What guests think

At Quality Inn Toledo Westgate, reviews point to a budget stay with many finding rooms clean and comfortable, while others note uneven upkeep and dated areas that make experiences vary significantly by room and visit.

Some guests enjoyed spacious or quiet rooms, but others report small bathrooms, thin walls, and unreliable Wi‑Fi or TV. Many guests praise friendly staff, though issue resolution and housekeeping cadence vary, and a $100 incidental hold at check‑in was not always clear in advance. Breakfast ranges from good to disappointing, and multiple reviews note the lack of an elevator and a modest gym with equipment issues. Expect a simple stay that works best for short, no-frills visits.

Was given a room on the 2nd floor and then told there was no wlevator. My sister has a very difficult time with stairs due to a health issue. Had i known there was no elevator, i would have requested 1st floor room when i made the reservation. There were none available when we arrive, so she had to climb the suars and i had to make 3 trips to carry our luggage up.

We were not informed during registration that there was no elevator in the hotel. As an elder, this is critical information esp., considering there were no available rooms on the first floor.

There’s no elevator so you have to drag your bags up a big flight of stairs. The drain / plug in my hotel rooms tub didn’t work so had to use my heal to take a bath. There’s no ceiling light, just lamps in the room so it’s rather dim, plus one of the lamps bulbs was burned out and didn’t work. For the cost I wasn’t impressed with how shabby everything was overall. It says no smoking of anything / any kind but the room and hallway smelled of old cigarette smoke. The corners of the shower where the tile meets the tub had black in them which could be black mold.

The hotel is pretty basic and ok I used the gym but the eliptical trainer was broken and the treadmill kept stopping and was extremely loud. The tv in the gym area would not turn on and the water dispenser was empty. The included breakfast was very basic on styrofoam plates. I drink decaf coffee, but none was available The iron in my room was really old and very dirty and in order to use it I can to clean it with a bathroom towel which I think I may a badly soiled in doing so. The desk clerk who checked me in could not have been nicer. It was in expensive and it’s in a convenient location in Sylvanja

The fitness room had three pieces of equipment and was without free weights and/or a lock on the bathroom door. The water system in there needed a new filter. The room was fine. Wall mounted shampoo/conditioner/soaps. Spring mattress, few bugs (ants, spiders). Window actually opened and was without screen. Heat worked nice. Decent water pressure in the shower. Nice 8cu ft fridge and mini coffee machine in room.

There was no stay. I made the reservations for two women who are wheelchair bound. I specifically checked this necessity on the site; however, upon arrival Quality had no rooms available on the first floor and no elevator to accommodate the ladies. Needless to say, I had to scramble, inconveniently, to secure other accommodation’s.

I liked the lady that prepared the breakfast she was friendly, orderly, and accommodating. (We tipped her both days). Staff was friendly. However hallway and room was filthy, I asked for cleaning supplies and I cleaned our room myself. Mattress was filthy and there were roaches in the bathroom. Garbage can looked like someone had puked in it. Floor had not been swept or mopped and the bed looked like it had not been changed so I asked for clean sheets. Take this one off your list it's pretty bad!!'

Convenient to the highway but constant 1 or 2 individuals roaming the parking lot at night smoking, could not tell if they were guests or not. Older property that is trying to remodel but much more to be done.

This was a good place in a good location. It’s a little run down: there were ugly stains on the upholstery of the chair and hassock, and I wished the room were carpeted instead of having that awful fake wood cladding. Also, I wished they posted their pet fee on their website; it wasn’t outlandish, but it does seem kind of cheating not to declare it.

I did not recall being notified up front about a 100 deposit on a payment card until I got there. The wouldn't take my Apple Card because it had no visible numbers. I had to overdraw my own debit card to check in. This needs to be made much more clear at booking. Also, there was no carpeting in the room. It was all some sort of tile. Not comfortable at all. The room was tired and needed painting. Half the electric outlets didn’t work for my device chargers and the internet did not work at all - connected but with no data. And there was a chirping fire alarm in the hall outside my room. Thank god for a white noise app on my phone. Would not recommend.

This is not a good choice if you are looking for a quiet night's rest before getting up early for work. The carpeting in the rooms has been replaced with vinyl planks, and the walls are thin. Our start was interrupted by a large group arriving around midnight and making so much noise it sounded like they were in our room. Also all odd numbered rooms gave the Texas Roadhouse next door. You can hear their outdoor speakers pumping music until closing time at 11pm.

We stayed in Room 114…..extremely comfortable bed! My only suggestions would be that they change out the toilet seat (it looks like glue has dried on the edges) and fix the bathroom door so it closes properly! The TV didn’t work in the room at all when I first got there Friday. Two female desk clerks tried to fix it but couldn’t. Then the the night clerk got it to work but the remote control on-off switch and volume controls still didn’t work. At check in they said they clean the room every third day. After asking for room service they didn’t do it until day 6. They made us bring down our dirty towels to the front desk to get new ones claiming it was not their job. I guess its my job to pay for the room, do the laundry and take out the trash. I traveled to my hotel and could not stay due to my room not being clean nor any other rooms being available per manager Amber who also refused to give her last name as well as any receipt for me for proof of purchase. The room was also very strong with bleach masking other smells, and I could not breathe, Amber (manager) and Christine (cleaning lady) got angry then replied what else are they supposed to clean with and ignored my request. The bed had visible staining as well as hair from the bed pillows to the floor, but the manager told me it's nothing she can do and asked me to leave by telling me I can go.

With today's economy, we all are looking for the best deal and customer service. I happened to stay at 3 different hotels in one week, and I can truly tell you that this Quality Inn was the best by far! From the desk clerk (Dee) to the breakfast service by Kathy, all the staff were friendly, attentive and personable. The customer service and friendliness was by far the best I have experienced in quite some time. As most of the world has placed customer service in a back seat, this Quality Inn staff is the driving force of why I will choose them again when in town.
