What guests think

At Lakeview Inns & Suites - Edson Airport West, guests highlight clean rooms, friendly staff, good value, and a hot breakfast with extras like evening soup and 24/7 coffee, but note dated areas, no elevator, mixed breakfast quality, and noise.

Travellers also appreciated practical touches like ample parking, guest laundry, and a patio BBQ. Common areas and maintenance drew occasional criticism, including dirty stairs, worn carpets, and minor building issues. The location just off the highway near the airport is convenient for road trips and as a base for visiting Jasper. Overall, expect a no-frills stay with reliable basics.

Single serve coffee, latte machine and a wide selection of cold cereals. The property is well maintained and the staff very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again in Edson.

Room keys didn’t work so we had to go back and get them redone. Bed sheets were dirty. Hallway rugs filthy. Arrived late and too tired to do anything about it except sleep on top of towels. Breakfast included was poor (seriously baked beans, no eggs, fresh fruit - a first for us) so we just left. Not sure where they get the 8.6 star average reviews proudly displayed on their front desk as nothing about the place warranted that. Our expectations were low considering we booked on short notice due to an accident delaying us three hours. Very disappointing!

This property is aged and shows it. Thinning carpet and no elevator. Sidewalk is leaning and parking lines are all but invisible. The feather pillows are past their prime and being stuffed into smaller pillowcases to shore them up, there are no usb outlets in the room, and the bathroom sink was all scratched up. Worst of all was the breakfast offerings. We didn't try the baked beans, but the hash brown patties were rubbery, the scrambled eggs dry, and the sausage links tough. On the good side, the staff is friendly, the beds are firm, the rooms have been painted fairly recently, housekeeping is good, and the juice machine offers POG(passion fruit, orange, and grapefruit)! Yum!

I booked through Expedia. I found the hotel almost 2 months before check-in to let them know I had two small dogs. when I got to the hotel, the lady checking me in was not friendly. My wife then walked in with the two dogs on the leash and the lady looked and got very snitty and said oh I see you have two dogs we weren’t told that, they’ll be a dog fee. I then told her I had phoned prior to let them know about the dogs. She then checked her computer and said oh yes, I see there’s a note saying you had two dogs, there’s a pet fee. She did not apologize for her rudeness and her attitude was not very welcome. in the morning when we went for their breakfast, the scrambled eggs were dry and as hard as cardboard. their ham had no flavour and the hashbrowns were dry and hard. I do a lot of travelling and that is the first time I could not eat anything but the toast at a breakfast. overall, all the stuff that I’ve saw there did not look like they wanted to be working.

The staff was amazing. We had car trouble so our departure was delayed, but Geri was more than helpful and very understanding. The maintenance man (so sorry! I can’t remember his name) was also very helpful in helping us find an auto repair garage. The room was spacious and clean. The price was a super value, especially with breakfast thrown in. Breakfast was fine - scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, sausage and an assortment of cereals, morning pastries and juices. We were very pleased with the value for cost and would definitely stay there again. It is a bit of a walk to restaurants, but a very short drive to several good ones. Thank you, Lakeview!
