The staff were nice and friendly. The grounds were unkept with large storage trailers. The Pool was closed and full of green dirty water. The phone in the room was only a plastic shell. The toilet rattled on the floor. The breakfast was basic, the area was clean and the food good. The location was close enough to Route 81 and close enough to the Downtown. It met my needs as a over night stay.

Went to Johnson City for my daughter's graduation from ETSU, Baymont did not ruin the trip, but it certainly didn't make it better. Would not recommend, hotel has no elevator so I have no idea how they are ADA compliant. My mother reserved a first floor room and was told when she got there, she had a 2nd floor room. She has to use a walker to walk, how was she going to get to a 2nd floor room??? Finally after 2-3 hours she was given a 1st floor room like she reserved and should have had from the beginning. My room had the noisiest fridge on the planet. Almost impossible to sleep with it turning on and off all night. Tried to cancel 2nd night on the 8th, website wouldn't let me and manager was no help in resolving the issue. The breakfast was mostly cold and in the dreariest room in the hotel. Will not stay at a Baymont ever again and recommend others stay away too.

We asked for a first floor room when I made the reservation— we were given 2nd floor and there were no elevators. Check in took over 20 minutes. Clerk had to go make sure the room had been cleaned at 7:00 pm. Construction workers stayed there and had several parking spots filled with trailers with equipment on them Sheets on the bed were NASTY! Clerk came up and looked and brought us clean sheets. Fitted sheet didn’t fit the bed. I was tucking in flat sheets at 1:00 in the morning! I stopped at front desk the next morning and the morning clerks were horrified at my news. She assured me it would be taken care of before we returned that night and it was. We have no plans to ever book at Baymont again!

Property was dirty, pool was disgusting it was green and stuff floating in it! The hotel room was okay but barely any plugs to plug anything in! There was two plugs behind the bed that you could only use one because the other was pushed into the wall! The floor was dirty and turned your feet or socks black! There were people hanging outside all night making noise! We originally had three nights we checked out after night one! Wouldn’t recommend pictures are not what they seem!

Great place for the price! The facility is being updated continuously. Most of the rooms are/or getting hard floors instead of the carpet. Fitness room and pool. Laundry facilities work.

The pool was nice. Check-in easy. The air conditioner wasn’t working properly in the room. Good water pressure. Bed was comfortable enough. Didn’t see any bugs or stains on anything. Mini fridge clean and mostly cold. Tv worked. Close to everything. For the price would stay again.

I find it hard to believe that this place is even open for business. Dirty and dated. Broken glass, food on the walls and blood on the sheets. I want a refund. Air conditioning did not work. our first room #416 was treated for bed bugs at least the smell was over powering. We did find bed bugs in the head board of one of the queen beds. We asked to be placed in another room and that one(#404) wasn't much better. We went to the room and the TV was on and bathroom light was on and it appeared that it was occupied. went back to the front desk and told them and the person went with us to the room and found it was unoccupied. this room was also a disaster. the bathroom door was falling off the hinges and the toilet leaked badly at the base when flushed. The toilet got so bad that it wouldn't flush at all. we were supposed to be at this hotel for 6 days but cut is it short as we could not stand it any longer. We contacted hotels.com to modify the length of stay and was on the chat line for 1 hour and 15 minute to get it changed. then the charge per night went from 186.00 per night to 448.00 per night. This was a real shock as i was told on the chat line there was no penalty for early checkout. So would not recommend anyone stay in this hotel and i will never use them again. there customer caring/service absolutely sucks!!!

Can not think of any Hotel Management better than this here at Baymont by Wyndham in Johnson City, TN. Very nice and clean rooms. All the employees we encountered were extremely friendly, courteous, and helpful with any thing we needed and had questions about. Really enjoyed our two night stay. Highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel was nice and clean. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Beds were not very comfortable could feel the springs inside the mattress. We had to complain first night about someone bumping loud music and guy that answered in office asked me what room as if to expect me to go door to door listening for it at midnight. He said he would go check. We stayed 3 nights, and the extremely loud very base heavy music happened everynight we were there even after asking them to rectify situation because we wanted to sleep. The other bad thing is the toilet paper was supposed to be "green" apparently. But it was crispy to the touch, i accidentally used it once and as a female it was very painful. Reminded me of the texture associated to fine grit sand paper. So if you choose this hotel bring your own wipes/toilet paper or risk injury. Our local family turned toilet paper into a joke because it was soooo bad. Other than that it was ok.

The staff wasn’t personable. We were given a room facing the very close busy 5 lane highway at first. We asked for a quieter room. Maybe that’s not possible. When we entered our room, the spray used in the room was so strong,I was choking on it. We had to leave for a while to let it air out. The furniture had not been cleaned. It was dirty and sticky. I spilled a little something on the carpet. Using a rag to clean it up, it was black! Not from what I spilled, but from the carpet not being clean. Is it ever cleaned? There were fans from other rooms we could hear going off and on all night long. The microwave is so old, it doesn’t pop popcorn, it burns it. The refrigerator is so old, it doesn’t keep the drinks cool, even when placed in the teeny, tiny freezer section all night. We were also overcharged for the room. Which we will take up with the 3rd party we made the reservation with. No, we will not stay in a Baymont again. Motel 6 would have been better.

Front desk staff was friendly. Room however was less than desirable. Tried to turn on the lights when 1st walking in and nothing. Thank goodness it was still light out. Went around the room and had to plug in the lights. Balast in the bathroom lighting was humming and you had to play with the switch to get it working. Bed was comfortable and the shower had great water pressure, but walking across the room to get dressed my feet got dirty and had to wash them again to put socks and shoes on.

This place needs a renovation bad. Room was rough. There was a gap in the door to the outside large enough i could see when people walked by. It was just a stop off and sleep for me, but if it would have been multiple days, I would've switched hotels.

There was a used face cloth draped over the shower curtain rail. No microwave provided for the room. Both beds in the room had a polythene mattress protector under the base sheet! The bathroom fan was possibly jammed and obnoxiously loud.

Chelsea at the Front Desk was super friendly, took care of anything we needed during our stay, and overall a wonderful employee. Bubbly personality which made walking into the front lobby wonderful. She is knowledgeable about how hotels operate and what needs to be done on a daily basis for guest. She asked us multiple times if we needed anything and asked our last night how our stay had been. Our room was in the back building on the ground level. Room was clean , air conditioner worked well for our summer time trip. We would stay again and the prices were fair for the room and close to things we needed.

Did not like the fact that the person that was checking me in would not allow me to downsize my trip. Stay by 2 days. Kept blaming everything on Expedia because I booked through Expedia. The desk attendant would not give me a receipt because he said I would obtain one through Expedia. Housekeeping only serviced our room two times in my week stay there. I also requested to be on the first floor due to health issues and I was put on the second floor in the desk. Attendant refused to make adjustments instead said he was upgrading me to the second floor which was very inconvenient due to several health issues that I have. I will not recommend this hotel to anyone. The beds are comfortable and the housekeepers are nice but that's the only good things I have to say about this hotel.

My card was charges 4 times, tgey took care of one and still waiting on others. Never once made beds or cleaned room. They took the dirty towels once and there was 4 if us and they left 2 towels. The breakfast was terrible. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. We travel with travel ball so I would have to think really hard to stay again. HOWEVER, the night manager was so helpful and great customer service.

Check in was supposed to be at 2pm. We got their at 1:50 and cleaning lady wasn't finished cleaning and she just walked off and left her phone vacuum and everything in the room and i went in and complained andbin total it took 50 to get in our room.

Great stay at Baymont in Johnson City, staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was clean and comfortable, only issue was the refrigerator wasn’t working but was fixed right away. I will definitely stay there when I come back to town.

Room was hot with stagnant air upon entering. AC wasn't running took all night to cool down. Our fridge was cut off halfway throughout our stay. Sink and bathtub drains were clogged. My second day we came back from a family trip and we were locked out of our room for over an hour. Nobody was at the service desk to help. Every number available to call nobody answered. Had 2 kids 7 and 3 years old that had to go the bathroom but lobby was also locked up. I usually don't leave reviews but this has been the worst experience staying somewhere. Also haven't been explained to or offered anything for being locked out.

Room smelly. Change towels was missed and we did not have a sign out on our door at all. Breakfast, coffee was out in an hour. They did not check on it and therefore no coffee. They had a person that came in and stacked his plate with 6 eggs, 4 biscuits , 2 bowl of cereal and 4 cups of sugar. Probably a homeless person.

The place is ran by con artists, Julia closed up breakfast 10 minutes early and Kaleem refuses to run the place properly, so sad to see. Would never go back to recommend. There was one woman employee though who was extremely nice and thoughtful and she truly deserves the best. Tried to make every situation better regardless of her brainless employees.
