The elevator I was on got stuck. I was in it for 10 minutes before maintenance got me out. They could have offered me something (breakfast voucher, drink), but only water. The safety lock on my room door was missing the other half, so it was useless. The AC in my room was loud and did not cool very well. The area is good, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, but overall not a good experience.

Everything was excellent except for the exit/entry rear door. We had an event to attend and got back to the hotel at 11 p.m., parked near the rear entry and couldn't get back in.....had to walk all the way around to the front entry. Most hotels have a room key entry but this one did not.

Dated hotel that could use a refresh. Shower and sink did not drain well. The tub would fill With standing water as you showered. Mismatched appliances in the room. Windows were very dirty. The bed was not comfortable as the mattresses were not very cushioned. Front end staff was pleasant with check in/out being quick. Parking was sufficient.

The place is fine. I wasn't happy about how clean the bathroom was at my arrival. There were hairs in the sink and on the toilet which made question how clean the rest of the room was. I guess I didn't get lucky with the location of the room either, on one side of the hotel the only view you get from your window is of a lower roof of the hotel. I thought Holiday Inn was a good chain to stay at. It was rated 8/10 and not cheap place to stay at for the weekend. I won't be staying there again

I travelled to Tennessee for work and stayed 2 nights at here. The room had a terrible mildew smell and in attempt to cover up the smell they had laundry scent beads in the air unit, it looked like there was blood on the curtain and air unit, and just generally not clean at all. I would not recommend.

The lobby is beautiful. The rooms are very outdated. Had to search for outlets. We were only provided two towels. The closet door was broken. The ac took all night to get cooler and was extremely loud. The rooms need updating. The hotel itself was quiet.

Room was small and not near as updated as the main entrance. The place looks awesome when you arrive. The headboard of the bed was on the same wall as the elevator and you could hear it plainly every time it was used. It was used much more than I would have ever thought,all hours of the night. Not a pleasant stay for $200/night.

The room was clean. The lobby and other facilities were clean. The staff was fairly friendly. My big problem is that I prepaid through Expedia -- and then the check-in clerk acknowledged this -- but then the hotel put a "hold" on my debit card and ended up charging me full price for the room, after the hotel records should have noted the room was prepaid for. This would have been a bigger problem if my checking account became overdrawn, but fortunately it did not. Now I am trying to get a refund through the hotel via IHG customer service, offshore with poor connections, and have been promised the hotel will contact me within 48 hours. I also disputed the charge through my bank. Moving to other matters, while the $5 surcharge for the breakfast bar was reasonable, it was not the "full service" breakfast the restaurant hostess claimed. Full service means fresh coffee is brought to the table and the table is cleaned. This was not the case. I have stayed at many, many hotels and I know what "full service" is. It does not mean having to walk across to the lobby to get stale coffee myself. The self-service breakfast bar selection, on the other hand, was adequate. I feel that IHG has cut this hotel's staff and amenities to the bone. The staff, while friendly, were a little clueless about what hotel hospitality means. The rooms don't even have USB ports for charging phones and iPads. I had to go to the two public-use computers in the lobby to find a charging port. C'mon, it's 2023!

The front office staff was anything but helpful. We were double charged for our room and told too bad- take it up with somebody in billing the morning. When we addressed it with the front desk in the morning, not only did they not fix their error, we ended up with a third charge for the hotel room. I’m giving them 48 hours to get it fixed, but we will never stay at this hotel again and they need to provide training for customer service staff.

I enjoyed how quiet it was during the entire stay. The breakfast was okay, but nothing to write home about. The TV cut on but the cable never came on.There was a vent cover knocked down under the sink in the bathroom that made it seem like something might crawl out of there at any moment. The room was a little dated, but overall served its purpose.

We were initially placed in the wrong room, which was an inconvenience. We also paid $100 more than we had for a room at a hotel in Lexington, yet our room overlooked a roof, and the air conditioning was inconsistent, leaving the room either too cold or uncomfortably humid. We paid the additional $35 pet fee, which I felt was reasonable, but unfortunately, we were placed next to a room with a barking dog. Overall, given the cost and the issues we experienced, the stay was definitely not worth the money.

I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the property was. The lobby was very modern and spacious. The room was easy to access and comfortable. The rooms could use updating, but it was clean and comfortable, with nothing broken. We needed to change rooms, and the staff made it happen quickly and conveniently. The bartender was a rockstar!. I didn't look at other amenities, so I cannot comment on the gym or pool, etc.; the internet was fast and consistent. I have been travelling to the Johnson City area for 30-40 years, and this is by far the best hotel I have stayed at there and will every time I am back.
