Gateway Hotel and Suites

This was a second and final chance for this hotel. Our first experience was a dirty hotel room. We spoke with the manager who apologized (only after my husband left an honest review), and offered us a refund and a complimentary stay. We decided to give them another chance, with one night free and one night on us. The room was clean, which was a better experience, however we had no hot water. When we were using the washroom sink we had cool water, no mater how long we ran the tap. It was late at night so we stayed our first night as we only needed the sink water, we hoped the water would be hot after all night. When my husband went to shower in the morning it was cold. Taps were both cold still. I advised the front desk worker before checkin time for the second night as to give them time to find a solution. The timing was intentional so we could checkout if no reasonable resolution found. We were out of the room until around 10:30pm and I hadn't heard so I assumed the issue was resolved, as we needed showers. I asked the night clerk and she said the note left was the taps were just backwards. Which was not the case, I tried both hot and cold taps and left them running for 10-15 minutes each. Moving rooms wasn't offered at this point, nor was any other solution. At our wits end, we decided to just check out and go home, we needed hot showers. No true solution was given, we were charged for a full night stay despite checking out due to a hotel issue, yet again. 0/10!

Spotless. Pub on site quick check in. Drove my car to the front door.

Room was absolutely filthy, bathroom disgusting, shower not cleaned, beds not changed!!!! Didn’t even stay there. Ended up changing hotels at 1am

Staff were so rude and would do nothing to make you feel like a guest. Very non accommodating. Our room keys never worked. The pub was never open. The beds are so small. No elevator. It was terrible.

The room was clean. We basically needed a place to sleep after a function. Checked in late afternoon and headed out to our function. Got back to the room after 1am so the drive-up entrance was great so as to not disturb other guests. The bed was very comfortable and there was very little noise. We checked out early the next morning. Will definitely stay here again.
