What guests think

Across recent stays at Spark By Hilton Montreal Midtown, guests praise clean, comfortable rooms, friendly staff, and convenient underground parking, and say the midtown location works well for hospital visits, nearby restaurants, and city access.

Rooms are modern and spacious but amenities can be basic, with repeated notes about no in-room coffee makers, microwaves, or cups and limited temperature control. Breakfast draws mixed feedback: widely described as continental and sufficient, yet light on hot or gluten free options. However, several guests reported housekeeping lapses, one privacy concern, occasional slow check in, and a building wide hot water outage. Expect a budget friendly stay with simple comforts and practical parking.

Easy parking underground. Decent breakfast continental nothing fancy but you’ll find something. Windows in room don’t open, air is super dry from the heating, I like to be able to have fresh air so this was an issue for me. Otherwise the hotel is great with very friendly and helpful staff.

Initially given Room 132 where I found lots of hair on both beds. Moved to Room 232 which was ok. I did put the privacy sign on check out day and went out for breakfast and when I returned by 10.15am, the room was already entered by the housekeeping staff and cleaned by them which I feel breach of privacy. I did not expect this from a brand like Hilton. Check in staff were excellent. As a hotelier myself, I suggest that the staff need more training on communication between departments and intruding someone's privacy need to be addressed as a serious concern. The interesting part was the "Privacy" sign I had on the door went missing when I returned which shows the room was entered deliberately. Please use my feedback for training and not to reprimand the employee as they are the backbone who don't get appreciated often.

Room was a great size, bed was really comfortable, furnishings were in pretty good condition. No control on the mini fridge. No microwave or in room coffee maker even though there was a whole wet bar like counter completely empty. Staff was all very nice. No GF breakfast options other than apple, banana, or hard boiled egg. Housekeeping missed some obvious things both times I had them in during the stay.

The hotel just opened, old building with new renovations a couple months ago. While the paint and furnishings inside the rooms are new, this is the worst housekeeping team I've EVER encountered—having stayed in 18 countries and over 100 cities including rural areas where I stayed in someone's house. I had to switch the first room after an exhausting 13-hour train ride because the desk and nightstand had not been wiped off since opening. There were various grease and sticky splotches and cup rings of various sizes. The second room, which I asked be shown in advance, was covered in animal hair. The third was OK, however, I had to beg for basic things like replacement towels and shower gel. I'm not sure if some of this hostility is because I am a Black woman, but I would not stay again, it's too tiring to try and communicate for basic things you would expect, even if you were staying with a friend or family member for free.

It’s a horizontal building and long walk from elevators. If you are travelling with elderly then it’s difficult. Be Cautious. I was lucky washroom and bed lights worked. Nothing else worked. Pressure of cold water is less and no strong suction Height restriction in basement for parking.Too many EV chargers which are charged and the one provided by hotel was 18amps should have been 30amps Breakfast was ok kudos to one old lady who does all by herself talking to guests, cleaning the table if it’s dirty and then refilling…wow Summary Toiletries are good, Rooms are clean. Needs improvement in breakfast being in midtown. Need improvement in free EV charging again in midtown Issues need to be addressed immediately not when they have time

Excellent location and about as Central as you’re gonna get for midtown Montréal. Although a converted office building, there are no signs of that as the property was clean and very interestingly designed Could use more staff as the word is out that this is a nice place to stay and I think they were a little overwhelmed. Terrible experience. No hot water in almost the whole building, so we couldn’t shower. We waited all morning, but the problem was never fixed. The front desk kept saying the manager was “on the way,” yet we never saw them, and no compensation was offered. Very disappointing stay.

Mostly, it is not good for quality-price. Should be at least 35% less. Thevroom is ok and fine. The breakfadt was very simpke, bagel, cereal and hard egg(only). Location is fine though. Looks like an old warehouse refurbished as an hotel. Its not that there was something wrong. Its just that, at that price, we were expecting more.
