Courtyard by Marriott Boston Cambridge

Nice hotel, parking expensive but hotel is centrally located. Nice continental breakfast. Room was clean but dated; bathroom needs updating. Very slow elevator service.

We were informed that our room rate had an additional $35/day fee added for the breakfast, which was non-refundable and definitely not worth it. Inadequate seating at breakfast. Corridors and lobby freezing temperatures, but some rooms had some ability to adjust. Parking was convenient and available for an outrageous price. Adequate bed, bath, everything worked except window curtains, which didn't quite close. Nice and quiet on our floor. Single king room was fine. So-called "suite" for 3 people was absurdly cramped. N8ce staff.

Small parking area that charges $45 a day. Very clean room. Overall 4 stars.

Check-in was smooth and quick. There is a parking garage which charges $45 a day for hotel guests which isn’t terrible to ensure your vehicle is safe. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. We were a family of four and did not feel like we were on top of one another. I would stay here again.

The hotel stay was nice but there are so many "extra" expenses you don't expect. Destination charge of $32 a day, $45 a day to park, & no free breakfast. Added over $200 extra for a 3 night stay & there was no pool. Our room did have a wonderful view.

Gym equipement poor condition, even some are broken. Grab & Go section logistic to be reorganize. Pricing confusion. Employee wearing there personal clothes, at least consider a minimal uniform.

Great location and very clean! Loved that they had a couple of kayaks and bikes available to use. At first we thought we were going to have to drive to a rental location but were pleasantly surprised when they were available. Able to get a light breakfast with the required hotel resort fee.

Parking was $45.00 per night - a bit steep!

Dirtiest Marriott we've ever stayed in. Should have stayed at the Hilton across the river. Was the same price and infinitely nicer and had a pool. The lobby at the Marriott was gross and not one single seat was clean

Staff members need to clean lobby area and elevator better. Love marriot hotels but clearly they are not taken care of the same as the one we stayed at the second night of our trip.

After a long day of traveling we were greeted with such kindness from ASHEAKA and her fellow co worker. Answered all of our questions and was so very kind and a pleasure to see everyday of our stay. The rooms were clean, spacious, and I loved there smell of soaps. The hotel as you walk in smelt so fresh especially with all the people going in and out. Convenient spot in Cambridge. We walked into Boston from there and late at night we walked to the gas station for snacks. Felt safe enough and you see other people walking to since it’s near Harvard. House keeping came everyday and that was so nice to have fresh towels everyday. We would definitely choose this place again in a heartbeat. And it would be a plus if we were dealing with the same front desk staff.

Clean large room with great views and comfortable bed. A great place to comfortably wind down after a 6 day tour of Cape Cod.

The hotel staff was very friendly. The view of the Charles River was beautiful. The room was clean but some of the paint was peeling in the bathroom and the window curtains need to be replaced. I would stay there again.

The carper of the end of hallway is always wet, I don’t know why. Maybe down from the ceiling, everytime when I make up in front of mirror, my slippers will get wet. Don’t like it.

The sink was dirty and clogged. They gave deceiving information about the breakfast vouchers and said the vouchers were optional and if not used they would reimburse the money, and on the last day when we returned them they informed us the vouchers were non refundable and had been charged (96$)

The hotel room was old and needed updating. The billing invoice was confusing. Overall it was not a place where I will stay again.

The location was good. The hotel and room were clean and well maintained. The only downside was that our room was adjacent to the service elevator which sent clunks and squeals through the walls for hours on end, disrupting our sleep. It woke us up for good at 4:30 on our first night, bothering everyone in our suite. We bought earplugs for our second night, but the noise was loud enough that it didn't make much of a difference. We did our best to sleep through it. In retrospect, we should have asked to move rooms for the seond night. Would have given this hotel 5 stars if we were able to get a good night's sleep.

The hotel seemed great in all ways, unfortunately it was an unseasonably hot day/night and the air conditioning in our room wasn’t working so the temperature was uncomfortably warm.

Beds and furniture were extremely firm and uncomfortable. You could literally stand on both the beds and the chairs and neither would give. It was like sleeping on a rock it was so hard that the floor might have been softer.

I had checked in online, so everything would be fast when I got there. I arrived, got the key, went up to the assigned room & the key wouldn't work. After returning to the desk & getting new keys, returned to the room with a staff member & he couldn't get in, either. Turns out the room was occupied by someone else. Not good.

Came up to Boston for family stay the staff was amazing. My son is on dialysis and they had all of his boxes ready for him when we arrived made the trip seamless.

The only thing I didn't like is that they wouldn't store my 1 bag for a few hours after checkout since my plane didn't leave until 6pm. That was inconvenient. I would've stayed somewhere else just to gain that time back.

The front desk always has a smile and helping hand. Very pleasant stay. Changed my room without hesitation making our 10 day stay very enjoyable.

Service was exceptional. The staff were friendly, helpful and courteous. The only problem was with the heating in the room, but the staff were very responsive and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

We got there around 3pm and could not check in due to a storm that came through town prior to our arrival. We were unable to get a working room key until about 8pm. Everyone had to wait in lobby until they figured out why the system was not working.

As a consultant who has stayed in many hotels, domestically and internationally; and regardless of the rating of a hotel, it has been my experience the one thing you cannot control is the caliber of the staff. The staff here is a cut above the rest. They know exactly what to do, in any and every situation. Across the board, they all display a wonderful hospitable demeanor—and as a result, you enjoy a memorable and unforgettable experience. I was in the city for a very challenging situation, it was about 0 degrees outside, but you would never know it. There was an exceptional Japanese restaurant on the main floor, and the warm, healthy food was just what was needed to offset the weather outside. The same could be said for the other onsite excellent restaurant that provided the morning breakfast. My room had a view of the Charles River, and it snowed so that made the view even more beautiful. I was perfectly pleased. This staff went above and beyond (in a number of ways) to ensure I had a perfect stay. Every time I returned to the hotel after a taxing day; I was ‘delightfully restored.’ Any time—and every time—you travel to Boston; this is the only place you need for a hotel stay. Hope you agree the staff is what makes a hotel memorable, and the staff here is their differentiated value proposition. They have been well-trained, and they know hospitality. They go well beyond what you might need for an uplifting and unforgettable stay. Enjoy your stay in Boston.

On the river with nice walking/ jogging paths. 25 min walk to Fenway

Japanese restaurant is quite excellent. Friendly staff and room was very clean. Only 20 min walk to Harvard Square.

Easy access in Cambridge to a walk by the river & to Boston

This hotel is within a short walking distance to Harvard University and MIT. Driving to the Boston Museum of Fine Arts took 15 minutes, and to the Isabella Stewart Garden Museum about 9 minutes.There was always parking at the hotel. It offers warm and delicious breakfast with a variety of choices. There’s also free coffee during the day. The staff was wonderful and informative, my hat off to Ms. Sandra, she was very informative and helpful. Ms. Sandra was always at the reception morning and evening. I will certainly stay at the Courtyard by Marriott in Cambridge again.

Very convenient location for Harvard, MIT and Boston visitor.

The room was quiet, with a great river view. No issues with any equipment. Great shower. Friendly hotel staff and good daily housekeeping service. The only drawback was no transit close by. We used rideshare services everywhere. But there is a great Japanese restaurant right off the lobby, and the in-house cafe had an excellent breakfast bar.

The location was absolutely perfect for us in an area that was very walkable. Lots of restaurant options close and the restaurant/bar in the hotel was convenient. The staff was VERY friendly and very kindly said yes to our early check in request. The room was clean and comfortable. My only suggestion would be more/better lighting in the bathroom and the addition of an exhaust fan. Overall a fantastic choice that I am positive we will return to!!!

Clean property and close to campus

The hotel is just a bit over a mile (walking distance) from Harvard Square, MIT. Also, there are two supermarkets, shops, and other restaurants right around the block.

It's in a great location, and the staff is so nice. It's convenient for Cambridge, MA universities and at a reasonable price level.

Fixtures and fittings in the rooms were a little tired, but the staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was strange. Quite a limited buffet, with only plastic cutlery to try and eat it with. Quite expensive for what it was.

The property wasnt in the best condition. It had some mediocre repairs done like painted bathtub, poorly patched wallpaper, and a burn hole.in the furniture. They also charged $20 for a "breakfast buffet" which would be considered a standard continental breakfast at any other hotel.

The towels were thin ,rough and awful! The only restaurant in the hotel was Terrible and Only Japanese food The breakfast food was poor and there wasn’t any place after 10 am to buy water or anything .. snacks asprin Etc We have stayed in Other Marriott Courtyards that were great and superior in every way ..especially in Miami

Staff was very helpful during my stay. The in house Japanese Restaurant was fantastic! Usual breakfast fare was adequate. Rooms were spotless and very comfortable beds!
