Lodge and Lantern

What guests think

Travellers describe Lodge and Lantern as a rustic, riverside lodge with very friendly staff, clean, comfortable rooms, and thoughtful in‑room touches like Nespresso machines, smart TVs, and wireless chargers, set within easy reach of town and Kicking Horse.

Several mention ongoing renovations with construction materials in the lobby, though the cozy common areas and 24/7 lobby coffee and tea are appreciated. Rooms are generally comfortable, though some are small, showers can be tight, and noise between rooms or from AC is noted; earplugs are sometimes provided. We probably had the worst room of the hotel, 104, the closest one to the lobby at the ground floor, with the stairs attached to the other side of the wall - light sleepers may want to avoid it. Still we had a good night's rest. The hotel is very affordable, the rooms are well maintained and clean, and there's good coffee available for free 24/7.

Our family had a wonderful stay. We stayed in a loft-style room with two queen beds, which was perfect for us. The shower was a bit small, but still manageable. I really appreciated having a smart TV in the room. Free coffee and tea are available 24/7 in the lobby, which was a nice touch. There’s also a cozy café just a few minutes’ walk from the hotel. The front desk staff and other team members were very friendly and approachable. We would definitely stay here again!

My wife and I just stayed here for one night and found the hospitality was attentive and welcoming. The location is very convenient and provides for a nice walk along the river into town. The room and public areas are very clean and the bed (and linens) are incredibly comfy. We appreciate the new owners have only had the lodge for a couple of months and have plans to make things even better, but as it is, the lodge exceeded our expectations and we would definitely stay here again. We 100% recommended this place.

Tudo.
