Rooms were clean the staff was great and the location was very central to UT for the game. The only recommendation would be to have microwaves in the room

I stay in Austin every other weekend and have been staying at the doubletree for some time. It’s a beautiful hotel with very nice, spacious rooms for a very reasonable price… usually. This time however I ended up spending $450 for a 24 hour stay. Yes it was Labor Day weekend and yes there were understandably higher nightly rates but the added charges for parking for and exact figure of $50 (the exact same amount of the incidental hold put on my card) for 24 hours of self parking that isn’t exactly close or convenient is ludicrous especially since it’s never been done before and was not stated until after I checked in. It just rubs me the wrong way to be charged a new charge and not even be told of the policy change until after the fact. Not good business

I had to change rooms due to the AC not working at 3 am. The new room must not have been sealed properly because it was very humid and damp in the room and the AC struggled. 3 of the 5 lamps in the room did not work either.
