What guests think

At Comfort Suites Austin Airport, travellers repeatedly praise the convenient airport location and generally friendly staff, but report inconsistent upkeep with frequent shower and water pressure problems, occasional pests or smoke odors, and varying room comfort, especially firm beds.

Rooms are often spacious and recently refreshed in places, yet hallways and some bathrooms feel dated or poorly maintained. Airport rides via shuttle or arranged Lyft and on-site parking, including park-and-fly, are appreciated, though a few note dim lot lighting. Breakfast feedback trends positive with waffles and hot items, but some guests found items cold or average. Overall, expect a convenient, budget-minded stay near the airport with mixed maintenance and comfort.

We stayed here because of the proximity to the Austin airport and that we could also park our car here while we were gone. An additional fee was charged for parking. The front desk clerk was extremely helpful to us when the hotel couldn't find our booking. He also arranged the Uber for us at 5am the next morning for our trip to the airport.

The staff at this location was excellent. The room was clean and spacious. the beds were extremely comfortable. The bathroom was spotless. Free anytime coffee and breakfast were more than what i could asked for. Best part was the shuttle to and from the airport. Would stay at this location again in a heartbeat.

The staff and property were great. It was clean and nice looking. The only issues we had were the toilet paper holder in restroom was broke, we booked a 1 king suite but got a 2 Queen room (not a deal breaker though) and the beds were sooo uncomfortable!! If you like very firm you’ll have zero issues at this hotel. We didn’t sleep well on the beds because they were way too hard for us.

Beds are hard spring mattresses and you can literally feel the springs. Good for children who like to jump on the bed. Pillows are homemade and not comfortable, pillow stuffing sewed into a case. Water pressure on the 4th floor a 3/10, you have to stand directly under the shower head and be patient. Bar soap for body wash. The window leaked, when it rained water quickly built-up in the frame. Not horrible, I would just never stay here again unless necessary . The waffles for breakfast were their saving grace.

Stayed for just a night, glad it was only one. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. They were hard and had no support to them. Pillows were the size of couch throw pillows and also uncomfortable. Good luck trying to get a hold of the front desk if your needing something like I did. The room had an iron but no ironing board. No one would answer the phone when trying to get a hold of them. I even went down to the front and still no one to be found. Overall, if you don’t mind a hard bed and only needing to stay one night, then this will do. If needing a longer stay You might want to look at some place else.

Front desk staff was very slow, not friendly, and took a long time to do anything or answer questions. I have called in advance to see if they had a crib available for my baby, which I was told they did. When I arrived, the lady working the desk said she wasn't aware that they even had cribs. Eventually she found it, but it took forever. Multiple other times when I bought items from the store or dealt with the front desk, the employees were not happy or friendly and were sometimes rude. We also went three full days without anybody coming into our room to make the bed, give us new towels, or take out the trash, even though I asked multiple times.

Person in the front made us wait an hour in a half or more to check in because the system was still showing the day before, got to get a room til 3am mind you we have kids and we’re getting in late from the airport exhausted. We get the key and we’re trying and trying to get into the room and the key isn’t working then out of no where a guy opens the door and started cussing at us asking us what we’re doing trying to get into his room. So we go down again ask for another room, we get the key to the second room, and one it wasn’t the room we asked for, two the room was dirty. Dirty towels everywhere and the bed undone and three the room was extremely hot. By this time it was almost 4am. Then finally we go down again and demanded another room and the guy just blamed it on the worker that was in before him. Then when we had just got there a car had got broken into to. There was glass everywhere. It was a horrible experience to say the least.

Shower was broken. They could not fix or move us to a room that worked. Water just pours straight down. Exhaust fan in bathroom didn’t work, main light built into the mirror would strobe constantly if turned on. They didn’t even have a clean bed sheet to give us for the pull out couch in our room, let alone pillows or a blanket. Night desk staff was friendly but the management they called basically said there’s nothing they can do. The only thing hot and fresh at breakfast was the waffle you make yourself. The eggs, bacon etc in the heating tray were literally cold like straight from a freezer, yuck! Many other guests at the desk with complaints of their stay as well. Will never go back to this hotel, that is for sure.
