Clean room and very helpful and accommodating staff. We stayed in late October and enjoyed use of the swimming pool (lots of deck space), dry sauna and hot tub. All were in working order and clean. Lots of towels available at poolside. Needed to ask directions to turn on hot tub jets; it wasn't obvious. Shops are accessible from inside the resort. Loved this aspect. Seagulls Restaurant food is great. We used our voucher (ask at the hotel front desk if you decline housekeeping). Had parking on the hotel property. Elevator worked. Couldn't find any working ice machines but who needs ice in October. All-in-all a great getaway.

Restaurant and lounge were nice. Pools were nice however, there were some plastic chucks taken out of the side of the pool which made a little unsafe. Our room was good needs upgrading.This hotel needs some upgrades for sure.

Seagulls Restaurant serves up good food. The Irish Lamb Stew special was excellent. The indoor pool was warm and bright with a nice hot tub. It could use some fake palm trees and other plants to create a more warm atmosphere.

Everything’s great in this hotel except for the parking. We we’re already checked in & parked but needs to buysomething so we went out. Coming back it Took us 10 mins to go around and look for another spot. Good thing someone left their spot.

Hi, We enjoyed the view from or balcony. I always thought Lake Winnipeg reminded me of the ocean. beautiful. However, the rooms were not as clean as i would have liked. The balconies/table needed a good wipe down including the railings which were filled with spiders at night. I cleaned it. Also missed matched toilet seat and tank plus finding long black hairs on my pillow cases. I also noticed mold around the jet bath that i cleaned. These small issues can vastly improve he integrity of a hotel .

Our overall stay was great. My only issues were maybe the lack of updates done to the rooms. Our sheets had blood stains, the pillows were so old and used it wasn't easy to get comfortable. Our screen door kept falling off the track whenever we wanted to sit on the balcony or just open for some air. Staff was friendly and our stay really was nice but I do think it is time to maybe have someone go room by room and see what kind of upgrades could be done. Maybe if you see the blood stains on the sheets just throw them out instead of rewashing and putting back on the bed. It was a little disgusting to see.

The location is perfect, right on the beach. Beautiful views and boardwalk. Fun bar, great restaurants and shopping all within a five minute walk. However, I booked adjoining rooms as we were a bigger group. One room smelled okay but the other room was absolutely terrible. The musty, wet dog smell was so incredibly overpowering. We opened the windows, door, everything trying to get rid of this horrible smell but nothing worked. We ended up keeping the room so we could keep the adjoining rooms but didn't use the second room at all because it was so bad. In the room that smelled okay there were a lot of cleanliness issues as well, for example: when I picked up the little container of bodywash there were 5 or 6 dead bugs underneath it. Overall: the location is incredible, the pool area is great but the rooms are not clean.

I liked the proximity of the beach and restaurants. I disliked that the hotel had no body wash, very little shampoo, the balcony was dirty and there was too much noise at night and in the morning. We were charged $219 per night and the cleanliness was not even up to standard. We were not asked at check out how our stay was.

The older part of the hotel is really in need of a refresh. The rooms are a little dated and it would have been nice to have a microwave to heat up coffee and stuff. The single serve coffee makers are also dated and could be improved.

Rooms need a lot of work. Mattresses all slope, our clothes closet doors were off the track, the screen door to the balcony was ripped off its hinges and leaning against the wall of the balcony. It would of been nice to have that screen door to keep the bugs out instead of listening to the 1970's screaming air conditioner. Obviously, we will not stay there again.

If you want to spend some time in Gimli, this is a fine place to do so if you are looking for a hotel. The place is located right by the beach and there is parking on site too. The beds were comfortable and the patio was nice to have. The negatives were the tv channels rarely worked and the wifi signal could not manage to stream a tv as an alternative. Also the hot tub is incredibly small and busy. The sauna was great though, and they do have an adult hour 10-11 in the pool. Lot's of food choices around and below the hotel also. Overall, a decent stay in Gimli but next time I would try another place.

It was nice to be close to everything. We enjoyed seeing Gimli sites that were open...but the Gimli Glider and tourism information was closed. We are Deaf and the closed captioning on our TV was not working. All TV's must have closed captioning available...it was mandated by the government.

It was quiet! Thank god! I hate hotels that you can hear your neighbors. And the king size bed was so comfortable that I wanted to take it home. lol. My only complaint was that there was no plug in the bathtub to have a bath:( So shower only.

The locatiin was excellent. The property is very dated. Our room had a large tear in the carpet that you'd think would warrant a new carpet. The fridge and a/c were very loud. No microwave in the room but a meeting room on our floor had a small underpowered microwave we were told we could use if required. Cleanliness was an issue. The room needed a good wipe and the shower curtain should have been replaced quite some time ago. My wife noted the bath tub would slowly drain and she had to run the water to add more a few times. On a positive note the beds were soft and comfortable and 3 choices in pillow firmness were on each bed. The convenience of the hotels close location to gimli beach made up for the smaller irritants but I would surmise the hotel is resting on their laurels and isn't in a huery to make improvements.

Pay extra for everything, hotel staff service was poor. The restaurant service was great and food was great as well, hats off to them. Rooms need a serious update and or cleaning. No real room services, pain to get what you require. TP, clean towels, room refresh.

You can’t beat this location which is how they get away with not updating. It very much needs a refresh, and updating when it comes to accessibility. Staff were unfriendly and unwelcoming which is sad for a town that sees so many tourists. We enjoyed our stay because of what Gimli has to offer rather than this hotel being a star.

Not what I was expecting for the amount of money we paid. Lakeview Hotel & Resorts has a good name but not this one. We stayed in the "hotel" section, no maid service for a two night stay, ok. No bath tub plug, ok. You could not provide me with one, I bought my own at the Deals for Dollars store across the street. No room service even for a light breakfast, or lunch. You have a restaurant. The pool was nice. I feel like the Lakeview Hotel could use a big investment in the "Hotel" side. The "suites" seem to pull in the money especially for families, big fishing events, or out of town construction groups. So if you're only staying a couple nights, dont expect much. Book early in advance so that you can get a room facing the lake because facing the street is loud after 7pm with the loud cars and motorcycles all night and in the morning its construction and lawn mowing at 830am. The town is cute, friendly and you feel very safe. Lot's of history there but you can see the "resort" part is starting to show its age. I would go back to to Gimli for sure but would be more inclined to spend money on an Airbnb or Verbo.

This room cost $230 Canadian. Room decor extremely dated..70s? The air conditioner was one still controlled by flipping tab on conditioner. It was so noisy could not have on while sleeping...temperature that over night low 20s. It made the bed vibrate. No USB ports in room. Ice machine out of order . Cups for coffee and glasses were PLASTIC.(For price would expect glass). The bath towel was small and so threadbare almost see through. Shampoo/Conditioner/Body Wash were on wall of shower. I was already in shower/wet....Shampoo and Body Wash bottles EMPTY! Had to exit shower and retrieve my own. NO breakfast included in this price. Bridal party including parents and other family had planned breakfast morning after wedding. Not only was breakfast not included...breakfast was not offered PERIOD. There was no dining area available! Way overpriced for such dated and substandard accommodation and amenities.

The hotel is ok with decent room size . The only thing we did not like is the restaurant and the waitresses. We went for breakfast at 935 am and we were served our breakfast at 1045 which was over one hour. The waitress was not nice at all and seems she was throwing the dishes on the table when she served us. The food was not worth the money too. We ordered some hashbrown and it was cold and not tasty at all. This hotel should do better . I for sure won't pay for that room price again for that service.

The facilities are tired and need some upgrading. The biggest disappointment was food services. It was Mothers day Weekend and we were not advised that reservations were needed for the Friday dinner time until we arrived at the restaurant. We had no other options except the bar. We were also informed that the Sunday brunch was also booked solid so we had to reserve for 9:00 in order to get breakfast.
