helpful! Good to have 24H reception!

Overall a great hotel with a convenient location for a short stay. Right by Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. Team was great. A bummer that Hotels.com listing mentions free parking when the hotel doesn't have any and parking was a challenge for our local friend who was showing us around. Also the taxi they arranged for us pulled a normal scam on us. We knew better but took the risk and the taxi driver refused to accept our card payment. So just don't be dumb like us and your will be fine. Bed was super comfortable, free breakfast was delicious, hotel was clean. A bit noisy since it's right in the heart of a tourist area with lots of restaurants.

The location is ideal. The restaurant has good food and very pleasant staff.

The staff at this hotel are really amazing. The front desk is so helpful. The hotel is very conveniently located near blue mosque and Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace. Our room wasn't the cleanest and there was mold growing in the caulk and grout in the shower. Also, and there's nothing the hotel can do about this, but I wish I had known how noisy the street was going to be. Sultanahmet is loud generally, but this street is particularly loud. The nearby businesses don't stop blaring music until 2am.

Service here is exceptional! Breakfast is great. Hardwood floor had gaps where dirt collects. I recommend replacing floors. Baseboards are filthy. Bathroom was clean. Bedding was clean with exception of spread which we took off the bed and put in closet. All in all it was great for the value.

Very happy with this hotel. Clean rooms which were maintained daily. Fridge and tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Excellent shower. Staff wonderful and very welcomjng. Would recommend without hesitation. Very quick walk to Blue Mosque and ideally placed for transport.

Not everyday room service,never changed bed staff, never replaced soap,towels…..

Was close to all the attractions in the old city. The hotel was clean, comfortable and staff were very courteous and helpful.

Le point fort de cet hôtel est l'emplacement. Beaucoup de sites accessibles à pied. Les points négatifs c est le personnel peut aimable on a toujours l impression de les déranger. Un seule information que j ai demandé c est où se trouve un bureau de change et la personne m'envoie a plus d un kilomètre de l hôtel alors qu,il y en avaitun a 100 mètres plus loin. Pour le petit déjeuner il aurait été bien si les aliments étaient chaud. Le ménage moyen : moisissure dans la douche. Le pire c est la vue de notre suite de luxe: un grand mur donc la chambre toujours sombre. Hôtel moyen qui ne correspond pas trop a la description sur le site. Peux avoir mieux pour le même prix.

Vi valde ekonomirum pga vi sov bara över. Rummet var 13 kvadrat och räckte för oss. Rummet och badrum var rena och fräscha. Rumstädning var varje dag. Personalen var underbar och tillmötesgående. Underbart vistelse....

Great location with walking distance to Blue Mosque and other sites. Lots of restaurants and shopping close by. The only negative is it’s a very busy noisy street so hard to sleep as hotel is above the restaurant. Restaurant was fantastic

The property was close to attractions and shops, roads were cobbly. Bed was comfy, there was a toilet but you could see into side , curtains might have been more better and discrete. A lovely spacious room with air conditioning.

Lovely hotel centrally located. Very clean and staff friendly and helpful. Bed was hard. Balcony had dead pot plants and was very dirty. Loud music playing 3 doors down to 1pm each night. Had to sleep with a pillow over my ear to block out the noise.

The hotel is in a great location, just couple of minutes walk to Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque. It is 3* hotel. The room was really small, but luckily we were out most of the time so didn't mind that. The breakfast buffet was bit limited to our taste, but it depends on everyone's taste.

Great location if you want to go to the big two mosques. Hotel is very lowkey and quiet. Guy at the front is nice. The double room is tiny but okay if you are going with a close friend or family member, someone you are comfortable with. Room was clean. Was a little depressing vibe because it seemed like we were the only ones there and lighting was dim.

I booked this property specifically because their balcony rooms were reasonably priced compared to other properties in the area. When I arrived on a very hot day in Istanbul, the AC in the balcony room was unable to keep up with demand. I occupied the room for one night however as I was due to stay there for a week I couldn't continue in that room as the temperature in the room never got below 29c (84 Fahrenheit). I brought my concern to hotel management and they were very responsive offering me numerous options. In the end I chose to downgrade to a room on a lower floor where the AC worked much better. The hotel is in a great location, tons of dining options right at the doorstep. Housekeeping did a good job, the rooms were always clean, although both rooms I occupied may be due for a deep clean as there were signs of mold in the showers. Breakfast offering not the best but was sufficient. I deducted two stars from the overall rating due to the disappointment of not being able to comfortably occupy the balcony room and also due to the refund I was offered. I was given a 20euro refund which doesn't seem consistent with the prices I see on Orbitz/Expedia (the price difference seems more in the range of $30 per night, and I was booked there for a week, so the 20euro refund I received just seems arbitrary).

The staff at this hotel are top-notch! Every single person that we interacted with was pleasant and helpful, no matter the question or conversation. They helped us book excursions, called for taxis, offered lots of tips to help us keep from getting scammed. On our last day, when we needed to get picked up for the airport, there was a traffic issue and NOBODY was moving. They called around to ensure that there was a way for us to get to the airport and make our flight. We booked the balcony room and it was great. There is a table and chairs for us to sit and enjoy the fresh air; though we spent very little time up there, it was nice to have it available and useful. The room was a nice and had a great shower with a jacuzzi tub. The only downside was that the bed was a bit firm for our liking. But, if that is the only issue, then it's not really that much of an issue.

Comfortable spacious and pretty quiet room given the location in a very touristy street. Staff at the front desk were very helpful with advice and assisting with booking a boat tour and airport transfers.

Excellent staff. They arranged a breakfast-to-go when our flight was scheduled before breakfast hours. Very friendly and knowledgeable. They were also very accommodating with our luggage anrriving earlier than check in.

Staff were super accommodating from the moment we booked our stay. They almost immediately reached out to let us know they could help arrange airport transfers(for a reasonable cost) as well as help with any kind of tour bookings or excursions. They were very welcoming and knowledgeable of the area. Location was perfecr, lots of historical sights nearby and lots of late night food and drink options. Our group had such a good experience, and I can't emphasize enough how accommodating the staff were. They definitely showed us the true definition of Turkish hospitality even before our stay. Id also like to ad that some of the Tout's in the area can be VERY pushy(this is to be expected if you want to stay within close proximity to the historical sites), but the area in front of the hotel and attached restaraunt youll have breakfast at are a hassle free zone, and they make a point of enforcing it. They offer hookah as well. We had an early morning flight(before restaraunt opened), and the kind gentleman at the front desk even made sure we had sandwhiches to go since we'd be missing the complimentary breakfast when we got on our shuttle to the airport Overall, finding this place was such a blessing for us. We booked last minute after canceling our reservation at ciragan palace due to some last minute emergency vet bills and life events, and the location, service, and price really couldnt be beat.

I stayed at Senatus hotel during April 23 to 28 and May 5 to May 6, 2023. The location is quite close to the main Haga Sophia and Blue mosque, probably 8-10 minutes’ walk, which is a big plus for anyone, who want to visit the main attractions on his/her own, and any time. I was pleasantly surprised when my room was upgraded without asking . The room was of decent size, and was cleaned daily, with expected amenities. If everything else is the same between different hotels then service is the differentiating feature. This is where Senatus excelled. Mr.Ismail and Hasan were two main personnel, who I dealt with and were extremely helpful for guidance. Mr.Ismail prepared my itinerary within a day for multiple cities. However, the act that made me say “ You have bought me” was his relentless efforts to arrange a physician’s visit with necessary tests and treatment, within few hours, when I became acutely ill. It was a time-sensitive issue as I had to leave for an extended tour the next day, otherwise I had to cancel the entire tour, or send my wife alone. In addition, he arranged transport for my wife whose departure was few hours later than mine, for a reasonable fee. If you are not looking for an extravagant place to stay with bells and whistles and want a great service experience, consider this hotel for your stay; safe, reasonable price with decent breakfast and excellent service.

We stayed at the Senatus Hotel from 20 Jul 24 to 26 Jul 24. The staff was excellent and friendly. The breakfast was included and we liked it. Most of the attractions were within walking distance and had many dining options. The train station was also within walking distance, this would save a lot of money as you don't need a taxi to move around the city. One must take the Bosphorus Cruise option from the hotel, it's worth it. We enjoyed our trip and thank you staff of Senatus Hotel especially Hasan.

We loved the staff. Ishmael and the other managers bent over backwards to make us comfortable. They were so friendly and helpful. Recommended and organized a sunset cruise around the Bosphorus for $20 euro each. Fabulous. The next day we had a private tour with Sait who was so terrific. $100 euro each. We had vip entrance to the underground cistern system which was unbelievable. Also Hagia Sophia and blue mosque, spice market, metro system and a first class authentic lunch in the old city. We picked this hotel by chance and were so very very pleased. Highly recommend.

Senatus hotel is located in a very convenient location for walking to lots of tourist attractions. We loved it and will coke back again.

Great location for a first time visitor to Istanbul.

Excellent location, close to key attractions in Istanbul. Hotel rooms were clean, spacious and regularly serviced during my 1 week stay. Lots of dining options close by, and really easy to hail a cab, or walk 10 mins to get to the T1 tram.

The hotel was clean and the staff very friendly. The breakfast was very good as were many of the restaurants nearby. It is walking distance to many sights, Blue Mosque, Topkapi castle, spice market and several other small markets.

Good location for travelers, very near to the Topkapi Palace and Blue Mosque. Walking distance to the Grand Bazar ... Overall great place to stay for site explorers.
