We love Carnegie hotel. It’s so close to ETSU we don’t want to stay anywhere else when visiting Johnson city. It truly gives boutique hotel vibes. We love the gift shop. They truly have great items there and the restaurant is fantastic.

Nice hotel with some historic charm. The staff was friendly and nice. Overall a nice place to stay, but unless you have something to do at the ETSU campus, it is too close to all of the students, the traffic and noise for my personal preference. The bar is great! The restaurant is adequate, but they need to work on their seasoning overall.

We ordered an accessible room. Spacificly Upon arrival. We had to ask for a walk in shower. They had booked them all. So we ended up in a room on the ground floor in the front side of the building. The traffic was loud and lasted up to three - four o’clock in the morning. There didn’t seem to be any sound proofing to the room. We could also hear people talking in the hall and lobby till late in the night. The bathroom was large and had lots of room. For someone with a wheelchair. I guess. The shower was large and open with a shower chair I enjoyed. But the water leaked out onto the floor. I had to use towels to keep the floor from being slipperyThe sink was a single bowl with no cabinet and seemed to hang off the wall. I was concerned with it coming loose. It didn’t. The front desk gave us a round wooden table. So I didn’t have to put my bath supplies on the floor. This hotel isn’t cheep. Therefore I expected better. We also spent quite a bit in the dinning room. They have a limited menu unfortunately. Parking was also an issue. Everyday we went out. Only to come back to no place to park. We had to keep going out to check on an empty spot. They had a gathering in the lobby to show appreciation to the staff. Which is mostly young and healthy. The staff parked in the spaces for customers. Instead of the parking garage that was located just behind the hotel which created an additional parking issue. The noise from the gathering could also be heard in the hall outside our door
