Hard Rock Hotel London Ontario - Stylish Stay

What guests think

Reviews of Hard Rock Hotel London Ontario portray a modern, activity-rich stay with very clean rooms and friendly staff, popular indoor outdoor pool and hot tub, and convenient access to the 100 Kellogg complex’s dining, bars, and family attractions.

Common drawbacks include slow restaurant or poolside service, occasional check in delays or booking issues, and parking that can be limited, paid, or a short walk. Rooms are spacious and contemporary, with heated bathroom floors and lighting features, though a few guests noted basement placements, limited bedside outlets, or noise from hallways, trains, or the pool area. While many spend their time on site, several reviews describe the surrounding neighbourhood as industrial or sketchy. Shinny new hotel, the overall place is still in mint condition. Cool decorations, the potret painting of famous Canadian singers are on the hallways. Stayed in the king + bunk bed room for family of 4. The mattresses were so comfy, light and temperature control are modern and easy to navigate. Complimentary nespresso pods instead of the other types of brew your own free coffee. We enjoyed the gym, pool, the outdoor hot tub as well as the factory adjacent to the hotel. The price of the food in the restaurant is surprisingly very reasonable. Great for sort staycation. Cons: Parking is a bit of walk which is not too ideal during winter. Water pressure in the shower was too weak, No microwave in the room, No electrical outlets on the nightstands and desk was a bit odd for us.

We had a great stay. The hotel was impeccable, very nicely decorated. Staff were helpful and attentive. Restaurant had a great breakfast and good service. The pool and hot tub area are nicely appointed with indoor outdoor pool access and lovely patio area to sit outside. The gym is fully equipped including squat rack and full free weight range and cardio machines. I am not one to stay at theme type hotels but this place was way beyond expectations and an excellent value.

There was no internet so tv didn't work. The hot tub was broken. I spent over $1000 on one night in total between room rate and food. After 2 hours on the phone with front desk we were laughed at for expecting too much. Nothing was offered to make it up to us. Very dissatisfied with the horrible staff.

We recently stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel in London, ON and were very disappointed with our experience. We chose this hotel specifically for a staycation, with the main draw being the indoor outdoor pool for our 9-month-old. Unfortunately, the pool was not heated and was far too cold to use, making it completely unusable for us. This was the primary reason we booked the hotel, so it was a major letdown. Additionally, our room was located right next to the train tracks. Trains passed multiple times during the night and woke our baby on more than one occasion, which made it very difficult to rest. Overall, the stay did not meet expectations and was not worth the cost. I would not recommend this hotel, especially for families with young children.

The heated floor in the bathroom was an amazing amenity, the room was spacious and comfortable with lots of storage, plenty of high-end toughest and effective lighting options, including under-bed lighting. The room was in the basement which was a little odd, the mini bar and snacks were all auto-charged on pressure sensors, but there was no signage that warned of that, and there was bleed through of bass speakers from the pool area that reached out room despite the sound proofing.

The property itself is beautiful – the grounds, the atmosphere, and the overall setting are exactly what you’d hope for when booking a getaway. Unfortunately, the service didn’t come close to matching the surroundings. From the moment of check-in, the staff seemed disorganized and uninterested in helping. This poor service carried through to the lobby bar, the beer garden, and the pool bar. Each experience felt frustratingly slow and inattentive, which really took away from the enjoyment of what could have been a fantastic stay. If the service improved to match the quality of the property, this could easily be a five-star destination. Until then, it’s hard to recommend.

Everything was perfect. I had Valet service part of my booking. When leaving we confirmed pickup of the vehicle 5 minutes prior as the card said. When we got downdtairs the car was not at the front, and we told the front end staff we need our vehicle from valet service, we are ready to leave. The lady said "one moment" and went behind a door, got the keys and handed it to us expecting us to find our car and leave. Its not a this happened today october 17 at about 12:05 pm. Im not bent about it, but if i have valet as part of my service that i paid for, can i please get what i paid for?

I wish I could give this hotel five stars. The room itself, once we got in, was phenomenal. Modern, clean and beautiful. However, the reason I am giving this a three star review is because upon arriving at the hotel at check-in time which was 3 PM, we were told our room wasn’t ready. So we went and sat in the bar and had a complementary drink. At 4 o’clock we checked again. It wasn’t ready. We had plans that evening, and had nowhere to get ready or put our bags. Our room still wasn’t ready until 6 PM. It was a super inconvenience. The staff were great, and although it screwed up our evening’s plans, the hotel is still fabulous. We would probably stay there again.

My only recommendation would be to tell housekeeping to not disturb guests before their check out time. I did not put up my do not disturb signage because I’ve never had the issue of housekeeping knocking on my door BEFORE my check out time which was at 11 am. She came at 10:30am and knocked on the door and when confronted her excuse was that some guests check out before their check out time. Wouldn’t it be revealed by front desk that I’d checked out? Was there some sort of lack of communication on their end? Either way it was not appreciated. Other than that everything was great, the room was lovely, very chic and trendy. Very cool hotel,

Booking was terrible. Charged in USD (I'm a Canadian in Canada booking a Canadian hotel). Customer service tried explaining to me that there are no refunds. I agreed to $361 not $520. They cancelled but did not yet refund. I get to deal with that next week. Called the front desk and asked to book. They were unhelpful. Rebooked with Expedia for more but charged accurately. On arrival I explained. She said sorry a lot. Was unable to honor their advertised price. Room booked on Expedia was not available so we got "upgraded" to a room for travellers with children. (Upgraded because it was more expensive. We don't need the room with bunk beds so we got a smaller useable space). On checkout we were asked how our stay was. Explained these issues. They said they were very sorry. Wasn't looking for any sort of apology or discount. I just wanted my room that I ordered to cost what it was advertised for. That did not happen.
